Staff was very welcoming and kind. Pasta is slightly watery but the rest of the food (Taco salad, onion rings, fried green beans, meat salad) was exceptional tasty! Multiple with good sports with a pool table and cool customers.

Was in La Grand on an adventure and decided to check this place out, went with the rib eye steak, mashed potatoes and gravy along with a bowl of clam Chowder.. the clam Chowder is homemade with lots of bacon and bacon grease and it only took two bites to tell that I didn't want any more. The steak was good but had way to much seasoning on it and thats all I could taste and still tasting it 3 hours later.. '' liquid smoke I believe and I'm allergic to it" the mashed potatoes were good but again over seasoned.. the service was really good however and the young lady was really saddened over the rejection of the clam Chowder because she loves it..

I don't know who they got cooking down there but they need to fire that person!!! All I ever do is get prime rib on Friday night medium rare to go. It's not that hard!!! Last two times we've ordered prime rib was not medium rare you guys hockey pucked it!! After a tip that's pretty close to 50 bucks. Won't be spending any money at this place anymore.

Without a doubt the worst Philly I’ve ever had, just bell peppers on a gross wet bun. And it took an hour to get it, after the rest of the table had their food for 10 minutes…. Fries are soggy and literally swimming in oil on your plate. All around the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had.

Had the Philly Cheese. Amazing! Others in the group got burgers & sandwiches. Loaded with fries which was great to see. Highly recommend!

Friendly excellent service with very good food!!! Dill pickle sticks,, onion rings, Apple pecan salad with grilled chicken, and the Rocket hamburger!!!

Dropped by after hiking in Eagle Cap Wilderness for 5 days. A fellow hiker recommended this place and I'm SO glad they did. The food was amazingly delicious and the staff were kind and patient with us. Will come back next time we're hiking in the area for sure!

Classic American pub grub with plenty of seating, great servers, and lottery if you need it. Their club sandwich is an absolute classic and loaded with perfectly crispy bacon, just the way it should be. Good selection of traditional beers along with local micros.

Great service and food! Our server was very helpful in choosing from an unfamiliar menu. Helped with finding options that could work for me, a Vegan! The ambiance could use a little bit of attention.

Read the glowing reviews for this long time local favorite and decided to visit. Lots of locals there in groups as well as couples. I think there are favorites that people get so they know what they want. I got the homemade Prime Rib Dip sandwich which was really nothing special. Had the choice of a baked potato but didn't realize it was an additional $5 charge. The potato was pretty good! I wouldn't order the sandwich again though. Staff was friendly and for the most part kept drinks filled.

They advertise pet friendly outdoor seating but the waitstaff told us that they don't have it open and that we should go try Side A. We had come from Side A because they had great reviews but they had an hour wait for a table. We left La Grande hungry and disappointed.

Still somewhat new to the area and finally came here for dinner. The prime rib was delicious and completely worth it. We will need to come back on different nights to try other specials as they all look good too.

Recommended by the hotel staff, Bud Jackson's Eatery lived up to expectations. The steak bites were grilled to perfection and were tender. The Cobb Salad was hearty and would have been top notch if romaine or mixed greens instead of iceberg lettuce was used. Efficient and friendly service. Enjoy!

Really liked my meal. I had the steak bite dinner and the vegetables were perfectly grilled and the salad was really fresh too. Wife had a BLT with a cup of chowder and was full after the soup which was really tasty. The sandwich was loaded with bacon on sourdough. Sure it will be good later. We both took to go boxes.

We loved Bud Jackson's. Ate lunch there. Good food, amazing hand cut fries and great prices. Love all the screens for sports and it's big in there. Only downfall was we heard they were extremely slow to get food out. We did find that to be the case. So if you're in a hurry this may not be the place for you. We liked it and we'll be back!

The service was top notch, however my chicken Alfredo was terrible . It was like they made me heavy cream with some light cheese on top , no flavor at all. My wife's burger wasn't bad. It was nothing special We won't be back.

Love the atmosphere, service and food. I also appreciated the hours being 11am-2am everyday, great for those traveling through and local hotel suggested them immediately. They had lots of tv's for sports goers, pool tables, dart boards, full bars (large margaritas), dance floor, and tons of tables. All around, highly suggest!

