Budapest Jazz Club

A very nice place if you’re looking for something different from a regular bar. They offer a great variety of high-quality drinks, which you can enjoy during the show. The atmosphere is cozy, great for an alternative jazz show. I highly recommend it!

Discovered this unique jazz club while out Geocaching in Budapest today. Unfortunately, we arrived at the club just after it opened, and it was too early in the afternoon for any band to play. However, we did get a chance to speak for a moment with one of the bartenders named Zsolt, who was an absolute pleasure to meet and converse with about the jazz club. We did enjoy our visit and wished we had the time to come back that night. We loved how they decorated the interior of the club, which consists of several sitting areas, one in front and the other towards the back of the club. They even have a shuffleboard table in the front near the bar and a grand piano bar in the back. So, if you like jazz and are in town for a visit, this might be the right place for you. Thanks again, Zsolt, for making our short visit so enjoyable.

Budapest is an amazing place for jazz and this is it’s cathedral, even though it is actually the size of a chapel and that just adds to the intimacy of the shows. There is a nice bar at the front where you can enjoy a beer, cocktail or wine before the show and where, most of the nights, you can meet the musicians after. If you are a jazz fan, or not, do yourself a favour and go to this place when you are in town.

Budapest Jazz Club is a really decent venue, perhaps unexpectedly slick and white colar. First i liked the fact that the restaurant and the concert hall are separated , unlike i.e. most of the leading New York clubs. So people are actually either eating (as I did at first) or listening to jazz music (I did that too). I found both experiences equally satisfying, obviously in each own way. My grilled pheasant breast came perfectly cooked with nice sides and garnishes. The small band at the concert hall did their job too. We will return.

Great music, different artists play every night. Tickets range from 3k - 5k. Large variety of drinks - spirits, cocktails and wines - and good prices.

Atmosphere is great, nice interior. They have lots of drinks and a possibility to play game on the table at the entrance. Very small variety of food and snacks, though. Also, the queues at the bar stand are pretty long and there is no table service.

A nice place, been here a couple times, had a pleasant evening. Concerts are worth attending, both times bands did not disappoint, atmospheric and skilful. The only minor inconvenience are the chairs, highly uncomfortable to sit on especially for whole two hours. A good variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, can recommend apple-mint soda. The house burger was one of the best i've had.
