A Truly Amazing Place Everything about our stay was wonderful — the breathtaking view, the kind and welcoming owners, the helpful staff, and the delicious food. We spent five unforgettable days here, and honestly, I could have stayed much longer. The view alone made every sunrise worth waking up for. It’s a fantastic spot for surfing, but even if you don’t surf, there’s no shortage of things to do. Just ask at the reception — they’ll happily help you find something you’ll enjoy. One highlight for me was horseback riding along the beach, which I can wholeheartedly recommend. I also visited a nearby soup kitchen, a truly moving and humbling experience. Of course, you can always just relax and enjoy the beautiful beach, too. I especially want to praise the food — absolutely amazing and constantly changing. Definitely go for the half board option; you’ll probably eat more than you should, but it’s just that good!

Great vibe, clean rooms, and great people running the show. All round a great experience. Can't wait to go back. The views of the water from the balconies blew my mind. Delicious food was just the cherry on top of the whole experience! Thanks guys. Well done.

Amazing location! This was our first stop on the Wild Coast. It feels like being in the middle of the jungle, with a stunning view of the river mouth beach. We stayed in the little hut and loved it. the staff was lovely, it felt so safe, the kitchen is well equipped and the bar also inviting. People really miss out on not going here:)!!!

Wow what a magical place, not only is the location beautiful the people and staff are so friendly and accommodating. True South African hospitality and spirit. Did I mention they make the best pizza?

I had a grate time with my family on the 23rd till the25th of May. but now i left my daughters sneakers, pack of nappies, some few clothe of my daughter and called them 3 times and every time i call i get a different person with the same answer that they will check who was cleaning the room that day and I'm not happy with their responses because they all know about this because apparently the have a watsup group. I am so disappointed.

This little paradise is so special, for so many reasons. I love the sensitivity to nature in the way the place has been developed, with as much of the buildings as possible obscured by thick indigenous bush and trees. The walk to the beach, along the river is amazing. Something out of a childhood dream. Everything is done with such loving care and audacious creativity. But most of all, it is the generosity and kindness of the family run business. Really, I felt like offering them my home to stay in when they were in Cape Town. My family and I will always return to this special place as many times as we can.

We had the most wonderful time at Buccaneers. The staff are super accommodating and friendly. The restaurant food was amazing. The view is spectacular. There is a swimming pool and volleyball pit which we enjoyed. We will be back.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in one of the garden view rooms. It’s basic with no frills at all, but it’s clean spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed the bar/restaurants welcoming vibe with great staff. We arrived late so they kept a dinner for us and it was yummy! Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and good coffee. Well established grounds with plenty of trees, bush, flowers and bird life. Would recommend.
