"This five-star concept hotel—the Czech outpost of the trendy French franchise—delivers on its promise of Asian-inspired luxury while artfully avoiding the tackiness that can sometimes creep into a theme hotel. The Parisian-based brand is known for its high urban-hip quotient, and this property is no exception: With its dim lighting and signature red-and-gold color scheme, the vibe is opium den–chic; events include live DJ nights and burlesque shows in the restaurant/lounge, and rooms come stocked with a music library curated by Buddha-Bar. All of the 38 rooms and suites feature a stand-alone tub embellished with adragon mosaic and separate shower, lacquered furnishings, and high-tech gizmos like TV screens embedded in the bathroom mirrors, remote-controlled curtains, and VoIP phones. And the centrally located address (in a renovated historic residence in the heart of the Old Town) is just a quick walk to the Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square, and the Old Town Square and in a neighborhood crowded with restaurants, bars, and shopping."

We stayed at this hotel during the Christmas holidays. The location is absolutely perfect, the welcoming staff was very kind and welcoming. The rooms are really nice and well equipped ( big bathtub, connected TV, big wardrobe). ||The bed and bedding were really comfortable, we slept and rested really well. The room is also big and comfortable to stay in.||The only downside was the house keeping. We put the « Do not disturb » sign on the door on the first day and yet the cleaning staff knocked and open the door twice on the first morning. The coffee capsules were never refilled and the coffee cups were left unwashed and on the table every day, we had to get our coffee from the bar downstairs. The night stand table were never cleaned either, leaving a layer of dust on it.||Apart from the house keeping quality, it is a fantastic hotel to stay in.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this hotel. The room temperature was unbearably high, and despite my attempts to adjust the thermostat, I couldn’t get it to a comfortable level. I hardly slept the entire night because of it. To make matters worse, the staff were incredibly unhelpful. When I mentioned the issue with the room temperature, they didn’t seem to care and barely acknowledged my concerns. The hotel itself is far smaller than I expected, and there’s no real lobby to speak of. The photos made the place look much more inviting than it actually is. One of the most frustrating aspects was the bathroom. In the pictures, there was a nice shower, but we were stuck with a bathtub that made it extremely difficult to take a proper shower. I can only say the location was great. I won’t be returning to this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. There are plenty of better options out there.

I'm conflicted and would struggle to call this 5*, good 4* yes but of course this was not reflected in the price. The reception is not 5* but room was beautiful and comfortable. Slippers, bathrobe, toiletries were nice. Bath was stunning, unfortunately I was sick for 3 of the 5 night stay so spent the majority of time in the room in bed and did not use the bath, which was a shame as it was very inviting.||Housekeeping wasn't great, we stayed 5 nights and we had completely run out of toilet roll, we had to ask for more when completely run out (which is embarrassing) and even then it took until the next day/late afternoon (in the mean time we had to pinch one from a trolley that we found) on one of the days, at approx. 3-4pm housekeeping came in, I was having an afternoon nap (being unwell and taking sleepy medication), normally you would expect a return visit an hour or two later but never returned. Another day, they took some of the used towels, but did not replace them. ||On arrival the receptionist was lovely, gave us a welcome drink and let us into the room early (as we had travelled through the night, arrived at approx. 11am and was exhausted) the porter rushed to get the bags from the taxi, showed us around the room, etc. so that was nice but on exit, no attention, take the bags yourself attitude which was surprising given the attentiveness on arrival. ||Room has ceiling speakers from the TV, push button curtains, generally high end within the actual room.||What did bother me was when I went to book a couple of their trips from leaflets that they gave us at the reception on arrival and was told that I would have to pay an additional 10% - what a cheek, never have I experienced this. I refused and asked them to help me book and I would pay the venue directly. Certainly not the behaviour of a 5* hotel.||Breakfast was hit and miss, every day we ordered food, myself from the paid additions and only once did they get it right - on the first breakfast, it was so simple, no chilli oil but they just kept getting it wrong - either you get a completely plain dragon eggs or chilli oil or plain butter rather than garlic and brown butter. Meat in the scrambled eggs even though we requested no meat, etc. no apologies or words for that matter, just whipped it away, bring back another version, which again was wrong but we couldn't be bothered to say anything at this point. Ask for sweetener, but every day, you have to ask several times. The only nice breakfast staff member was a gentleman on one of the days. ||It was supposed to be a special trip for our 25th anniversary, when booking with British Airways, they requested a free upgrade if possible, I also again emailed the hotel directly, with the same request, now I am not saying that they have any obligation to do this but a reply would have been nice, i.e. sorry we are fully booked but we can provide xyz to the room (to make it special) for an additional cost. NO they completely ignore the email altogether which is simply rude.||For the cost and issues mentioned above, I would have to really think twice before returning, which is a real shame given the room was lovely and location was great.||Buddha-Bar, just to say, the little things make all of the difference.

