This is a great restaurant if you like something special - great service. Our waiter Stephan (Stefan?!) was incredibly helpful and friendly. We had a starter and then main courses. And the suggested wine went well with the food choices. Also, if one of your party has difficulties walking, the restaurant recommends a taxi which literally parks in front of the restaurant. Great experience and I can only as much as provide five stars. Stephan deserved 7!

Had a great dinner experience. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was fantastic and worth the walk up to the restaurant. Loved the atmosphere.

Very nice atmosphere and terrific view down to the valley and town from the top of the hill, just below the castle. Food was excellent, service was unfortunately not great. They have a variety of options, and a meat-focused part of the menu. Possible to drive up and park at the castle (free parking), although google maps does not show the right way.

The perfect location! We had a business event and could not have ended it better. Very charming and caring staff. Delicious food and mindblowing view. Very good communication and flexible organization before our event. Absolutely worth the price! Thank you!

Had great lunch with a friend today, food was excellent, service very friendly, maybe a bit too cheeky, and the location is stunning.

Location is nice and food is okay but: - getting there by car is difficult if you don’t know the area - not very kid/family friendly - took 2 hours to get our food! - mixed up salt and pepper - overpriced

I think this might be the first English review! This place has alot going for it, great location, awesome outdoor patio, upscale interior dining. I was worried that would mean that the food wouldn't be any good. But, I was so happy with this choice. We stopped in for lunch after a walking tour of the city, and couldn't have been more pleased with the overall experience. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful, the drinks and food were delivered quickly, and everything tasted delicious. The view from the terrace is amazing, and I definately recommend stopping here if you are visiting Marburg.

Made a stop here on our way down to the city. Ordered my favorite Hessian dish Handkaes mit music. It is Hand cheese marinated in oil, vinegar and onions. It is served with bread. Delicious! a must eat when visiting Hessen.
