Buckaneer Bar

Not much to say here unfortunately. Small local bar....not much of a crowd attraction.. a few billiards tables... on average like 8-10 people at the bar. Can be awkward by yourself... no excitement to he had here in my opinion.

I met a friend on a Saturday at 2pm. It was surprisingly busy. I’m not really a bar kinda girl, so I don’t actually know if I should have been surprised or if that’s the usual crowd. Anyway, it was good. Not too loud, or obnoxious (if you know what i mean). Just a couple of pool tables, and electronic dart board. There’s no reason why anyone shouldn’t go! 🍻🍺

The Buccaneer is your classic campus/dive bar/watering hole. Cheap beer, Pool tables, TVs, Cigs inside. Stop in before or after a TU sporting event and the place will be hopping.

The beer out of the tap tasted watered down. Now that being said I haven't been to the buccaneer in about 2 years things can change things happen just my experience there at that time with that Budweiser beer didn't taste like I thought it should maybe next time it will

Kind of has a dive feel about it ("old folks and cigarette smoke" dive, not "hipsters and surprisingly expensive beers" dive). The selection is decent and they were very receptive to our nonsense (which was hitting the place up dressed as pirates). It's a teensy place, cool for shooting pool and I imagine generally a fairly quiet place when not raided by buccaneers. Can't say a bad thing about it, really. I love a flexible place with few frills.

Don’t go the bucaneer bar if you wanna be bullied into tipping for mediocre service, if I ask for ice in my drink, it’s your job as a bartender to do so, not tell me that my beverage isn’t my beverage without ice, seriously ? Then on top of that the very first time I ask for ice before I ever told the gentleman I’d tip him he stated that if I wanted ice I should tip him, out of kindness I gave him 2$ he then saw me put them into the jar, he also when I asked for quarters TIPPED himself right off the bat, bartenders shouldn’t be allowed to drink on the job either, this guy was shooting shots with his “friends”. To be honest the three gentleman at the bar that approached me, the bar tender his brother and some random, we’re all heavily intoxicated but in no way is it anyone responsibility to paying for another persons well being, the fact that I tipped at all should’ve been fine but no the bartender had to have the world biggest breakdown over a 5$ tip I’m sorry were you expecting me to give you my life’s savings for a handful of drinks ? You work at a dive bar fam not the ritz get over yourself

Cozy and friendly bar, right by the University of Tulsa. Great pool tables, Golden Tee, dart boards and arcade games. Great dive bar/ neighborhood bar with a cheers type atmosphere. Always great specials and if there's a game being played, they'll have it on with plenty of tvs to see it on.

Really cool hole in the wall bar with incredible service. Every time I’m in here there is Creed being played and it’s an unbelievable experience. I would definitely recommend this bar to any friend. lol

As good as Dive Bars get, 1st visited back when I had friends @ TU as it's right off campus. Passed it several times wanted to stop back in, finally decided too & found great conversation & cold beer after bellying up to the bar

If you like hipsters who sit on pool tables this is the place to be, wouldn't suggest coming here at all. For real. Just don't.

Beer is cheap. Bar is small. It is listed as a dive but I'd call it a college bar. It's an easy place for a cold adult beverage after work.

Best dive bar around. Cheap drinks and the bartenders are professional and fast. Always a friendly group of regular to play pool with.

Favorite TU area dive bar :)))))))))))))) always a fun time and great bartenders. Pool and darts and Thursday is karaoke!!

Hey it is the Freaking Buck it is a damn tradition! SHould be listed as a historical monument or national treasure..really though great place to grab a coolie

"The Buc" is a cool little dive bar which happens to be one of Tulsa's oldest watering holes. This is the type of place where you want to go for a cheap beer (they have some of the cheapest prices I have seen in Tulsa) and listen to the jukebox. The bartenders have always been friendly to me, and very efficient. There are many different types of people that frequent this bar: some friendly, others not so much. Buccaneer used to get pretty rowdy on weekends, with its close proximity to the TU campus. I'm sure that this is still the case, so those who are older than, say, 22-23 might just want to visit during the week when it is not so crowded. This is a smoking bar, so that fact alone might dissuade certain people from visiting...but I think it adds to the atmosphere every dive should have.

This place is a great hole-in-the-wall dive-ish bar in midtown Tulsa, right across from TU. A sign in the joint says that it is the "oldest bar in Tulsa" , but I cannot confirm or deny that. The reasons I like this place are the drink specials. They had Guinness on draughts for $2.75 a few months ago but the last time I went there, they were $3.50. I think I wasn't in there during happy hour. The staff there changes often but the owner comes in frequently and has been known to give house drinks, especially when there are so few people there. He also owns Fishbonz and Red Rooster.

If i could give it 0 stars i would. Waste of time. Incredibly rude service. Absolute trash bar. Unfortunate.

Great bar! It can be packed and you'll still get your drinks quickly. I absolutely adore all of the bartenders. They're always friendly and they remember their customers.

College bar at night but during the day it's awesome local regulars!!! No matter when it's so much fun and always an entertaining person to visit with. The service is always great!!

This is my favorite bar. The staff is the best. They are courteous, attentive, and caring. The drinks are cheap as well. They have a $5 beer and shot special, which is awesome. The TU crowd is only here on Thursday nights. Other than that, it is relaxed and full of regulars. Good place to watch a Thunder game too.

During the day time it's quite slow but as the hours go by it gets busier.. Every time I go here I have a great time. The staff is attentive and the customers are friendly. The prices are fair. It is closer to TU so sometimes you can barely find a seat.. In all its a great time.