I normally stay in big corporate hotel chains (I'm top-tier elite with the 4 big ones...), but tried this since I could book through an airline portal and earn toward requalifying for status there. Very glad I did, because this is now my favorite place to stay in Prague, one of my favorite cities.||Kind of an odd concept for a hotel -- the famous Asia-themed Buddha Bar (which I mostly know from the Middle East), opening a hotel, but it works really well. Asia theme, but it's really "orientalist Asian luxury", which works great. Rooms are beautiful, service is excellent, and furnishings are great. One thing I really appreciated were the double windows -- with both sets of windows closed, there was no traffic noise from outside at all (and it's also on a side street without a huge amount of traffic).||Great breakfast (until 1pm!), and the bar itself and restaurant (which I didn't visit on this trip -- next time).

Shortly after check in we met Robbie who not just take luggage’s, tell you all about your room 37 or suite 22 so you can make most of your stay and fill your jacuzzi correctly while okaying music during bath time, he make all the reservations happen despite taking ages to listen to all special requests and wishes and making multiple bookings they make me feel like queen that I am the only customer that matter in the whole world even when super busy. the Eqypt prince and king of Guest relations during any of your Prague stay. He knows everything, everyone and what’s happening where!!! Most incredible human - if he is a human - (who is here incredible many years and its shocking and should be reviewed by all directors and both owners why his badge does not say IN-HOUSE GUEST SATISFACTION MANAGER) - I have never ever met someone so attentive, superb and with smile the second we walk thru the door. He remembers customers and conversations with them and go above and beyond!!! If I need next GM for my hotels I have in London I would love to steal him or to find someone so rare and incredible like it. One of the best stays we ever had. We had a lovely stay! Our room was comfy, clean and we had service every day. The receptionist team was very friendly and professional especially Ondra and night lovely lady with glasses. The breakfast and service was nice and fast with super delicious options. I would highly recommend this hotel but only if the team stop changing so much as the ones there are truhly incredible and credit to company. Thank you for everything! We can’t wait to be back!!! You make just “another hotel in the world” to be extremely special. I am absolutely lost for words how incredible this place is But it use to be the one you can’t get into… its only the team who makes it still “alive “ hope that you guys are treated with diamonds like royalty or most of us would never come back. Its more beds in Prague more comfy than incredible staff… all the best and Merry Christmas😘

What a place! Perfection everything! The room was amazing! Gorgeous, super comfortable bed, amazing bathtub and shower. Best drink I ever had was in the bar and the server there was so delightful! Gyoza was average but the Maki roll was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Bar and restaurant are gorgeous. Amazing vibe! Breakfast was also just so yummy and so much to choose from! Michaela at reception was beyond kind, warm and helpful! I felt like we had a rough time in Prague with a lot of grumpy service and she was a breath of fresh air! Also Rubiere (I'm sure I got his name wrong). Helped me get a car to the airport and waited with me for him to show up. Not that far at all from Old town square. Of all two weeks in Europe it was one of the highlights of the trip. If I went back, I would stay there again for sure!

This was our first trip to Prague. We surely lucked out in our lodging selection. We could not have asked for a better experience. The staff were amazing as was our room and everything about our stay!

