Buddha Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and until recently I'd only ever been here for breakfast. It's a cosy little spot opposite Princes Square.
For breakfast they do standards with a thai twist - french toast with bacon and tamarind sauce, chicken satay on toast, thai-style omelette, bacon and egg roll with homemade chilli jam... All delicious and a little bit different. And the coffee is excellent.
Lunch and dinner is more standard thai fare. Really delicious food and wonderful coconut rice. The lychee frappe drink is freshly blended and totally worthwhile.
Service is quick and friendly, and the food comes out promptly and piping hot.
It's not a big space, and it's pretty busy on a Saturday night, so it could be a good idea to either get in early or book a table at peak times.
