Buche Perico

The ambiance, food, and service were excellent! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the waitstaff was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering it’s located in a tourist area. I celebrated my birthday here and had a wonderful experience. They even allowed me to bring my own cake and surprised us by bringing it out later while singing “Happy Birthday,” which was such a thoughtful and special touch. It truly made the celebration memorable. The only minor downside is that parking can be a bit difficult due to the location, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault at all. Overall, my family and I had a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We loved everything at Buche Perico! Food was tasty, drinks and desserts original and yummy! Our server was very friendly and respectful. The atmosphere was lovely! Will definitely come back. Ps: Other reviews mentioned about slow service, for us service was a bit slower than we would have liked but it was December 25th and the place was packed + is the DR so no complaints.

Gorgeous hidden gem! Didn’t expect much from the outside but followed the reviews and was really impressed. Had the mufongo and tuna to start (pictured) and was delicious. The goat creole and the plantain ravioli were too tasty to even stop to take a photo. This place deserves 5 stars! Really great.

Bucho Perico is a hidden gem in the heart of the city center. From the outside, it might not seem very big, but once inside, it opens up beautifully with a stylish, modern design and a stunning surprise at the back — a small pond with a waterfall that adds a peaceful touch to the atmosphere. The food was truly enjoyable. I was recommended the pork belly, which I usually avoid due to the fat, and to my surprise, it came fried — something I hadn’t expected. But I gave it a try, and I’m so glad I did! It was incredibly flavorful, and the rice that came with it was absolutely amazing. All in all, we loved everything — from the setting to the food to the service. A wonderful spot to discover and highly worth a visit!

OMG of you're visiting Santo Domingo and you haven't gone to this restaurant do not tell anyone you went to Santo Domingo. The food is chefs kiss and the service and drinks were amazing. I do not speak Spanish and they were so helpful in getting me a translator. I love soup and was ordering one that would have been too large and the waitress stopped me. The drink of choice and suggested was perfect for the meals I took. As a solo traveler this experience was immaculate. I was full and satisfied. They do not bring the bill until you request it oh, did i mention the ambiance. Just look at the pics. I took a start off because the bathroom was smelly and one wasn't clean but otherwise I world definitely revisit. The price is also really good 👌 I included the bill for my meal. Such a relaxing experience with an explosion of flavorful meals. All my senses were being naturally and favorably stimulated

The food was mostly good. Other than very dry tostones we enjoyed the meal. Decor is lovely and it was a nice visit. Service could have been better though, we were at the table for 20 min before we could ask for a menu only to learn there was a QR code hidden that we had to scan.

We were visiting from California and had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. Juli and Patricia did an excellent job with everything, especially taking great care of my allergy. The food was truly amazing, and I felt very well taken care of throughout our visit. Highly recommend

This place was so good!! A favorite was the dorado ceviche! 😍 the atmosphere and service were incredible. I’d highly recommend this spot for a nice dinner out in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo.
