Arrived very late in the evening but received a warm welcome for our 4 night stay. Our room (108) was very spacious and quiet with all the expected amenities including a large bathroom. Breakfast was wholesome and an ideal start to the day. A delightful hotel with the most helpful of staff but the main benefit is its location in the Buda Castle District yet only a short Nr 16 bus ride to the Pest side. All ideal for exploring the City. Also after a long day sightseeing it was wonderful to enjoy a drink in the shaded garden.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and service is excellent! However despite the 4-star rating of the hotel, there is no restaurant, which is very strange. There is only breakfast (which is very good), and you can get a drink at the bar or maybe some fruit as a snack. Location is quiet and very close to the castle. Also, the hotel advertises air conditioning, but there is NO air conditioning. There is only whatever passes for fake air conditioning (like in most of Europe), which is probably centrally controlled. I tried to turn on the a/c, and when I came back to the room it was like a sauna! Unpleasant. You can only open the windows to cool off at night, and then you're at the mercy of people running their mouths and smoking right under your window. I wonder how many people know you could hear their "private" conversations perfectly? Nice hotel but only for the cold weather months. For hot springs and summers, you will have to find a different location with real a/c.

A really great hotel in Budapest's old town on Buda side of the river. Great spacious rooms, close to Buda Castle and historical places but .... The hotel gives you a very cold, almost dead like vibe. The bar extremely small and always empty so none of the guests visits it. Breakfast is tasty, but selection is small and very small portions are being placed for the guests to share. This creates a bad situations, when you want to eat something, but you have to wait 20 min for the service to bring it from the kitchen.

Lovely Hotel with excellent staff. The reception team were always on hand to help. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of hot and cold food. The staff were very attentive and it was nice to sit outside in the garden. The location couldn't have been better in the middle of the Cadtle district with very good transport over to Pest. Excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful city!!!!

My wife and I went for a city break in Budapest and stayed at the Buda Castle hotel for 3 nights. The (superior) room was excellent, very large bathroom, the staff were very polite and helpful and the breakfast was very good (I won't say great though). Reception was open all 24 hours - friendly guys at the reception.||The location of the hotel was brilliant - in a quiet area of Buda, the hotel wasn't much to look at from the outside- even a bit to difficult to spot it - but once you go inside it was very nice. And excellent value for money - something really important in an expensive capital city like any other in Europe. There were many restaurants nearby. I would fully recommend this hotel for your stay in Budapest.||Just a few tips: |1. Budapest is basically divided by the river Danube into Buda and Pest.|Buda is the hilly area of the castles, Pest is the more city area. I thought it was better to stay in Buda and go down into Pest for city sight seeing. In Buda area, you have the Buda castle (not really a castle anymore - that was destroyed) where you find the National History Museum, the National Gallery and the Presidential Palace. There is also the impressive Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion nearby.|2. Always book your taxi on line - especially to and from the airport - or book the Bolt taxi (No Uber in Budapest). If you catch a taxi from the street, the driver will probably "take you for a ride".|3. Take the river cruise in the evening when the city is well lit - beautiful views.|4. The Euro and Forint are both accepted in most places but you are probably better off trading in Forints.||We really had a good time in Budapest.

Excellent hotel and staff! The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We arrived hours early but this wasn't a problem and they had the rooms ready to go and didn't hesitate to give us our keys right away. The rooms are huge, and have a separate living room area with a big TV, and the bedroom having its own area. Separate toilet and shower rooms. Nice amenities in the room and kitchen area. 24 hour refreshments from the drink machines. Excellent breakfast!! Very cool touches of the old castle brickwork showing through the newer drywall. The location is incredible! Literally a 5 minute slow walk right to the Buda castle where all of the tourists go to take pictures of it and of the Pest side on the other side of the Duna (Danube) River. Great variety of restaurants in immediate walking distance. Alleyways right near the hotel to go west and down the staircases into the Buda side of the city. Incredible views regardless of which direction you walk. Bring a camera! And to reiterate, the staff was so friendly that it was a pleasure to interact with them regardless of which shift was working. Very helpful in giving advice, ordering taxies, etc. Great hotel!!

The Hotel is located with a 4 minute walk of the tourist attractions in Buda. It's a typical old building meticulously maintained and very well kept. The room was spacious, very comfortable bed, coffe maker, small fridge, the shower was great and the bathroom too. Service was professional and friendly and overall I had a great stay. I must point out that the breakfast was absolutely superb with every option imaginable. For the price and location, I could not have asked for more.

I would have given the hotel 5 stars as the staff were lovely, very courteous and helpful, and the position of the hotel is perfect. However, I booked the hotel as it has air conditioning, or so it said on their website. (I would never book a hotel without air conditioning). The weather was beautiful for the three days we were there, about 25/26 degrees and 14 degrees at night. But the air conditioning hadn’t been turned on as we were told it was meant to be getting cooler the following week! I have a lung condition and need a cool bedroom to sleep in and so I was unable to get a good night’s sleep the whole time we were there. This kind of spoilt the holiday for me.
