Very cool breakfast spot. Laid back vibe with great food. The smoked salmon scramble was excellent! Eclectic decor spread all over the restaurant. Busy but no wait. Really enjoyed our visit, would recommend it!

Great food and even better service! The Buck Breakfast had some much flavor and there are options to substitute your eggs and sausage for vegan alternatives. The Huevos Rancheros was a hearty made to order meal. You can definitely taste fresh quality ingredients. Our server was very attentive and friendly.

Absolutely amazing place to dine in. Their food was great, and the whole restaurant was amazing too! They have lots of historic photos, decoration, collections every single corner. It’s such a unique and beautiful place to visit!

I wish I could give 6-stars for the food, the atmosphere and the service as it was that nice. I was an unassuming visitor that just showed up and was very happy to have stopped here. The decor was amazing with tidbits and memorabilia placed tastefully throughout the building. The history of this place was worth the visit all by itself. My burger was really good, but I did not love the "secret sauce" and I am glad I went with good old catsup. I look forward to returning here. The ladies that took care of us were also top notch and just plain nice.

OK, so my chicken salad was delicious and it looked like the other things that the people I was with had were also pretty good a Smashburger a salmon salad a BLT chicken tenders. Tasted good will come back. Lots of fun stuff to look at if you’re in the neighborhood. Memorabilia from days gone by..

Look, the dining is basic. No gourmet food here. But the Ambiance!! In a fabulous location in Woodside with the walls filled with Silicon Valley history. Parking is terrible. Service is fine. But you're coming for the VIBE. A Soviet Era spacesuit? An Apple 1? Ancient household appliances? Yes, please. I love the AMD artifacts. Come for the museum, stay for the food.

Great food and a really cool spot overall. The place has tons of interesting details and a unique atmosphere. it felt like a great and unexpected find. The service was excellent. Our server Barris was great and very attentive. Our waters were always filled, and the food came out super fast. Will definitely be back soon

This is hands down the best place in the Bay Area! The service was incredibly fast—even though the place was full, we received our food just as we finished washing our hands. The atmosphere feels like another universe! It’s a real museum with so many fascinating items, from hat-shaped lamps to a computer part that Wozniak himself brought in. We stayed until closing and loved every moment. This place is truly one of a kind! A must-visit—highly recommended!

The breakfast is stronger than the lunch and the parking is a nightmare but Buck's still has the funky vibe and solid food that it always has. Now you just need to be sure you have reservations and it seems constantly overrun with people when I'm there. The shake was great. The BLTA was very good, particularly on the multi-grain toast, and the Big Buck won the day. I'd come back anytime but try to hit it off peak if that's possible Plus it came with the obligatory famous VC sighting with a few of the Draper klan in attendance. If it's good enough for a guy with $3B in bitcoin, then heck, maybe it's good enough for you.

The food was alright- Chili tasted like a canned chili. BLT was okay. The nachos were redeeming- the chips were thick and crispy, and the toppings were generous and good. The service wasn't the best- kind of inattentive. Not that big of a deal. The real reason i'm giving this place a negative review was because of the bathrooms- super dirty and unclean. I've seen cleaner bathrooms at a truck stop. One of the worst bathrooms i've ever been in a restaurant. I was there for over an hour and my partner and i both went in separate stalls at differing times, and we both were baffled by the state of the bathrooms. Parking isn't the best.

I've been to Buck's quite a few times over the years. I'm finally just getting around to writing a review for them now. I went for breakfast this morning with a couple of friends who were visiting for the weekend from Washington. First off, the decor. So dang cool. Beyond that, one of the employees today (I didn't catch her name) explained some of the history behind it to me. Apparently the big mural on the wall contains depictions within it of both the owners and people who they knew in the Woodside area when Buck's first opened back in the 90's. So cool!!!! I love to learn a little about the history of a place. It adds so much color and life to the place where I'm spending time with people who I (presumably) love. I know there's so much more history to this place... but I'll leave that for another reviewer or another time, because I don't want this review to get too long. Plus I don't know too much more about it yet. Lol! The food was delicious today. I got the "Big Buck", as shown in my picture. Just a delicious, filling, well-rounded all-American breakfast. Two eggs cooked how you like, bacon cuts, a couple pancakes, your choice of toast, and a small cup of fruit. Just good eating there, and I didn't get a big sugar or carbs hangover afterwards, to make the experience even better! If you're looking for coffee or pastries before or after you eat at Buck's, you can go right next door to the Village Bakery & Cafe. You looking for a place that feels like a diner out of the 90's, has an eclectic decor, nice open space, and invites you to hang out with your loved ones and have a good conversation without feeling rushed out the door? Funny restaurant that's also a museum of odds and ends plastered all over the walls. Had a very respectable Cobb salad for lunch, and fresh brewed iced tea. Great place!

