"For Enlightened Beans" : Buddha's Cup Kona Coffee The best Kona coffee I have ever tasted. EVER! When he pronounced the winner in Gevalia's Cupping Contest in 2010, judge John King said, "We were in 100% agreement that Buddha's Cup is the winner. The trick is keeping the classic Kona mellow, sweet profile. and clearly Buddha's was the truest to that old style, old school Kona profile. " Well done to the ohana of Brewmaster Manny Ochoa and Chris Coleman. Visit all 3 award-winning farms in the area; Imagine, Kona Kulana and Buddha's to see hand selected coffee beans drying in the sun and learn about the multi- step process expertly done by this family to bring you the best coffee EVER! 808-322-6712 for tour info and to order. Their gift shops sell some beautiful tote bags made from coffee sacks and repurposed aloha print fabric. The coffee cups are a favorite of mine."

I rarely write reviews, but I just have to recommend this place! Tucked away in a coffee farm up in the mountains, the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and peaceful, a perfect escape from the city noise. Although driving up can be a bit tricky, I can guarantee 100% that it’s absolutely worth it! My friends and I joined a coffee and tea tasting session, followed by an hour-long farm tour, and the experience was truly wonderful. The coffee and tea were both amazing—rich in flavor and expertly prepared. The staff were all very friendly, especially Hide, the Japanese guide who led our farm tour. He was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly passionate, sharing so much about the farm and coffee-making process along the way. I learned a lot thanks to him. This has honestly been one of my favorite experiences on the Big Island of Hawaii so far! If I have the chance, I will definitely come back and recommend this hidden gem to more friends.

We did the ATV tour and the deluxe tasting. Such a good experience! The place had a relaxing atmosphere, and the variety of animals was a pleasant surprise. Our guide was great. She shared a lot of knowledge about the farm and the coffee process, including both well-honed traditional methods and cool innovations. She made us feel totally at home. The tasting was really fun too with the pairings, the beautiful view, and the helpful comments from our guide. We had a hard time deciding which coffee was our favorite. Totally recommend these tours!

Deluxe 60-Minute Tour Review We had an amazing experience on the Deluxe 60-minute tour with Kay at Buddha’s Cup Coffee! Kay was incredible—so knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. She took her time showing us around the beautiful coffee farm, which is much more than just coffee. We loved learning about the farm’s tea, macadamias, oranges, bananas, and more. The miniature horses, goats, parrots, chickens, and peacocks added a unique charm to the visit. The coffee-making process was explained in great detail, and it was fascinating to see how everything comes together. Kay’s occasional “need for speed” moments while guiding us around added a touch of humor and excitement to the tour! We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kona—it’s a wonderful mix of education, nature, and fun. Thank you, Buddha’s Cup, and a special thanks to Kay for making it such a memorable experience!

Such a fun experience! We did the coffee tasting/pairing and it was absolutely worth it. Not only did we get to try. All of their delicious coffee we also got to taste their honey, chocolate, macadamia nuts, and more! It was such a fun experience and well worth the price. Bonus points for having a very friendly cat you can pet.

Google
VIsited Buddahs Cup this morning. Views are fantastic. We came specifically for their honeys and picked up coconut, mango, tangerine, and Java plum. We also tasted samples of Java plum and maybe coffee flower. The place to go for unusual honeys that you don't find in the store. While you are there, we recommend picking up some honeys.

Google
fantastic coffer-lover attraction! We did utv tour and coffee tasting. Our tour guide, (秀吉?) is a nice and super friendly person with full passion. He introduced about this farm, coffee making process, the biodiversity in this farm and so on. Very enjoyable 90mins and we bought a lot coffee beans and tealeaves!

