Museum will be open to the public from June 27, 2022 until August 14, 2022. Opening hours: 12:00 - 16:00. Booking in advance for a tour guide on site. I had arrived at the site on May 23rd, and realized that it's closed but had the chance of exploring the area by my self as seen in the attached photos. Very interesting and remarkable site. Ergan fortress was constructed by German engineers and was a strong hold by Vermacht soldiers during the occupation of Norway in WWII.

When you are in Bud visit Ergan kystfort. Perfect restaurated. In good condition. Visit the Ergan kystfort during opening hours so that you can enter the bunker museum.

Bud Coastal Museum contains the Ergan Coastal fort - a German built WW2 coastal fort, which today is a war memorial museum, and the Coastal Culture Centre, which is an exhibition about the cultural history, marine biology and maritime archaeology from Bud and the region. German coastal fort built during the war years of 1940-45, today restored as a war memorial museum. Exhibitions of local and regional events from World War II . Ergan also has exceptional views over the fishing village of Bud and the waters of Hustadvika. During World War II large parts of the Norwegian coast was occupied, and Bud was one of these olcal communities under siege from 1940-1945. Along the stretch Bud-Kristiansund there are several historical war memorials marked with information boards

Closed today, no explanation. Our cruise tour should have known. Was a waste of time. Not really the museums fault.

Nice little museum with local history from the area. Fascinating underground constructions from World War 2. Beautiful area, especially if you get to see the sunset.