Came here in the past and the food and service was great! But went back this past weekend and the food was cold...ordered new food and that food came out cold too...mentioned it to the waiter and she offered to remove the second food item from the bill. Was given the bill without the item removed, when I questioned the waiter she said that she couldn't remove it (she's the one who offered to remove it to begin with) and that we would have to talk to her manager. Not great food or service. Will not be returning.

Enjoyed a late lunch on Saturday - restaurant was still busy but we were seated quickly. Staff was attentive, helpful, and charming. The food was great - the clam chowder was exceptionally flavorful and comforting. We'll definitely be going back!

Friendly & fast service, delicious food and wonderful kitschy eclectic decor. Salmon tacos fresh and tasty. Sweet potato fries hot & crispy and chipotle mayo great. Veggie Power bowl tasty and chicken enchiladas too.

Had veggie power bowl, warm veg dish, fish tacos and double burger. The food was always delicious since first time i came here 15 years ago. Service also welcoming and friendly. Neat restaurants with many pics and history. Always enjoy coming here.

A diner in the heart of Woodside. The walls are filled with kitschy decor...the staff is quick and attentive...tables are filled with patrons enjoying a variety of dishes...scents of coffee brewing, chattering conversations from the morning family events...soccer uniforms, ballet outfits...horses tied up in the parking lot! A delicious breakfast sandwich was delivered to my table, munched in and thoroughly enjoyed...my husband gobbled down his smash burger and onion rings. A guaranteed good diner style dish will be served. A staple in the town of Woodside which gathers people from all over to enjoy!

The food was pretty good! The service was nice and the decoration around the restaurant is fun to look at.

The environment was very cutee! Love all the decorations and the cozy restaurant vibe, the service was also v good! They seated us super fast and the food also came very fast. However, I'd say the food itself was a bit disappointing- I didn't enjoy my eggs benedict so much and the portion was also very small! Wish the food would have tasted better for such a cute vibe!

Oh Bucks, such a landmark in woodside. We've been coming here for years. We had the opportunity to meet the owners a few years ago, and greatly admire their devotion and dedication to this restaurant. The ambiance speaks for itself, it's filled with so so so many amazing souvenirs that will keep you looking around while you dine. The best part, how they've managed to keep everything or clean and organized. The service is always very friendly. The waitress took our order and the food came out fairly quick. The food, not bad. I definitely prefer their dinner menu with the amazing burgers & milkshakes. We came in today for breakfast and it wasn't great. The "world famous coffee cake" just didn't hit the spot. Maybe it needs a sauce? More moist? I'm not sure, but it was not what I was expecting. Overall, we love and will continue to support our local neighborhood restaurant

This place is a solid 4-4.5 stars , probably one of the best diners I've been been to I came here for a Saturday lunch , expecting a mediocre lunch (based on yelp 3.5 avg reviews) but was very pleasantly surprised Everything we ordered : - Mushroom pizza customised to come with tomato sauce - excellent , fresh , yummy and rich . What a great pizza . 4.2/5 - farro and roasted veg bowl - very good , fresh and lemony flavours . Good portion as well .4/5 - jcal onion rings - one of the best onion rings dishes I've ever had . Thick onion inside with very heavy coasting - these were at a different level . 5/5 Decor is eclectic and cute and the service was excellent We are definitely coming back to this place

I've been venturing out if my neighborhood quite a bit lately and happen to be coming back from a day in the hills. Decided to stop at Buck's on the way back to the freeway and definitely worth the visit. Small and cute but friendly staff. Can be hard to find parking during prime brunch time. Had the short rib hash and was way better than expected. Short rib was still juicy and potatoes were flavorful. Perfect

I agree with Michelle Z and Alex. Food was "so so." I got ribs. There was a good portion, but no authentic "smoke" flavor or any special taste/spice which I would have expected for $24. Cornbread tasted like it was made from a Jiffy-box mix! Coleslaw was basically tasteless with about two very small pieces of apple. Waiter did come to ask how everything was (good), but never refilled our water glasses (had to ask). I asked for a handiwipe for my fingers after eating the ribs, but they don't even have those! The waiter did try to accommodate and brought warm water with a thick napkin. Regarding the restroom - ugh! Yuck! Why do they put a men's urinal in the restroom? They should go back to separate mens and womens restrooms. Seeing pee in the urinal was an absolute turn off; so disgusting! I had visited Bucks in the 1990's - 2015 or so and my experience was much different - food much better, service much more attentive. I hope they will take some of these reviews seriously and make it better. I'd return if I learn they decided to improve.