Google
I love this place so much! I went the other day for a coffee tasting and atv farm tour and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had as a guest here on the island. Highly recommend if you’re looking for things to do if you’re just traveling. Mahalo to the Buddha coffee fam 🤗🤙🏼✨

Yelp
Phenomenal coffee! So smooth and tasty! I loved this coffee shop. It has pirates, goats, bunny, peacocks, and turkeys onsite! Inside the store you can taste coffee and tea, they even have some kids toys to keep the kids entertained. My son opened a gold bar of chocolate without asking but glad he did, it was taste. It think 70% cocoa, so it's quite healthy as well. We had two kids with us so doing a tour was out of the question. But there were groups of people tasting at reserved tables. Lovely place and friendly staff.

Yelp
What a delightful experience! While we didn't have time for a full tour, the coffee tasting alone made for a wonderfully enjoyable afternoon. Our guide, Hide, a kind and knowledgeable Japanese gentleman, led us through five different coffees, each thoughtfully paired with an assortment of sweet and savory snacks. We indulged in treats like chocolate-covered macadamias, fresh guava slices, dried pineapple, house-made banana bread, and mini cookies--enough to keep my teenage son happily munching, even though he doesn't drink coffee. Hide's passion for coffee was contagious as he shared the unique flavors and stories behind each brew. The tasting room itself was a feast for the eyes, filled with vibrant art and a variety of merchandise. With cozy seating areas for groups of all sizes, it felt like the perfect place to relax and enjoy the moment. We couldn't resist buying a little bit of everything--cookies, chocolates, and of course, their wonderful coffee. They even offered to grind the beans for us, which was a nice touch. The outdoor seating was just as lovely, with peaceful spots to soak in the fresh air and chat with the resident parrots. We even had a visit from some curious peacocks and a few friendly chickens before we left. Though this place may seem a bit off the well-worn roads on the Big Island, it's absolutely worth the scenic drive up the mountainside. Sipping some of the world's best coffee in a tropical paradise? It doesn't get much better than that!

Yelp
This is a beautiful farm, and they grow so many things besides coffee. They are very kind, and they have a lot of cute animals on the property so there is more besides learning about how coffee grows. The basic tasting, which is by appointment, was also excellent. We booked the Xpress ATV tour, at $45 a person, which included a 30 minute tour and ride, along with tasting. We got to taste three different coffees, three different teas, and to have macadamia nuts, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, and chocolate covered coffee beans, all made on the farm. The one thing I need to add is that they advertise the ATV ride as "fast paced" & for "thrill seeking." So I thought this would be a better place to take my teen, who does not like coffee, than other coffee farms. But it turns out to be pretty slow, and with a lot of stopping to explain the different trees and growing processes. Great for adults interested in coffee, but not for a kid who's not interested. Also it's rainy in the afternoon, and there are lots of mosquitoes. So just keep that in mind depending on who is in your group. Also this is a pretty windy road up the mountain. So keep that in mind too. But I enjoyed it thoroughly and bought some of the Peaberry, which was delicious. I also bought some of their natural mosquito repellent balm, which seemed to work for me while I was there (using the tester!).

Yelp
Going on a coffee farm tour was one of the highlights of our time on the Big Island! There's no shortage of coffee farms to explore around Kona. Yet, Buddha's Cup manages to distinguish itself from others thanks to having an impeccably maintained coffee-tasting space, wonderful customer service, beautiful grounds, and last--but certainly not least--really delicious coffee and mamaki tea! We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners. She was so friendly and knowledgeable, and very generous with her time. The owner told us about how she and her partner got into the coffee business. She told us about the unique soil and weather of the Big Island that make it ideal for coffee-growing. She encouraged us to be more informed coffee consumers by asking questions about the land, cultivation, elevation, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our ATV tour with our helpful and well-versed guide, Hide. Exploring the estate from the top to bottom--seeing the various plants and meeting the assorted animals that also call the property home--was very special for me. It was so interesting to hear about how other plants growing near the coffee plants provided functional and sometimes flavor contributions. Besides coffee plants, we also got to see cacao processing. We met some friendly goats. We saw lively parrots and their other bird friends. And, of course, the wild chickens of Hawaii were all over. We also tasted macadamia nuts, passionfruit, etc. Buddha's Cup gives you a comprehensive, interesting, and delicious experience. I would highly recommend a combined tour and tasting if you're interested in plants, coffee, and/or nature. Be sure to bring a rain jacket. It can drizzle a bit.

