Buccaneer Park

It’s a unique park due to the location, facilities, and patrons. There’s a decent playground, full basketball court, public restroom, just across Buccaneer beach (a small beach) surrounded by expensive residence and I bet also vacation rental, the patrons of the park to me were quite interesting (in good and bad ways). There’s a cafe right at the park, how unique is that? Not everyday you get a park with a cafe.

Beutiful park with allot of climbing and on top of that is very close to the beach. Right across the street right before the cafe. Only thing I did not like was the homeless by the bridge next to the trailer park.

I used the Alltrails app but goofed (rookie mistake) by starting at 9:00 when the stretch of beach I planned to walk along was disappearing as the tide came back in. Beautiful morning and nice cool breeze. I made my way down Pacific then down to The Strand, walked the beach until I got to the break and turned around to return to where I parked at Buccaneer Park .

Nice park across from the beach. Big play ground, large gazebo with lots of picnic tables. No restrooms but plenty of free parking. Beach is mostly rocks but does have a shower and lifeguard station. Great for watching surfers. Buccaneer cafe has a great menu with outdoor seating.

Really cute little spot to chill and let your life relax.

First time back to Carlsbad and before we head to the beach. I stopped here to picnic with family after a long drive. The area is very calm and pretty. There is a convenient cafe there. It was shady, clean and friendly folks. The only complaint was the young fella wearing a hat hanging with the old couple living there. He kept starring and had a very negative vibe. Kick him out. Kids go there.

Wonderful rocky beach. If you just want to sit and watch the waves or the birds or the surfers in the water this is a great spot. Up and down pacific Ave is great actually.

This is a nice little shack food stop right across the street from the beach. This is more quick stop so don't expect to have a table service type of experience although they do have benches where you can sit down at. They have good coffee and nice healthy breakfast options. After you get your food you can go across the street and watch surfers in the Pacific Ocean. They don't make culinary masterpieces but they have tasty fuel for you to keep moving throughout your day.