Yelp
Ideal 5 Star Boutique Hotel in Ideal Location of Ideal City. What more can I say about the Buddha Bar Hotel Prague. It's more of a 5 star Ritz Carlton Luxury residence with your own personal staff than a hotel. Everything about this hotel is sleek and sexy, from the tiled floors and Buddha statue in the main lobby to the see through glass elevator, to the uniquely and exquisitely appointed first class rooms. Every creature comfort imaginable has been provided in your room. The beds are super comfortable, the Bang & Olufsen entertainment system is amazing (including Buddha Bar soundtracks), rooms are equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine inside a Chinese lacquer chifforobe, electric blinds, and electric toilet in separate room from main bathroom rain shower, dragon mosaic bathtub with television etched into the bathroom mirror, free wifi, and more. Included in your rate is complimentary hot breakfast and buffet each morning at the chic Siddharta Cafe. The pancakes are out of this world and the Tonio Lamborghini Italian roast coffee and hot chocolate they serve is the finest I have had anywhere in the world. At night, complimentary turn down bed service includes a tray with chocolate truffles and the following day's weather report. In addition, you receive complimentary access to Kotva Fitness--a full service, high end gym located within a 2 minute walk from the hotel at the nearby Kotva Mall. For a fitness fanatic, such as myself, this was highly welcome. The hotel is located in an ideal, quiet corner of the city yet only a few minute walk to Old Town and other popular sites and nearby restaurants and bars. The front desk staff is most accommodating and was more like family--assisting me effortlessly with my non-stop questions and providing outstanding recommendations. I have stayed at numerous luxury property hotels around the world and the Buddha Bar Hotel is easily right up there, if not at the very top. I have stayed here twice and gladly look forward to returning again in the near future. P.S....the hotel frequently offers specials if you stay a minimum 3 nights and/or book an advanced, non-cancelable rate. You can check their website for more details and/or contact the hotel directly. They sometimes--not always--will upgrade your room at no additional cost depending upon occupancy rate. First class hotel all around. Exceptional value for the quality of hotel, service, and amenities you receive !!....felt a little funny staying in an Asian themed hotel in the middle of Eastern Europe at first, but the Zen-like experience will simply WOW you within minutes and serves as an excellent and relaxing, oasis-like contrast.

Yelp
BuddhaBar hotel is a Boutique style hotel, super trendy, extremely comfortable located minutes from the center of Prague. There's also a Buddha Bar inside of this hotel which is one of the best bars in town. The people at the reception were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They guide you through the hotel with a welcome cocktail when you check in and they will always help you with your stay, tours, currency exchange and etc. Great Breakfast, Very clean, spacious room, very comfortable beds, nice design and decor.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel that leaves us wanting nothing, with only one frustration: the window-blinds. First, the good: -Pickup at the train station went without a hitch. -Friendly welcome to the hotel with beautiful chocolates upon check-in. -Very helpful staff. A few of the older ones may come across as reserved at first, perhaps due to language-barrier, but their helpfulness is top-notch, often offering unsolicited help with bags, or offering refreshments when we come in hot from a long walk, even if the bar is "closed". -Super comfortable room with amazing bathroom and bedding and great attention to detail by the housekeeping staff. -Sometimes trendy means "you're on your own" a bit, but not here. -Breakfast is fantastic, with a great multicultural assortment at the buffet, as well as eggs to order, with a great smile from the server to start the day, every day. The frustrating: Window blinds are soooo hard to operate! You open one, and another closes. You try to close that one, and the first one opens! Using wall-switches, rather than remote-controls, worked slightly better but still not intuitive. Let me offer my instructions for operating the window blinds: 1. Go to university 2. Get an engineering degree 3. Then attempt to operate blinds Wifi coverage was a little spotty in some parts of our room. BOTTOM LINE: Great hotel, worth every penny, hope to stay here again.

Yelp
True five star property. From the terrific greeting at the front desk to welcome drinks to gift in room this hotel is top notch. Rooms are extremely comfortable with no modern convenience skips. The employees are world class. Instead of telling you where something is - most times they LEAVE THE HOTEL and personally walk you to the destination. They even had a partnership with a great gym across the street. Can't say enough good things!! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great hotel in one of the best possible locations in Prague. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The only reason I give it a 4 star is a few things: 1) We couldn't get the TV to shut off, it seemed rather complicated for something that should be so easy to do; 2) The lights weren't labeled, making it extremely difficult to turn on and off lights without having to try all of them; 3) The shower, while it looks amazing, it's missing a door (assuming this is to keep the modern look), but drainage was bad causing a wet bathroom. However, those tiny details are far outweighed by the positives. Friendly staff, great recommendations, located perfectly, Nespresso machine, great comfy bed, amazing mood lit room, unique, eclectic, just a fun vibe. I'd recommend to friends traveling. Stayed December 2014, traveled as a couple