Yelp
Landed on the Big Island and was trying to figure out what the best coffee farm to visit was... with talking to locals, 2 recommended Buddha's cup- 1) Green Flash Coffee (delicious, easy to go coffee) and 2) our server at Huggo's (nicer, upscale, ocean front music with live music). Very easy to book online (booked the Deluxe tour (includes tasting) Kaye was our tour guide and I can not rave about her enough, she is one of the 6 part time employees (only 6 full time that also live on the property) that work on the farm. The tour is an 1 hour ATV ride through the farm, where Kaye went through and explained the perfect cup of coffee, from seed to pour. She was very educational and the best part was it was also very interactive. If you don't know what farm to choose, choose a Buddha's cup!

Yelp
What a beautiful property!! We loved walking around here before stopping in their coffee shop for a cup of coffee. The staff here were friendly and welcoming. Our coffee was good, but I did order a flavored latte from the menu, and it was pretty sugary. It overpowered the coffee, unfortunately. I need to come back for a cup of black coffee.

Yelp
Great coffee farm Also have fresh fruit and teas, dried fruits and little chatchkies (stickers, soaps, shirts) Very friendly customer service as well

Yelp
What a beautiful place. We had an awesome tour 30 minutes. Then a deluxe tasting. They are very accommodating and you can do a coffee or tea tasting. Unfortunately I'm not much of a coffee aficionado so although I could tell a little difference between the types of coffee, I couldn't really say which I liked. They do give you a bunch of snacks to eat with your coffee tasting. Do that was a plus. The farm tour was wonderful. Got to see a variety of plants and trees and got some fresh fruit. The tangelos were so sweet and juicy. There were plenty of animals to keep my little one busy. We enjoyed seeing the process of processing coffee and learning about each process. My favorite was the pea berry covered chocolates so if course we had to pick up a bag as well as mamaki tea and 3 bags of coffee.

Yelp
I can't say enough great things about this place!! The $40 ATV tour is 100% worth it!! It was probably one of my fav things we did in Kona. Rosie (our guide) did an amazing job! She was so knowledgeable and willing to stop every time to pick fresh fruit for us to try! I loved how personable it was. You learn so much about the farm, and get a wonderful coffee tasting at the end of your tour. Highly recommend coming here!!!

Yelp
One of the best tours we have done. We were taken around on an ATV that seats 5 or 6 by Kate. I recommend the hour tour with tasting at the end. Starting with their own farm, other adjacent farms were purchased as owners retired or just wanted to stop. So it's quite a bit to see. Each area is unique and they kept that farms personality. Keeping each farm's coffee separate to make separate and distinct labels. They also produce several fruits and teas. We purchased rum cakes, dried apple bananas, turmeric, and ginger, along with coffee. Everything is grown on the farm. We chatted for sometime with Kate after the tour as well. She was very knowledgeable about everything that grows there. I highly recommend this tour.

Michael A.

Yelp
The drive to the farm was scenic. The farm included exotic birds that my kids enjoyed interacting. The one and big negative aspect to the visit was the Over price coffee. $60 per pound is absurd. Otherwise, the place had character.
google avatar

Veronica C.

Yelp
The pairing of snacks and coffee during tasting was extremely thoughtful and just downright yummy. The barista was both funny and knowledgeable. The view of the ocean was amazing and we were delighted with the peacocks, parrots and barn cats that looked in on us.

