Buchan Guest House

From the moment you arrive, George and Elena can't do enough for you. Their local knowledge is outstanding. The B&B is immaculate. There is a guest lounge with a record player and a huge TV and it even has wine glasses and games for you to use. The bedroom is lovely and has everything you need, including tea, coffee, complimentary toiletries, and even a diffuser for the hairdryer. Breakfast was an outstanding plate of Scottish fayre. There was also fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, orange juice, and tea/coffee. We cannot recommend the Buchan Guest House highly enough, it is a must stay. We will be back in the near future. Such a lovely start to our trip to Scotland! The hosts were so friendly and couldn't do more for us. Our room (ground floor) was spacious with a comfortable bed. We didn't go upstairs as stairs are quite steep, but there is a guest lounge. The breakfast room is spacious and the food was delicious, especially the porridge! Just a 10 minute walk into Moffatt, so ideal location too. Thanks for your hospitality Elena and George.

Lovely b and b. New owners doing a super job. Large breakfast with many choices, rooms classy and very comfortable and a great lounge for use if you have a spare minute or two. Highly recommended. We will return again. Moffat is lovely too with a charming high st and places to eat.

WONDERFUL B&B... We booked last minute not expecting too much. But WOW.., this place is fabulous and the hosts George and Elena are exceptional. The Breakfast was the best we have ever had in a Hotel or B&B the quality of the food and total experience was Outstanding. Car parking was provided and our car was looked after by the most Gorgeous, friendly White family Dog Would give them 12 Stars if possible, myself and my husband can't wait to stay here again.

We have just spent a night at this guest house on our way north and, were not disappointed. Elena and George are very welcoming and we had everything we needed in our room, with a very good hospitality tray and comfortable bed.It's quiet and very comfortable with a lovely lounge for guests use. Breakfast, cooked by George, was plentiful and very tasty. When next in Moffat we won't hesitate to stay here again. We would stay longer next time as we like Moffat very much. Plenty of places to eat , have a drink or walk. Locals are friendly too.

Great Hosts. Lovely place. Great nights sleep and fabulous breakfast. George and Elena are lovely and make you feel really welcome. They are in the process of renovating, but all the work that has been done, is for all the important areas. Bedrooms, beautiful, cosy upstairs lounge, and the dining area, have all been decorated to a very high standard, whilst keeping true to the original features of the house. Cannot fault this place, and great value as well. We wish them well. This is a gem.

We’ve been road-tripping across the UK, and this is hands down the best B&B we’ve stayed at. The place felt homely and inviting from the moment we arrived, with the kindest host who instantly made us feel welcome. They gave us a quick tour of the room and property which displayed the beautiful designed interiors. They shared all the local insights we could need, including top restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was a highlight it was absolutely delicious! The b&b is perfectly located – just a short walk to the town center and only five minutes from the expressway. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer, but sometimes the best experiences are Short n Sweet.

Beautiful guest house in a great location, just 5 mins walk from Moffat town centre. Facilities amazing - the guest lounge 😍 Our breakfast was delicious- it was obvious that top quality ingredients had been used. A great night's sleep followed by a fantastic breakfast. Well done George and Elena👌
