The manager, Katie waited on us and we never wanted for anything. We ordered the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection. Prices were moderate/good and drinks were reasonable. The restaurant and Opera House is a hoot and a colorful history that isn't surprising considering Silver City's wild past

Whenever I crave a burger and a beer, I go to the Buckhorn! My daughter and I drove up to Pinos Altos for that very reason. The burgers are always cooked to perfection and the French fries are amazing. We shared a greek salad that was huge! The manager Katie was on the floor and was attentive and friendly, as always. The other serving staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. This is a very special place and I always take guests here as it holds historic ambience along with great food and a great staff of servers who are always doing there very best to make sure your experience is of best quality. Katie you are an amazing manager and always have been.

The Buckhorn Saloon, A Western Oasis of Delight! From the moment we stepped inside, the Buckhorn Saloon transported us. The atmosphere is pure magic – a perfectly balanced blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The décor is stunning, a testament to thoughtful design that evokes the spirit of the Wild West without feeling kitschy or contrived. But the true gems of the Buckhorn are its people and its food. The service was impeccable. We were lucky enough to be served by Jasmine and Katie, two bartenders who embody the spirit of exceptional hospitality. Their attentiveness was remarkable, not intrusive, but always present when needed. They were knowledgeable about the menu, offered helpful suggestions, and created a genuinely welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Their cheerful demeanor and efficient service elevated the entire experience. A huge shout-out to Jasmine and Katie – you made our night! And the food? Simply amazing. Every dish was prepared with care and evident skill. The flavors were bold and fresh, showcasing high-quality ingredients. Whether it was the perfectly seasoned steak, or the amazing chicken, every bite was a revelation. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the presentation was as appealing as the taste. The Buckhorn Saloon is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. It's a place where you can relax, enjoy delicious food and drinks, and feel genuinely welcomed. The combination of the stunning ambiance, the exceptional service from Jasmine and Katie, and the outstanding food makes the Buckhorn Saloon a must-visit destination. Five stars aren't enough – it deserves ten! We can't wait to return.

What an amazing restaurant in the middle of nowhere. About 6.5 miles outside of Silver City, this is what you would expect in a major US city. The ambience and atmosphere are perfect for a relaxing evening with the soft sounds of a live guitar in the background. I arrived about 6:15 PM and there were no tables available as a reservation is required well in advance. Who would have thought? There was a seat at the bar, which allowed me to enjoy this true treasure of Americana. The menu offers an outstanding selection of high end dishes that are well prepared by what must me professionally trained chief. The Buckhorn salad is an above average house salad at a very reasonable six dollars. The filet mignon was perfectly seasoned and cooked perfectly rare. It's nice to enjoy a nicely aged steak that is so well seasoned that you don't even think about touching it with sauce. The baked potato and steam broccoli were just as outstanding. For dessert I had the Crème brûlée. Words do not do it justice. WOW! I did learn that the executive chef and owner, Thomas moved here from San Francisco about 8 years where he owned several high-end steakhouses. He simply wanted to get away from the rat race that is San Francisco. The winner in this is not Thomas, it's the entire population of Silver City and the surrounding area! Thomas was not here tonight. My incredible meal was prepared by Chef Amy and her talented team! I don't want to forget the awesome bartenders. The two young ladies were friendly and attentive despite the packed house and all that comes with that….... Buckhorn Saloon & Opera House is a must try when visiting the Silver City area! I will be back many, many more times....

We love coming to the Buckhorn! They have a cozy bar with an awesome fireplace and delicious food. The service is also great - Katie, the manager, has a wonderful presence and the whole staff is very cheerful while maintaining a level of classiness which makes this place a gem and a very special experience. The history is also fantastic! A must visit when coming to the area, just be prepared for them to get busy - it’s a popular place!

Prices were a little high...I travel a lot for work and the prices here were comparable for a larger city, but the food quality wasn't quite there. Also, even high end restaurants have free refills on soda. It was good, but a few dollars over priced. Server was a little over eager, working a little too hard to make sure he was cool and got a tip. Having live music on a Wednesday night, though, that was pretty cool.

I have been here a few other times in the past. My family started with drinks in the bar then went to the dining area for dinner. The food is very good, big portions and quite pricey. It's not somewhere you would want to go often but more on special occasions. I suggest reservations. It's also very dark inside so if anybody has issues with sight you may have to help them reading the menu. I'm adding pictures which didn't really do the food justice.

You know, literally for decades I have heard of the legend that is “The Buckhorn”. In my family, generation after generation have raved about their favorite dishes to the little things that staff do to make the experience not just something to talk about, but something you wish everyone close to you could have experienced. I finally got my chance recently when I just so happened to be in town for a special client and let me tell you that my experience was one for the books. It was so much more than I expected in so many ways. From the food that so few places in the area could only hope to be compared with, to the live music that set the mood and left me open to the tequila shot politely offered to me by Jasmine. Speaking of Jasmine, Is it even legal to recruit only the most intelligent and stunning young talent within a 100 mile radius to work for you? I felt honored to be treated like royalty by such impressive company. The culmination of all of this turned my experience into a night to remember. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I’m only sorry that some of us can’t get passed our first world problems long enough to allow the magic to meet us where we’re at.