Interesting decor. When we asked about the story of Bucks, she said she didn't know. I ordered the short rib hash as it was a gluten-free option on the menu. Overall it was just okay, the potatoes were not very crisp and tasted like they were just reheated, the short rib was okay but on the drier side. It was pretty easy to park and get a table. The prices were pretty average for the cuisine and service was fair. I think the best thing about this restaurant was looking around at all the random decor.

We came here after a gorgeous day at Filoli Gardens. Perfect eatery spot up the road from there and still in Woodside. Famous spot where so many tech deals are/were made. Super laissez faire. Staff so friendly, chill and helpful in every possible way. There is a broad menu of anything that anyone could possibly want and it is perfect and delicious.

Really such a unique place in the Bay Area. Full of Silicon Valley history and old school charm. Gorgeous setting in scenic Woodside. This is a fun place to come for a meal, especially breakfast

The food here can be hit or miss. I'm not the biggest fan of the breakfast burrito or the pancakes, but the breakfast sandwich was good. The inside of the restaurant is really cool with a bunch of cool trinkets to look at. The hallway by the restroom is super tight and the staff can be difficult to flag down.

I've been going to Bucks since I was a kid, and I have no idea what's happened to this place. This morning, I had possibly the worst breakfast I've ever paid for. The potatoes were old and mealy, the eggs tasted cheap and overcooked, the toast was stale, and the sausage was greasy and low-quality. If this were a diner, ok--but when you're charging $35 for breakfast, am I paying for the decor on the walls? I'm genuinely sorry to write this, but I don't think I'll be coming back to Bucks. You're better off heading next door to Village Bakery or Café Borrone. RIP Bucks.

We enjoyed our time for the first time there! It's best if you're hiking around in that area and you wanna grab a nice meal post/ pre hike. We had the avacado toast, Denver omelette, veggie omelette, stake, and all were great. Onion ring was okayish. Best part was the service so so quick. Potatoes are a must have also because I love potatoes but they're flavorful. I also thought the cost was reasonable. Overall, a must visit place for the history of it. My husband was all over the place with the history and how some of the biggest Bay Area corporate deals were done there!!

Food: Both the salad and the pizza are great! It's my first time trying a pesto pizza (because I'm a big fan of red sauce so...;)), and it's great! It tasted very fresh and the toppings are just about right with the amount and the juiciness. Too bad that it doesn't have a strong fire-roasted flavor that I prefer yet it's decent enough! Btw I ordered a glass of Coppola Prosecco, perfect match Service: very nice and welcoming! The timing they come and how they serve is not pushy and helpful. Ambiance: Outdoor seats are casual and comfortable; indoors is very interesting in terms of all kinds of historical display and collections.

Good food and great ambiance!!! The service was good and we got the right food with great suggestions in addition to what we ordered. The booth we got was quite cozy and a staff member even came by later to turn the shades down when he noticed the sun in my eyes- great customer service!

Love this place! Great food, and a big outdoor eating area for the nice summery days - or if you came prepared with a jacket... it is nice most any time- sun-shaded, flowers around, plenty of tables. Milkshakes too. Big -little menu- plenty of choices. Breakfast is fantastic here. Make sure to check out the inside and the bar. So much to enjoy...., like Aunt Mildred's from the 1960s or Uncle Joes garage... funny, quirky. Lots of techies eat here, ignore their random comments, pay no attention to stock tips, have a good meal.

I moved here about two years ago from the East Coast and I love everything about Buck's. The food is solid, the service is great and it's the closest thing to a small town New England diner I have found anywhere near here. I especially like their short rib hash!

I've been going to Bucks since I was a child, before big Tech took over my hometown and sent the cost of living forever skyward. It's the perfect place for anyone with a wild imagination. Every inch of the walls are lined with bizarre trinkets and curiosities. I was recently was visiting and happened to stop by for breakfast. Unfortunately I missed the cutoff by 20 minutes. So for the first time in 30 years, I tried the lunch menu. It was decent but reminded me of this strange phenomenon I've experienced with most Bay Area legacy restaurants. Something about the food in the Bay Area is "faded" for lack of a better word. It's like the soul isn't there anymore. Everything tasted like it had been frozen before and I wasn't too impressed considering the hype and history of this spot. Maybe it was a fluke. But I suspect that this "tired and faded" feeling is probably a side effect of the trying to exist and survive in a region being consumed by tech moguls and mega rich.

