Hussain Sagar is a lively and popular spot in Hyderabad, especially for families and evening outings. One of the biggest positives is the ample parking space, which is free and well managed. Around the lake, there are plenty of stalls selling snacks, fruits, drinks, and ice creams, making it easy to enjoy a relaxed time without worrying about food.
The entry fee is ₹20 per person, and additional charges apply for activities. Boat rides to the iconic Buddha Statue are available, and kids under 4 years of age can enjoy the ride for free, which is a nice touch for families. Other attractions include the dancing boat with live performances, speed boat rides, toy shops, sketch artists, photographers, and stalls selling personalized merchandise—overall, there’s a lot to keep visitors engaged.
The Buddha Statue, located at the center of the lake, is truly impressive. It is carved out of a single granite rock, adding to its historical and architectural significance.
However, the major downside is the condition of the lake water. The water appears extremely dirty and emits a bad smell, which significantly affects the overall experience. This is something that authorities should seriously consider addressing through proper cleaning and maintenance.
Overall, Hussain Sagar offers a fun and activity-filled experience with good facilities, but improving water cleanliness would greatly enhance its charm and make it more enjoyable for visitors.
