Such a rare and wonderful find in the Catskills! Buck Brook Alpacas is a must-visit if you're in the area. Alpacas are totally different from llamas—and way cuter in our opinion! 🦙 We were lucky enough to visit while one of the alpacas was giving birth—such an unforgettable experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we got to feed and walk with the alpacas, which was so much fun. They also have other animals like rabbits, peacock, chickens and llama, making it a great spot for kids and families. The entire place is peaceful, educational, and just full of charm. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re anywhere near the area!

Really nice place! Enjoyable for all ages. They are dog friendly, but would shy away from bringing any "barkers" (regardless of the dog's size) as the herds are very attentive to their environment and the visitors in it. Make sure to check out the farm store before you leave. We LOVE the soap and socks we got!

Buck Brook Alpaca farm is such a charming place to visit. It's been a family tradition for us for many years now as we always spend Christmas at The Villa Roma. For a small fee, you can enjoy a one on one experience with their friendly alpacas, or take a few out on a guided tour along the wintery trails. Perfect to soak up all the fresh crisp air. The farm is free to visit, the one on ones have to be reserved ahead of time and paid for. The farm is home for many animals, goat, pigs and you'll often find a few cats following you round as you explore. There's a gift shop on site, which you must stop in to see. They have lots of hand made items, from hats, gloves, to socks and so much more, most made with the fur of the alpacas. Also, They do have soaps and lotions that are made from the milk of the alpaca's, which is the most buttery soft lotions and luxurious soaps you'll ever use. The visit here is worth while, it's a unique way to spend some time with the animals and in nature.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must-visit in Roscoe! Buck Brook Alpacas is such a fun and relaxing stop—easily one of the best places to visit in Roscoe when you’re not fishing or hiking. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and you can feed and pet the alpacas, which are incredibly gentle and curious. They always seem to have a new baby alpaca around, which is just the cutest thing ever. It’s a great experience for both kids and adults—perfect for animal lovers or anyone looking to do something a little different. The farm is beautiful and peaceful, and there’s a small shop with cozy alpaca products, too. We loved every minute of our visit and will definitely be back!

A very fun place. The guided tour was very informative and engaging, but I don’t know if I would recommend it to everyone. You can get very close to the animals and even feed them.

Amazing farm . Amazing people. Went on a very cold February day. Loved exploring the barns and meeting all the animals. Grumpy pig (he was so funny), alpacas, friendly rabbits. Our guide was so attentive and friendly with our 5 year old daughter . We learned a lot and loved meeting the alpacas. Can’t wait to explore this place again in the summer. Bundle up if you are visiting in the winter months . Thanks again for a great farm trip .