I had driven by Buck's a couple years ago. I knew that they were a busy place in Woodside, but, I didn't know why. On a recent business trip, my coworker insisted that we go there to eat. Buck's is a a great place with lots of stuff on display. It was almost like a museum. He commented that it was one of the thickest BLT's that he has ever ate. He thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't share. My smashburger came with cheese and special sauce. It was one of the best burgers that I've had in a while. Needless to say, I didn't share either. I enjoyed the visit to Buck's and seeing all their ecletic art. It was almost like a being at a museum. Food was good. Service was good. No complaints.

Best tuna melt I have ever had!! Not greasy, perfectly cheesy! The inside it this place is old, dark and very dated. Miss the outside covid seating that used to be here. Service was super quick and attentive.

I love places like this. You know there is a story to all the things on the wall and things that have been collected at Buck's. But let's talk food! Breakfast is amazing but go for dinner and try the southwest salad! My oh my! I am a salad person. I think I will go back and try each one of Buck's Salads. Always buy a slice of coffee cake to heat up for your morning coffee. The service is fantastic at Buck. If you can't decide the servers will help you and I promise they will not steer you wrong. You will be entertained by things to look at around the room. Seeing is believing!!! I "need" a Buck's Sweatshirt.! Buck is a must visit.

We sat outside on a lovely night. Great setting and excellent service. The food was really good. I had the French Onion soup and loved it. Very cheesy, just the perfect onion flavor, and not too much or too little salt - just right. Nice bites of bread. We also had the Roasted Brussels Sprouts and they were a big hit. The flavor was just great, with a hint of maple syrup. In summary, a delicious meal, and Buck's is again highly recommended!

I had a recent trip to the Bay Area, and my girlfriend (a local to the area) told me I absolutely had to go to Buck's. The eclectic decor, friendly and fun staff, and delicious food are something you don't want to miss. There's a good variety of cuisine options, so there is bound to be something you'll like. Don't miss the desserts either. I had the bread pudding, but I've also been told all their desserts are good.

My kids loved their meal so much, we had to order a second one! Huge win! Great brunch place to take the kids. Fun loud ambiance and yummy food. Gets super busy on the weekend so you definitely wanna make a reservation or go earlier.

Eh, an overpriced IHOP. It's handy if you're in the area & the decor is fun, but this restaurant definitely needs an upgrade.

Consistently subpar food. It is actually kind of gross. Onion rings were flavorless and very greasy. Hamburger was saturated in thousand island dressing so the lettuce & bun were mushy and incredibly messy. French fries flavorless and somehow seemed old, like they came from someone else's plate. Chicken tenders definitely microwaved from frozen. I think Buck's is pulling a fast one on patrons who don't know any better. I cook a lot at home from scratch so maybe it is more obvious to me how nasty this place really is.

A great time at Bucks with awesome company! The bartender, Tina, was so incredible! She took such great care of us, and the drinks she made were all delicious! The prices of drinks were amazing, especially considering the quality and care put into each one! We had some appetizers which everyone enjoyed and loved. Chicken strips, nachos and calamari all hit the spot. The owner, Tyler, is so incredibly kind and you can tell his staff loves him! All around, amazing experience! Thanks so much, Bucks!