Yelp
We stayed at the Buddha-Bar Hotel Prague for 4 nights last week. We were super excited when we found this hotel on Trip Advisor for our upcoming Prague adventure and began watching the rates daily on multiple sites for the best prices. The rates didn't change all that much over the two month period we watched, but we did end up scoring free breakfast when we finally did book on Orbitz. I was a little worried when we pulled up in front of the hotel in our taxi. We typically stay in 5 star hotels when visiting Europe every Fall and they usually are all very similar with their big glass front doors and door men, etc. This hotel has an understated sign and a normal looking wooden door at the top of 2-3 steps...old school, if you will. We gathered our luggage and hauled it up the steps and turned the knob to open the door. Someone quickly ran and grabbed our luggage and our eyes were immediately in overload. The hotel lobby was just as beautiful as we had imagined. We were greeted by two lovely and smiling front desk staff who assisted and got us on our way to our room. We had the basic room (I think it may be called Superior or similar.) and it was gorgeous!!! The Asian theme was not over done and didn't come off as cheesy at all. It felt very luxurious and also very American Horror Story Hotel at the same time. Dark and sexy. There is plenty of room for two people to unload their luggage for a comfortable stay and plenty of room for two people to get ready together in the bathroom. That is not something that is very common in any hotel anywhere. One thing we noticed right away as we showered upon arrival was that the shower is designed very poorly. The water runs out all over the bathroom floor. I'm not sure if the space is too small or the shower head is too big for the space, but something needs to be changed in that regard. We headed down right away to the Siddharta Cafe and found all of the tables to be occupied by some sort of business meeting group. Not a problem for us. We bellied up to the bar and ordered some drinks and a snack. The bartenders were super friendly and efficient and the snack was very tasty. Later that night, we headed down to the Buddha Bar for drinks and dinner. That was an amazing meal with spot on service. I will save all the details for that for my review of that restaurant. By the second night is when we started noticing some hiccups. We went down in the late afternoon and asked the front desk staff how to get to Old Town. We had no idea we were so close to it. The front desk staff looked a little irritated that we would even ask such a question and pointed us in the right way. We brushed it off as us maybe being overly sensitive due to being tired from travel. The third night we came down and asked for recommendations for restaurants. This time, both of the front desk staff looked bored out of their minds staring at their computers and remained seated in their chairs the entire time we spoke with them. They looked irritated at us for even bothering them and didn't seem able or willing to recommend a single restaurant. They sent us in a direction telling us that we would find something that way. Very odd, but again, we tried to brush the encounter off. The final night is when I almost lost my anger when we had to ask the front desk for recommendations for dinner when we discovered the Buddha Bar restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Again, both staff remained seated the entire time and seemed pretty lost about any place to recommend. We left irritated and set out on our own in the rain to find a restaurant. We returned directly after dinner as we were just frustrated with having had to walk in the rain with no real direction and asked the front desk staff about our leaving for the airport early in the morning. I specifically asked them if we should arrange a taxi now, go in search of one in the morning, or call an Uber in the morning. I was told "You can do whatever you like.". I was boiling at this point. Of course I can do whatever I like, but I am asking the hotel staff as they are the experts due to their residency in the country and their employment at that hotel. The next morning was another bizarre ordeal with a taxi and an uber that I won't even go into detail. I will just say that we left the hotel very irritated. With that said, we absolutely loved this hotel and 100% would stay here again if we returned to Prague. We also will recommend this to any of our friends or family visiting to Prague. We just feel that the front desk staff needs to be trained a bit better to be up to par with any other 5 star hotel and that there should always be at least one bar and or restaurant open within the hotel during normal business hours...guests don't always want to leave the hotel to have a night cap or grab a quick meal.

Yelp
Incredible "boutique style" modern hotel with a perfectly situated, central location in Prague. Every detail lends itself to the overall sleek and sexy vibe of the Buddha Bar brand itself. Clean/spacious rooms, friendly staff members and the attached Buddha Bar restaurant makes this a top notch choice when visiting Prague.

Yelp
Great decor and very nice staff. Spring rolls came out a bit cold . Sides of sautéed vegetables were subpar and fried rice had a nice kick . For the price I will stick to NYC for the quality /price .