Food was great. The French onion soup was really good and the King club we split was awesome. Red bees to start and a really sweet waitress. Will go again as it's a great stop between Hayden and Boise .

Always a good time at Buds. One of 3 places in La grande that have pool tables. They have 2 pool tables operated by quarters only. They also have darts. They have a good selection of drinks, and the food is delicious. The bar food is always good when you're drinking. But it's also a great spot to have dinner. The regular bar tenders are amazing and always attentive. They used to have karaoke nights on Thursdays if there's enough people there. The dj is great at playing songs you request.

Best steaks on tap in town if you want to treat yourself instead of cooking at home. Don't get me started about the fry sauce!

Food was great our server Levi she was wonderful very attentive and mindful she did a wonderful job with my daughter even though my daughter is shy and hardly likes to talk to new people

The food was great. Service was pretty good too. I would definitely go back. I had this huge burger and fries and it was like $16.

I eat here many times throughout the year on hunting trips. The food is always excellent with very fair prices. Staff is always friendly and eager to assist. Not too loud, not too quiet. I have recommended Bud Jackson's to many folks!

One of my worse experiences ever. It took over 45 minutes to place our order and she forgot what i ordered. When the food finally arrived the fries were cold and soggy. The steak bites were dry and flavorless. Thanks for ketchup I was able to eat most of it. The steak bites were on a special and they charged me full price. I was going to argue but I was ready to leave!! I won't be back. I was to mention I was a veteran because it was on the reader board but again, I was ready to leave.

Absolutely delicious food. Found this place on Yelp in our travels from Portland to Nampa ID and what a gem! We had sirloin tip baskets with salad and a side of onion rings to share. The sirloin was tender and absolutely delicious. Salad and onion rings were great also. We will be back when traveling this way!

Great spot for food and drinks. It's one of the best lunch options in town. The southwest salad is amazing. You can't go wrong with anything you order at Buds.

Great place to eat in La Grande. Hometown feel. Great wait staff and large portions. Been there each time we pass through.

Nice clean establishment. Staff was super nice. Warm smiles from the moment I walked in. Had the steak bites with waffle fries. Plentful and great taste. You can definitely tell it was a sport bar for the locals but didn't feel out of place at all. High in the 80s but they are keeping it dark with fans all over the place. Would highly recommend.

Came across this local spot while doing our 34 reset at the truck stop. Truck stop let us drop the trailer so we came here to eat. Wow what a spot to find!! Service, food and atmosphere was awesome!! We enjoyed it so much our next load brought us back their way so we stopped for dinner again! Again service and food awesome!!

We stopped in for lunch and were impressed with the burger selection in particular.i had the Bleu Moon Burger, which was very tasty and well-presented.. The black coffee was hot, freshly made and flavorful. The fries were good but not spectacular. Or server was prompt and courteous. This was a dining experience worth repeating..

Surprising dog-friendly sports pub with great beer , food and staff. We were planning to lunch at Side A brewery, but they didn't open until 4pm on Tuesday. Stumbled on Bud Jackson's searching for dog-friendly places. Shaded patio was much appreciated on this 100-deg afternoon. I had the Reuben and wife had the Rocket burger. Both were excellent. Highly recommend!

Pretty darn good. You won't leave hungry for sure. I had the finger steak basket and the wife had the market salad.

Honestly, this bar has went down hill. Not having the proper drink mixes. Bartender not knowing how to make drinks correctly. We ordered chicken strips and tots and got food poisoning after we got home. Pool table was fun but honestly the food needs to be checked with a thermometer before it's served. It's not a horrible place but they need some upgrades.

The food was delicious, great portion size and not outrageously expensive. We will be back for sure! The steak bites were cooked perfectly with really good flavor.

In town late. Only place open we could find. Large menu. Good service. Lots of like minded folks in restaurant section. Loud but fun. Not gourmet, but tasty fare! Near hotel, so what's not to like!