Food: This is not a Michelin star eatery but for a traditional American spot, food was surprisingly top notch. Experience was great. Cactus Margarita - 4/5 - Nice flavor, although more sweet than spicy. Brim is crusted with salt and spice which did the trick. Cobb Salad - 5/5 - Great size, fresh grilled chicken, and generous amount of bacon and blue cheese. Garlic Bread - 3/5 - Toasted well, nice flavor, melted cheese sprinkles. I am a garlic fiend and thought it could've had real garlic on top, as it just seemed to have garlic butter. Nachos - 5/5 - Prepared with most chips having a copious amount of toppings. Not "authentic" but was super fresh from the home-made chips to the sliced avocados. French Onion Soup - 5/5 - They provide the definition of this. So much cheese, with the staple flavor there. Rye bread inside with sautéed onions galor. Cheeseburger - 5/5 - Star of the night for me. Fresh, cheesy, and overall as flavorful as can be. Better than In-N-Out. The juice meet paired well with the soft brioche and crunchy lettuce. Will be hard not to order this again. Fries - 4/5 - Plentiful and addicting with taste and crunch. A few tasted overcooked although nothing ketchup can't fix. Baby Back Ribs - 3/5 - Nice presentation and flavor was there. Did not fall off the bone but it did the job. Fried Chicken Sandwich - 2/5 - Chicken patty seemed small amidst the brioche bun and coleslaw. Flavor was there but just a tad dry. Did not own up to the other dished. Mac & Cheese - 3/5 - Really creamy with a taste of sharp cheese. Served with breadcrumbs and a carrot on top. Too creamy for my liking but flavor was addicting. Service: Friendly, fast, attentive. Did not seem to be bothered when waved down for more water, napkins, etc. Ambiance: Quirky. Decoration appears random but playful. At first glance it appeared a hoarder's paradise, but after roaming around it actually contains whimsical to extremely valuable collectables. Something to explore for adults and children alike.

Food: Fried chicken sandwich had a lovely crisp to the fry and the chicken fit around the entire brioche bun. Slaw was a bit cilantro heavy but gave a nice cabbage crunch. Double smash burger is always a crowd favorite and a must have at Bucks. Fries come with both - good thicker fry with a variety of soft and crunch (but still tender) Vibe: outdoor seating has umbrellas and heaters. Inside is a museum (of sorts). Has a bar. Service: decent. Servers are nice, don't come around often which allows you to enjoy yourself. You do have to ask for more water and ask for the check.

I think Yelp reviews are probably more accurate than Google reviews. I should've listened! I'm not sure how to provide constructive feedback here, but the food wasn't great. The chicken sandwich was quite plain, and the enchiladas reminded me of a microwaveable frozen dinner. I also had a difficult stomach upset afterward. On a positive note, the service was nice, and the decor was interesting--it reminded me of an old quirky antique shop. Overall, I come to a restaurant to eat, so naturally, my review is primarily based on the quality of the food served.

After a long hike, it was nice to enjoy a relaxing place with a cool atmosphere. The place itself is decorated with so many different things from way back when to present and it's something you have to see. The service was great as we were seated promptly and served wonderfully. My hiking partner and I usually split a meal and we split an albacore tuna melt with fries and a salad. Very filling even at half. We both enjoyed a margarita and a drink called a garden party. Very tasty. I miss their peach cobbler. Also, my understanding is that when kids come, they do a scavenger hunt to find certain things on the wall and on the shelves and I believe they get a price. I have only good things to say about this place! Go there! You'll love it.

Classic lunch/brunch joint with hella Cali history. The food hits nicely on all of your expectations. The service is adequate. If you go take a little time when you walk around the dinging room to take in the cool stuff hanging from the celing and walls; the place is basically a boutique museum with good food.

Went here after a hike in Crystal Springs. The inside decor is quite cute but we decided to go with outdoor seating since it was a nice day outside. Not sure if the service inside, but outside service was not that great. It was hard to get a waiter out to take our orders and every time we did need something it was a different waiter every time. As for the food, I enjoyed the ribs and the mac n cheese we got as an appetizer. However, didn't particularly like the pizza and would not recommend.

I ordered the salmon teriyaki bowl.. it was cooked exquisitely perfect !!! Usually many restaurants overcook and makes for disgusting experience I usually share with my wife... but enjoyed it mostly for myself. The server was very accommodating and attentive to boot We ordered a wonderful chocolate malt shake to top off our extraordinary lunch Lovely !!!

A vaulted hang out in woodside for investors, founders, entrepreneurs and average Joe's. Why? Because they have some of the best food around. Love the double smash burger. Warm soft bun, lots of cheese, lettuce, onions, hmmm good Service is fantastic and unpretentious. They treat all the sane. Billionaires and ordinary folks like me.

This review is based off what I ordered Food is expensive I tried the margherita pizza and it was mid .. kinda tasted like a frozen pizza you bake at home . Service was good but just drive up the road and go to Alice's restaurant a lot better in my opinion

My husband and I have been here twice now and both times were a let down. The food was not good and the service was very rude. My husband has mobility issues and they told us they couldn't seat us at a table due to reservations. The place was empty!! The server we had knew nothing about the history of the place and told us to just read the menu. She also never checked in on us during our meal. The food tasted frozen and old. It was just a really poor experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone
