I wish I could give less than half a star.
We had a really disappointing experience at this place. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like we were unwelcome. The host — who seemed to be the owner or manager — was shockingly rude. Despite the restaurant being 80% empty, she denied us a table. We politely asked for takeout instead, and while we waited for our food, she told us not to sit at any table and to either stand or go outside. Seriously? We weren’t begging — we were paying customers, and we were respectful throughout.
What made it worse was that other people were still coming in and being seated just fine. It was very clear that she had some sort of issue with us, and she didn’t even try to hide it. Her attitude made us feel small and unwelcome — like we were asking her for a favor, not buying a meal.
We will never go back. A place where guests are treated like a burden has no business calling itself “Buddha Cafe.” Honestly, they should rename it to “Bad Cafe.”