Yelp
The drive up from the highway was very exciting due to very narrow roads and lots of foliage around. The GPS went out a couple times going down later, so be sure to set the course at the top when you have their Wi-Fi coverage. A word to the wise... This place is a hoot! I loved it from the start. I accidentally went into the healing and mediation building at first. That was really cool, so maybe another time. The visitor's center was old-school-cool with helpful folk inside, and more coffee samples than I needed, but enjoyed. The tea sample got me to buy a bag of their black tea. They roast coffee a few times a week. They have several coffees to try. I settled on 3# of the Imagine beans. I managed to get green unroasted beans to roast at home in my mini-pro setup just for my wife and me. 100% Kona beans. Oh yeah! I even got some chocolate coated roasted beans to sample as well as their own honey. There were coffee-tasting groups around and a few tour groups as well. I walked around on my own after getting directions. Lots of photo ops. Chickens, peacocks, and turkeys roamed the area, as well as some relaxed cats. There may or may not be better coffee or tea on the island, but Buddha's Cup is #1 for a very relaxed and informative trip. I'll likely be back to stay for some healing experiences and more coffee/tea.

Yelp
This was by far one of our most favorite adventures of the trip. We stumbled across it on yelp and booked last minute. So glad we did. Rosie, our guide was amazing. The side by side tour through the plantation was beyond words. So many unexpected surprises along the way. Very scenic views. Loved the sampling of coffee, tea and snacks afterwards. Highly recommend. The staff were all so attentive. We roamed afterwards a bit and caught a glimpse of beautiful tropical flowers and the rainbow Eucalyptus trees.

John Y.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise. We took a Polaris tour with Kay and Rosie. What a very nice tour we had. They both pointed out various fauna and spices on the property. I thought we were just going to get a tour of the coffee farm and plantation. But it was nice to see as we traveled from higher to lower elevations the various estate plants. Both pointed out all spice, cinnamon, cacaos plants and other biodiverse plants on the property. We felt like VIPs as they treated us to various snacks upon our return. We tasted various estate Kona coffees and were treated to estate honey, bananas, mountain apple, macadamia rum cake, chocolate covered coffee beans and chocolate macadamia nuts. I really enjoyed it and so did the rest of the gang. Highly recommend. More than we expected.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience on this 30 minute coffee tour! Angelica was so kind and knowledgeable! Exploring the property was so much fun while learning about how the different types of coffees and chocolates are made. I highly recommend this tour!

Yelp
This place is great, the tour was interesting and so much fun, we drove off road vehicles through the farm, and in addition to coffee plants we saw fruit trees and lots of animals including mini horses and very friendly goats. After the tour we got to taste coffees, teas, honey that they make on the farm, cookies and macadamia nuts. We also had a long visit with a very chatty rescue parrot on the property. Our tour guide Shamara, was great, and she really made the trip for us!

Yelp
This was one of our favorite parts of our visit! Allison was so kind and gave us so many facts about their farm and how the coffee beans differentiate based on elevation and what else grows near them (i.e., macadamia nuts, vanilla, cinnamon etc). There were so many animals; chickens, peacocks, cats, dogs, and goats that were all so friendly. All the coffee beans are grown, roasted and roasted at their farm. Highly recommend visiting! We did not have a reservation but they took us right away, without problem. The coffee was delicious! It was a little bit of a drive up the mountain but absolutely worth it!

Jamie S.

Yelp
This was my favorite place we visited on our vacation! With so many coffee farms to choose from I feel like we got super lucky coming here...We did the express tour with the atv ride and added the tasting at the end. Just a cool experience to see the farm, try fruits off the trees, see animals up close and hear about how they make their coffee, tea and treats. And then there was the tasting...coffee was so yummy, teas were delicious and the treats were super good. My 13 year old loved this place because of the animals; cats, dogs, peacocks, parrots, goats. If I lived here, I would want to work here! Oh and I may have bought everything we tried!

