Such a magnificent place to visit! It gives you a beautiful panoramic view and its architecture and ornaments are totally worthy of your attention and time. I will for sure revisit this place on my next trip to Budapest. You can find a few machines to collect souvenir coins of the castle and of course you should try to get up there by the funicular. It will give an essence of a different epoque to your visit.

The Castle Building is a world-class beauty, and you can't miss it when you're in Budapest. Located next to the Fisherman's Bastion, it's a 100% must-visit spot. The building is huge, and we stumbled upon a garden party with food, drinks, music, and stunning river views. Take your time to explore the area, as the views from this spot truly capture the essence of Budapest. It's a breathtaking experience you won't want to miss!

Buda Castle is one of the most captivating places I’ve ever visited. Standing proudly on the hills of Buda, it offers breathtaking views of the Danube and the entire city of Budapest. The architecture is grand yet peaceful, and walking through its open courtyards and along the castle walls feels like stepping back in time. To reach the castle, I took the Budavári Sikló, the historical funicular elevator that connects the riverbank to the top of the hill. It’s a short ride, but full of charm. The wooden cabins and the slow climb make it a unique and memorable experience, especially for first-time visitors. Once you arrive at the top, you’re greeted not only by the beauty of the castle itself but also by the stunning views of Pest on the other side. Whether you visit during the day or in the evening when the lights glow over the city, it’s an unforgettable scene. I would highly recommend Buda Castle and the funicular to anyone visiting Budapest. It’s a perfect mix of history, beauty, and magic.

So interesting! Very informative posters everywhere showing the damage after WW2 and how it's being restored. The statues are amazing. A few good cafes. Lots of lovely clean toilets. The funicular up the hill is well worth doing. The views of Budapest from the top are stunning!

Well worth the visit. The views are great from the top and good to walk around outside. The museum is informative and interesting. The funicular is overpriced but always a fun start to the experience.
