9 Dreamy Bubble Hotels and Airbnbs Around the World - AFAR

"Perched above the vast Capertee Valley in New South Wales, each of three transparent bubbles offers wake-up views over a canyon wider than the Grand Canyon and excellent bird-watching among some 237 species. Bubbles come with a wood-fired tub, firepit and telescope, and guests can learn about Aboriginal astronomy at night; cooking equipment is provided but visitors should bring food and drink, with the Mudgee wine region less than an hour away for supplies or tastings." - Lyndsey Matthews, Maya Kroth

WOW...our glamping experience in Pisces exceeded our expectations. The things we loved the most about our stay: 1. The location! What a hidden gem the Capertee Valley is. The views from our site were just stunning! 2. Watching the spectacular sunrises and sunsets and sleeping under the stars...Magical! 3. All the site amenities..the fully equipped kitchen, the outdoor shower, the fire pit area, the bath tub area with those comfy robes…we were happy just to hang out at our site and enjoy the glamping experience. 4. The seclusion and serenity… We really enjoyed having the site to ourselves, not seeing the other glampers and being able to just disconnect from people and the world for a couple of days. 5. The wildlife that visited…the birds, the kangaroos, the wild goats. It truly was a wonderful adventure and we will definitely do it again.

We stayed in the Leo bubble tent from 16–18 November for our second wedding anniversary, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The view, the peaceful atmosphere, and the beautiful outdoor bath made the stay so special. Our top highlights were definitely the stargazing, the sunrise, and the sunset — each one was stunning. We have never seen that many stars in the sky ever! We even saw some shooting stars! The electric blanket kept us warm during the cold nights (a total lifesaver!), and the lantern speaker playing music when we arrived was such a lovely touch that set the vibe perfectly. They also provided basically everything we needed for a comfortable stay — pots, pans, plates, cutlery, a portable gas stove, a kettle, towels, and extra blankets. We had packed our own bottled water, but the water provided in the fridge came in handy on those hot days too! A couple of tips for anyone planning to stay: • Make sure to pack enough food, snacks, and bottled water for your entire stay, as there are no shops nearby. • It gets extremely windy and cold in the evenings, so come prepared with warm clothes — even in summer. Sonny, our caretaker, was incredibly helpful and responsive whenever we needed anything, which made the experience even smoother. The best host we could have asked for! Thank you for such a lovely stay — we made memories that will stay with us forever. Highly recommend! 🌟 - Basit & Sana

What a magical place! We stayed in the Ophiuchus tent and it was honestly the dreamiest stay. The outdoor kitchen was amazing, the amenities were next level, and soaking in the hot tub overlooking Capertee Valley felt surreal. Sleeping under the stars in a “bed that’s more than a bed” was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The bed rotates yes! Has table tennis board, wine cooler a picnic table - I could just buy one for my home! 😂 getting the best of nature while having all the luxuries - Glamping redefined — the ultimate stargazing escape. Highly recommend! And wait - this overlooks the widest canyon in the world! Best seats to the most spectacular views

We stayed in the Pisces Bubbletent and the view was absolutely breathtaking. * 🌌 Perfect for stargazing late at night or waking up early to watch the sunrise. There's a small telescope provided and you can take photos of the moon. * 💘 The entire stay felt extremely romantic. * 🛁 The outdoor bathtub has an incredible view! We're both tall adults and comfortably fit in the tub together. Wallabies were hopping around while we were soaking, which was awesome. * 🐐🦘 Baby goats and wallabies wandered past the tent a few times. * 🔥 Lighting the fire was easy, they provide fire starters, wood, and lighters. We had the best BBQ of our lives up there. Bring lots of food. * 🍴 The outdoor kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped (pizza trays, fire toaster tools, and more). There were two gas stoves, a mini fridge, tons of cast iron cooking tools, there's a woodfire grill. * 🚽 There's a proper shower and bathroom, and everything is eco-friendly. * 🚗 The website suggests a 4WD, but we arrived in a very low 2wd 2009 Kia Rio. We drove carefully along the higher parts of the road and made it without damage. Fair warning: the car *did* struggle a bit at one point, but it wasn't too bad. It's not really 'off-road'-ing, just a steep uphill at one point. * ❄️ It got VERY cold at night, even though we were here in December, definitely bring warm layers. * ☀️ There are very few trees to protect the view, which means no shade during the day. We ended up with sunburn during the day and freezing at night. Bring sunscreen, especially if staying more than one day! * 👣 The guide mentions the steps to the tub “reward the fit at heart,” which stressed me out 🤣. In reality, the walk is effortless and only a few metres. Everything is close and easy to access, but it obviously wouldn’t suit wheelchair users or someone with a broken leg. *🥀 We bought the romantic package, which included bamboo sheets, rose petals, solar lights. In hindsight, we think it wasn't really worth the price ($65). We had an amazing stay and will definitely visit again.

To celebrate a special birthday, my partner and I recently spent three nights in Ophiuchus. Words can not express on how amazing the whole experience was. Everything was just perfect. The location and views have you feeling you are on top of the world and add in the fantastic cooking set up and the separate shower and toilet facilities, it’s five star camping. Lying on a rotating bed while gazing at the night sky where the stars are so bright, they twinkle was incredible. Highly recommend a visit. We are coming back for sure.

All I can say is Wow! What an experience. From the moment you drive in, the property is stunning. We were speechless when we arrived to our Bubbletent (Ophiuchus) The view is absolutely amazing! We were extremely lucky to have amazing weather. The sky on sunset was beautiful, the sky on sunrise was amazing and we were even welcomed in the morning by a herd of goats frolicking through the property. A time to reconnect with a loved one, sipping wine enjoying the amazing country Australia has to offer. I do not recommend coming here if you hate: - animals and wildlife at your doorstep - spending quality alone time with your partner - beautiful sunsets and sunrises - amazing mountains and scenery - stargazing while laying in a comfy bed - relaxing and slowing down If you gave this place a 1 star review please check yourself as an individual. It’s nothing short of amazing. Communication was fantastic and Sonny our caretaker was lovely! 100/10

Stayed in Leo. Excellent view! Sunset and sunrise both were just mind blowing. Stay-in close to nature was memorable with that view. ❤️ Unprofessional service and extremely greedy. I requested them to change my date to another day so that I can go with my partner. They said they would leave the date available for other people to take. I checked myself to see whether they made the date online available or not, they didn’t. Next day they said that there was not takers, of course there will be no taker! They also said if I didn’t utilise this trip money would be forfeited. I had to go by myself. They also took $140 from my 350$ bond money without any explanation!

The whole experience was nothing short of Amazing. We were fortunate enough to book Pisces which came with everything you could possibly ask for given you are in the middle of nowhere. Sonny was easily contactable and available on hand to answer any queries. We were also very fortunate to have the best Weather possible, a clear nights sky to catch a few shooting starts. For anyone looking for some R & R and escape from reality, this is highly recommended.