Yelp
Magical, thrilling, unexpected and delicious we're just a few of the adjectives I uttered during my visit to Buddha's Cup Coffee Farm. Starting with the drive up to the farm I was in awe of the colors and lushness surrounding me. The property itself was no different but with the additional of farm cats, dogs, ponies, goats, and horses. Within a few minutes of arrival we were greeted by our guide, Shamira, and jumping in our ATV to begin the tour. Without giving too much away, we quickly learned this place is far more that just a coffee farm. We had such a blast on our tour, Shamira was fantastic, and we seriously lucked out on timing weather wise. It started to downpour once our tour ended which was ideal since they cancel tours during heavy rain. But the rain didn't stop of from us from running around, looking like idiots I'm sure, taking pictures in front of most beautiful and lush landscapes that is this property. If you're are in/nearby Kona, and want an experience like no other, be sure to book a tour at Buddha's Cup!

Yelp
They are great as long as you are not their coffee club member. They have yearly membership where they collect the whole years payment at the beginning and are supposed to mail out your coffee every month. They offer a discount that way. However, after the first shipment you don't get any more coffee! After sending an email I got my second shipment promising I will get my shipment every month after that. Well now I am waiting for my third shipment. I have sent one email and have called them three times without anybody getting back to me!

Yelp
Coffee is delicious and the location is beautiful. Employees are helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a return trip.

Yelp
Love the visit to this place! It is located on the top of the mountains within the forest! It is so pretty just drive up there. Then we had an amazing tour to the coffee farm, and know more about the Kona coffee, then we did the coffee tasting. Everything is so enjoyable! And surprisingly their macadamia nuts are sooooo good! It changed my impression to it! Now I'm fall in love with the macadamia nuts! Hope to come back and visit again!

Yelp
This is a great find! Super cute place with nice staff. We did a coffee tasting somewhere else prior to here so we were bummed when we saw how cute this one is. They have great coffee, mac nuts and snacks. The coffee or tea tasting is paired w snacks and much better than what the other places offered. They also have an ATV tour which seems amazing.

Zulhy D.

Yelp
Absolutely love it. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Made our family vacation very special and memorable. Really enjoyed the tour and of course the coffee/cookies/cacao/macadamias. Family friendly environment. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This place is fantastic!; coffee for the adults, birds and animals for the kids and wonderful sweets for everyone. A little off the beaten path, but worth it.

Yelp
Great coffee! Smooth and bold! They offer coffee tasting as well. At the top of the hills so follow the signs all the way up. Beautiful view! But wear your bug repellent when getting out of your car! Got 8 mosquito bites in less than 10 minutes.

Yelp
Edit in response to manager's comments: I'm sorry, but a lot of employees were not wearing masks. I appreciate that you and the other young woman helping us were, but plenty of people in the back area were not and I'm guessing that's where all the coffee is brewed. The patrons in my attached photo were just browsing the store and all of them were not wearing masks. So it is definitely untrue that they only remove them for tasting or when outdoors. If you are going to have a sign on the door and are intending to follow state guidelines, you absolutely should. I'm sorry for any distress you've encountered due to staff shortages but it is the employers responsibility to follow state guidelines and vet new employees. Again, I appreciate your service but this is too important to ignore. Disclaimer: I did not go on a tour or pay for any services or goods at Buddha's Cup. The grounds are absolutely lovely and two women (a new employee and someone who seemed to be the owner or manager maybe?) that helped us were awesome. The coffee and tea samples are amazing and they were very generous and not pressuring us to buy anything. So why the 3 stars? I really hate to do this but I'm absolutely shocked by how one woman was extremely misinformed about the facts of the political situations in Canada and France and was sharing her viewpoint openly at this business. I'm also extremely annoyed and angered that many places on this island have signs on the door that say they enforce mask wearing but they don't. This place did not enforce masks and most employees were not wearing one. Is this some kind of hippie anti vax/anti mask holistic garbage? This seems very common here which is disconcerting. I was casually having a conversation with a French employee here and asked her if she missed her home country and she started saying that France was going to have Nazi internment camps and that the truckers protesting in Canada were being jailed by Trudeau (who is basically a Communist China sympathizer, according to her) due to peaceful protests of freedom (and not because they're blocking roads and critical supplies due to their anger over vaccine mandates, even though that's exactly what it is about). All of this is severe misinformation and brainwashing and I feel completely sad for this woman that she believes this. Anyone who's even semi-educated hearing her rhetoric would think she lives in a different world. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want but I worry that she's spreading this misinformation to other patrons who are naive enough to believe it. Please keep your politics to yourself. I could've honestly just given 1 star but I don't know if this place is filled with people like her or if she's the only one. Again, the amount of weird hippie anti mask stuff I've noticed in Hawaii is so off-putting. However, I love the animals around the area and the view is amazing! I'm sure the ATV tour is worth it as well, the tour group had a nice spread of fruits and nuts afterwards.

