Buckeye Lake Winery is a hidden gem off of the I-70. We were on a road trip and wanted to stop for lunch. Little did we know that we’d find a place with good food, excellent service, and tranquil views. What enticed us was the $5 wine flight. However, our server, Oscar, described the food in such an enticing way that we couldn’t leave without trying some. He explained that there was a new chef who proudly only used fresh ingredients. He recommended the handmade cheese curds and Winery Burger. Neither disappointed. Not to mention, the view was so relaxing and complemented by a diverse range of music. People pulled up to the winery on their boats. You can walk out on the dock and see fish swimming about. Oscar graciously described the many offerings of the area, such as the fishing opportunities and nearby Fairfield Beach. He made us feel very welcome! Honestly, he provided the best service I’ve received in a long time. He checked in but not too much, made recommendations but not in a pushy way. I haven’t written a review in a while, but this experience called for it.

We went for my birthday dinner - our first time there. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Our server, Oscar, was attentive, nice and made our evening enjoyable. We would have loved to dine on the patio but unfortunately it was storming and wasn’t possible. We will definitely be back!

We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary with lunch outside on the patio. The weather was perfect, the food delicious, and our waiter, Oscar, was outstanding.

We absolutely LOVE Buckeye Lake Winery! Great wine, drinks, food, music, service, staff, docks, and owner! Corben waits on us all the time and he’s such an awesome kid, I’d claim him as my own! Thanks Buckeye Lake Winery for always showing us a stellar time with our friends and family!

A group of 15 had lunch at Buckeye Lake Winery today. The view was amazing from the patio and we had a wonderful breeze. This is a great choice for a beverage and appetizer outdoors. Our server, Spencer, was excellent handling a group this large. Our orders were taken in a timely manner and the food arrived soon after. I wish I could compliment the food as much as the service and atmosphere, but it was average at best. Very disappointing for such a lovely spot.

We love this place! It's such a lovely setting, especially outside on the patio looking out at the lake. For the most part our food was very good. I ordered the Nashville Chicken sandwich and upgraded from chips to seasoned fries. My husband ordered a burger and also upgraded to seasoned fries. The fries were just ok. They were just regular shoestring fries. They definitely weren't seasoned and weren't even brown or crispy. My $24.00 sandwich was supposed to come with coleslaw which I never got. The bottle of wine we ordered was delicious but would have been better had it been chilled. Our waitress Katie was attentive and friendly. I hate to complain but when paying premium prices, I expect things to be top notch. The little things matter. We will definitely be back as Buckeye Lake Winery is one of our favorite places.

Drove out from Columbus, excited to try Buckeye Lake Winery for the first time after hearing many good things. As she escorted us to our table, the (very, very young) hostess played footsy openly with a young man who turned out to be our server. Quite unprofessional, but kids will be kids... I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan after being informed the Salmon Special was unavailable (at 6pm on a Friday night). When the entree arrived, the plate was hotter than the fare—they are obviously in need of a new microwave. The noodles/sauce were watery and cold. A shame for a $27 dish. Way too expensive for such a lackluster offering. Very disappointing. Also turned out to get a touch of food poisoning from something I ate here. The best part of the experience was the lakeside view. I can get a better meal, with more amicable service, closer to home for half of what I paid here.