The soup of the day 7/5/2022 tasted "fishy "! Weird for chicken rice soup. When I said something to waitress nothing else offered. Service overall was poor and minimal. They would rather stand at the bar visiting amongst themselves than wait on customers. Also I believe in Oregon it's illegal for the servers/bar staff to drink behind the bar. Hope OLLC doesn't do a inspection! Also I ordered a full rack of ribs. Don't ever want those again!!! So overcooked and bad! Couldn't even chew them. Had to spit them out. Had to ask for more napkins. Sad just sad

By far the best place to eat in La Grande in terms of quality and food value. Only complaint is the pints are a little spendy.

Surprisingly good food in La Grande. Begrudgingly got stuck in LG after I-84 closed and searched for any trace of decent food town, until we stumbled upon this place. Atmosphere is great, very clean sports pub. Service was insanely friendly and attentive. Food was really good, too! Veggie burger was delicious and so were the Buffalo chips.

Stopped by while in town. The food here is great. The staff is really friendly. Meat has a wonderful Smokey flavor thé the prime rib and burgers.

I wish I could give this place more stars! We were passing through from Portland to Northern Utah. The friendliest staff, practicing social distancing, and the BEST fries I have ever had in my LIFE. Wish I lived closer. I'd be a regular!

Great place in a smaller town. Prime rib Friday is legit won't find much better anywhere close.

I am addicted to the fries here! I order take out here whenever I am in town. I recommend the Blue Moon burger with grilled mushrooms, onions and blue cheese crumbles. It is fantastic!

Was traveling through town and found Bud Jackson's, walked in and was greeted very nicely, service was great and food was even better. Throughly enjoyed my lunch

Sorry to say. That it was not what we expected. There drinks are very weak and there prime rib was typical bar food veggies over cooked salad that came with the meal was poorly presented and there blue cheese dressing was terrible. Hope they up there game.

Good burgers and dinners. Only has Pepsi, though. Waitresses are very friendly and the prices are reasonable.

We were traveling thru to ID to pick up a puppy a couple days after Christmas & everywhere was closed in La Grande! We showed up here right after opening at 11am...and we were glad we fell upon it! And allowed kids in the restaurant side. Our server was super sweet and helpful- Great food. Decent beer selection. Would go back for the King Kong Club & a pint of the Barley Browns IPA!! Stop in if you're in La Grande.

Just wow! I stopped in as it seemed to be the only place open. I sat at the bar, waiting for my food, as i watched the bartender take a salad from the window, and on her way to deliver it, picked a crouton up with her fingers and ate it..... the gal who ordered it did not notice. Wow! My food was alright. Fish tacos.

Great staff and good food! We were out of towner and sent to this place by a local. We were really pleased with the meal and atmosphere.

We end up eating here because all the Restaurant we called were all closed on Sunday. I am not really sure about eating dinner in a Bar though I told my husband I dont think they can go wrong if we order Prawn and Chips coz it's just fried. The menu said its Tiger Prawn and Country Style Fries. When the food came it was not prawn but just a regular battered butterfly shrimp. It was good actually atleast their fry sauc e is home made and so as the fries was hand cut. Hubby had a Mushroom Burger with Tator Tots, he said it's good too. We were stuffed.... not too bad fro what we paid. We weill probably come back when we're in town again.

Waste of money on food that's less than average. The lettuce in both salads was so wet they weren't even edible, neither of us finished our steaks. $5 uncharged to get toppings on a baked potato which is listed no where on the menu. Our server acted like we were inconveniencing him and we never had his full attention even though the place wasn't busy. Food came out quick.

The only place for a beer snob in La Grande. Great beer selection, wide variety of specials and try to keep things fun for the younger crowd. Burger there was well above average, and it's by far the best place to watch a game in Northeast Oregon

Great local sports bar with good food, lots of local PNW beers on tap and a plethora of TVs for your entertainment. Hub ordered a club house sandwich with batter fried green beans. Both were delicious. I had the SW chicken salad, and it was very good, with an excellent Chipotle mayo dressing on the side. Service was excellent; our waitress was friendly and didn't act at all hurried although they were quite busy. Our order came quickly, but we weren't under any pressure to move on. La Grade doesn't have too many choices, but this is a good one!