Yelp
There were a variety of coffee tours to do in Kona. I saw that there was an ATV coffee tour. I mean who could say no to an ATV coffee tour?! So, I decided I wanted to give this place a try. Let me start by saying, getting here was a mission. You must go up the mountain with very narrow roads. At some point, I thought I was going to hit someone with all the turns I had to do. I didn't mind this, I was used to driving on this type of road. For those who aren't comfortable, I would suggest either finding a ride or have someone else drive. When I arrived, there is a place to park right in front of the shop. Outside, there were feral cats and other animals roaming around the area. They were all so cute! I saw turkeys, chickens, hens, etc. I entered the building, and was immediately welcomed in. I love how cheerful everyone was, especially in the morning. Coffee must be that good right? The actual tour itself was the BEST TOUR EVER. I am so glad that I chose this tour. The woman who did the tour was such a sweetheart! She was answering every question I had in detail since I booked a tour for one. When she saw there was a fruit that was ripe, she would give me some. She even told me that there was a hill that dipped, and it felt like a Disneyland ride. I absolutely adored her! I booked the ATV coffee tour and tasting. The coffee itself is DELICIOUS. I had to buy some and bring them back to my friends. I wish I got the espresso chocolate that they had. I think I had too much caffeine that I overloaded. I will ALWAYS come back here to do a coffee tour. If you guys want an adventurous coffee tour in Kona, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this magical place. My husband & I visited Buddha's Cup for the 30-minute tour and tasting, and I can honestly say that it was one of the most wonderful & memorable experiences of my life. We arrived about an hour early and were welcomed by Lynn & Shamira, who made us some coffee and tea to get us started - not even part of the tasting, just for our own entertainment as we waited for the tour! Manny, the owner, then brought us a fresh coconut that he cut into for us to have some coconut water. All of these things were just offerings before our actual experience even began! Rosie took us on our tour. Spirited, beautiful, passionate Rosie. This girl is amazing. She's brilliant at her job - I'm 21 weeks pregnant and the ATV was smooth, safe & FUN. Rosie educated us and showed us SO many fruits that grow on the farm, stopping along the way to let us pick our own avocados, and then getting out herself to pick fresh fruit for us to eat right there, during the tour - fresh guava, limes, and of course... Kona coffee cherries! The whole tour was truly spectacular. When we got back, it was raining, so they brought us a towel to dry off. My husband and I sat next to the window, watching the rain, as Lynn made us delicious cup after delicious cup of coffee to taste, along with pairings that are all grown and harvested on the farm - macademias, cacao, chocolate-covered peaberry beans, cookies... DELICIOUS. Lynn sat and talked with us the whole time, sharing recommendations for our trip and just getting to know each other. All of these people are the epitome of what I see as "The Aloha Spirit." What an epic way to spend a babymoon, surrounded by people who genuinely love what they do and love caring for others. Mahalo, Buddha's Cup! We will be back, and we'll miss you all in the meantime!

Yelp
Don't be like me, check out their check in offer for 15% off before you hit up the gift shop! But what a nice little drive up the mountain to this spot. We didnt get to go on a tour or a tasting, but loved what we tried in the gift shop and appreciated their reasonable pricing.

Yelp
Great true coffee tasting and education experience. One of our last stops during our trip, but one of the best experiences in the island. Tour given by a family member, and Manny stopped by to say hello and cut open a coconut to share.

