Budda Cafe

Location of this restaurant is great sitting on the lagoon. We went in for drinks as we had been recommended to visit here. The staff serving were super nice and very polite, however the same can’t be said for the woman sitting at the till who apparently is a sort of manager but appears to think she owns this place. She was rude and very dismissive, can see how a lot of the previous negative comments have been about this person mostly but nothing being done about her which will have a negative impact on people recommending this place. I have told others to avoid because of her

Nice place to enjoy the sunset. Also pretty good pasta with shrimps and cocktails. The service was very good!

We went to this restaurant based on many good reviews and personal recommendations, and we felt very comfortable from the very first minute. The staff were well-trained and attentive, the atmosphere right on the water was very nice and the prices for food and drinks were absolutely reasonable and top-quality. We would gladly return and would happily recommend this restaurant.

Ate here 3 times. A nice italian open to air restaurant by the river. -Menu is outside door -Seats by river or table dinning or cushion couches. -Service is fast and friendly. -1st order was a hamburger and fries, hamburger with no cheese, and it was very very good. Fries were good and tasted a bit like olive oil. -2nd was a peperoni pizza, and i asked to get hot peppers added or substituted for the onions, and the waitress said ok, but it came as normal peperoni pizza. -3rd order was just plain spaghetti and tomato sauce take out to eat at hotel. -You pay and get check at the counter when you exit, not at table. -Prices are a little higher here then some other restaurants in town Overall a good restaurant, good food and service *Like this review below if the info helps*

Staff is the best! They are very welcoming and great and attentive with kids. It's a very clean and modern place with a great (mostly Western) menu. Service was quick and the food was very nice. Would recommend anyone visiting Tortuguero!

Probably the best restaurant in town. During our stay we came here 3x and had great experiences every time. Cool view to the lake and to the sunset, great strong cocktails and delicious food. The waiter guy is extremely nice.

The cafe is nice, definitely could do with some fans but the atmosphere is really relaxing. Our server was lovely. We were having a great time until we went to pay and the woman behind the till was horrible, so rude. She lied to my friend about not having change for her colones note. (I saw into the till after she paid), quibbled over 20 cent, didn't even look us in the eye or apologise for not having any change. Of course, if you pay by card they charge you an extra 13%. Completely ruined our buzz.