Yelp
I hate coffee and this was one of the best things we did on the island! My family loves coffee so we did a tasting. They made tasting teas for me!! Those were honestly the best 5 cups of tea I've ever had. Kids loved the coffees. The presentation and little snacks were great and everyone was so knowledgeable and friendly. And so chill! Dogs, cats, chickens, roosters, parrots and a peacock. Walking around the grounds afterwards was a beautiful experience. And we had an earthquake while we were there! I grew up in CA and my DIL is from WA so we thought it was kinda fun to experience again and my kids were born and raised in MN so it was their first quake and I was so happy they got to experience it. I know, not for everyone, but it made the whole thing just a little more special. And the staff knew just what to do and nobody panicked or was hurt. It was a very short quake. The drive up is also beautiful.

Yelp
There are many coffee tours in Kona, HI. However, this is the only one with ATV (I believe when I did my online research). Thanks to Ann/Anne, our guide, it was a wonderful experience for the hour tour. She is very knowledge of the farm (history and plantation) and allowed us to taste the natural resources. After the tour, we were served with a flight of five different coffee with dried fruits, macadamia nuts, chocolate covered peaberry, and chocolate that was a nice complement to the coffee.

Yelp
Buddha's Cup is a hidden treasure with a wonderful owner, Manny. He and Lynn led our ATV tour which was fun, informative, and engaging. Manny gave us an extensive tour, even though we only booked the Express tour and treated us to a variety of fresh fruit from his trees: papaya, mountain apple, tangelo, avocados, grapefruits, apple bananas and more. The staff and shop are kid friendly, and we enjoyed the coffee and tea tastings as well as the array of snacks they shared. The keiki loved the games, farm animals, and pets on the grounds.

Yelp
Highly enjoyed this coffee farm tour. Worth every minute. We took the 30 min tour. We enjoyed every minute. Even though it was raining, we still felt like we had an enjoyable experience. Riding on the Polaris through the rain, our tour guide Anne was AMAZING! Full of energy and definitely able to accommodate to our interests especially our intrigue with the local fruits grown on the farm. Knowledgeable and engaging so that our tour felt very personal. We got to enjoy our coffee tastings with dried fruit, macadamia nuts, chocolate covered peaberry, pieces of chocolate. It was a nice added touch to compliment our coffee. I've been on a couple different tours so far on different farms. And I would without a doubt come back to bring family. Tours are by appointment only.

Yelp
Buddha's Cup has amazing coffee and an incredible staff. Everyone was so attentive and welcoming. They truly believed in their brew and spoke so highly of Manny. We spent a good amount of time chatting with Lynn and Carol and even fed the chickens - why not? It was a rainy day. Highly recommend - we are coffee lovers and will be back. Mahalo Alan and Tristan

Yelp
I'm so happy we went to Buddha's Cup Kona Coffee and Tea Farm! We signed up for coffee and tea tastings. I learned so much about how coffee starts out as a little red berry. It goes through many changes and processes. I didn't know Kona coffee is "hand-picked". Not picked any other way. I highly recommend anyone, who loves coffee or tea, to visit this beautiful and unique place. We left with two different kinds of teas, one was a hibiscus tea, the other was white tea with mint. Delicious!! They served cookies, rum cake, chocolate covered coffee beans and chocolate covered macadamia nuts. We will go again and bring more friends with us.

Yelp

Yelp
100% would recommend this local Kona coffee farm for a tour! Shamira helped me book a reservation via email about a few months in advance. Their hours are limited so I would highly recommend planning ahead of time to squeeze into your schedule. I was able to get a tour right when they opened at 10am and opted for the 60 minute ATV tour for $65 per person; however, they also do 30 minute tours as well. Shamira was our guide and got to show us where they processed the coffee beans, where the coffee grows, and even answered our random questions about the area. During our tour, Shamira picked us some fresh cinnamon leaves (which was incredible by the way) and also let us pick some fresh mandarin oranges. On the way through the tour, we got to see some cute wild boars roaming around which we discovered are notorious for damaging crops. After the tour, we got to try a few different coffees, chocolate-covered peaberries, chocolate-covered macadamia nuts, macadamia nuts, assorted shortbread cookies, and rum cake. Everything is grow organically on the property and it was SO delicious. Besides the chocolate-covered peaberry, the rum cake was my absolute favorite. It was extremely moist and you can actually taste the alcohol which is pretty rare. Valeriane served us and she is such a gem! She radiated so much positivity and gratefulness for life. She was definitely a breath of fresh air and it was a pleasure to chat with her. Thank you to Shamira, Valeriane, and the Buddha's Cup team for making my first ever Kona coffee experience exceptional! P.S. When you do drive up here, it does get a bit windy and the roads get narrow. Do drive slowly and be cognizant of cars coming in the opposite direction. There are also signs that will take you to the location as it is fairly close to Heavenly Coffee.

Yelp
Visiting Kona, if you want to check out a family owned Coffee farm and learn about the beans. I highly recommend checking out Buddha's cup Kona Coffee and Tea Farm. Its a bit off the road but well worth the trip up the mountain to check out this hidden gem. If you want to see a commercialized coffee farm you can visit the others but if you want to see and hear the passion behind raising coffee beans and other plants, this is the place to go.

Yelp
This review is simply for the COFFEE we tasted. We did not do a tour, but the grounds and location is nice as it overlooks the coast and the kids loved the animals that were around. We popped in for a tasting of their Kona coffee selections. We have been to quite a few coffee farms all over the island. I'm not sure if it was how the coffee was brewed, or whether it was fresh or not, but all the coffees we tried were highly acidic. We tried some out of the insulated carafes and also out of the french press they had brewed. Reading through some of the reviews, others have mentioned that it seems they are not brewing their own coffee properly... They seemed to have won many awards, but it was not for us based on what we tasted.

Yelp
Fun drive up to the farm, road was well marked. Lovely setting; shared ocean view with two ponies and plenty chickens. Welcomed by a very kind young French woman who poured us coffee and tea samples while we waited for our deluxe tasting of all five coffees produced here. Local girl was very informative and fun. Each tasting was accompanied by a farm product; chocolate covered coffee beans, macadamia nuts, pineapple and pineapple rum cake. All were onolicious Our only issue was the quality of the pour overs. Unfortunately the brew was rushed and not allowed to properly bloom which produced weaker and less enjoyable cups of coffee. At $25 per person, this was disappointing

Yelp
They folks here fit us into an already started coffee tasting. We were offered the tour too but didn't have time. There's a mirrored blue room which I hear is amazing and therapeutic. The coffees are good, and the tastes of the local rum cake with it, entices you to buy both. The friendly and social animals will lure you too.

Yelp
Buddha's is amazing!!! We did an ATV tour with Lin, and she was so enthusiastic and full of knowledge. Not only did she tell us all about the coffee process, but about all the plants and environment we were seeing. We got to meet lots of the animals, and even feed some. Definitely recommend this tour. Of course we did the tasting too, and it was the best coffee and tea I've ever had. The daughter-in-law of the owners (we cannot remember her name sadly) was who served us for the tasting. She was super informative and helped us pick out which ones we tried to take home. I am not a tea fan, but the hibiscus tea was so tasty I ended up buying some. All of the coffee was smooth and tasty, I ended up taking home the "imagine" and the "Buddha's" which are both medium-dark roast. Such a fun, happy place with lots of cute animals and amazing workers.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time there. Riding through coffee trees, tasting berries, lychees and meeting Manny who harvested tea for us. Gracious hospitality, diversity and quality. Go before Maxwell Bros buys it.

Yelp
30 minute tour and turned into 2 hours. I was well worth it. Had a great time. Taste tested 3 different coffees , chocolate covered coffee bean. During the drive tour , got fresh cinnamon, right off the tree fresh.
