Greta location on the happening khaosan road The hotel is old and rooms are a bit small but was good value due to the location. Khaosan road is very busy at night with many nightclubs so if you’re a light sleeper it might not be the best place for you. Pool is good size and service is good.

I understand that everyone is looking for different kind of housing, but this one turned out to be an absolute disaster for me. My bad - I didn’t know what Khaosan was, but having read all the positive reviews, I thought that it’s a great place to spend a few nights in, maybe just A LITTLE BIT noisy outside. Oh dear, I had never been so mistaken. Firstly, you get dropped off right in the middle of Khaosan before the restaurant. There is no lobby and you have to cross the named restaurant in order to understand where you are supposed to go. There were a few guards who I asked about the hotel and they helped me with the bags. After that, I had a nice experience at the reception, so the staff is nice and friendly, overall. The room was OK; it was clean enough (not clean-clean) and not too worn out, the only problem I faced was a dead safe, but they changed it after my request. But here we come to the main point: sleep. You just can’t expect to sleep in this hotel due to the fact that this building includes a bar that’s blasting music like crazy until 3 AM and that on the other side it’s Khaosan where music and people are even louder. I think if you come here determined to sleep after 3-4 AM then it’s fine, but if you want to fall asleep before that time, you just won’t be able to do it.

I booked this hotel only a week before travelling. I knew the Khaosan Road was one of the good districts to stay and this is at the heart of it. Located at the top end in what appears to be an arcade. ||The full experience was great another good find and such a contrast to Patong. Definite boutique feel, the rooms are well appointed I had a balcony on the side of the building. ||Lovely big bed, great pillows, fresh towels and bathroom products. Minibar (charged) but fresh water bottles everyday. ||I didn’t use the pool but I did look and its 5th floor location on the roof is really nice. ||The staff all very helpful, booking an airport taxi, laundry! ||If you have never been to Thailand but want a stay in a vibrant location Buddy Lodge is a must. Great price too! It’s a sanctuary away from the madness outside.

I was fooled by the comments on Booking and ended up staying in this horrible hotel for a night. I escaped the next day (without a refund). The hotel has two night clubs downstairs and the music was so loud that literally the windows were shaking. I couldn’t even talk to the person sitting next to me. When asked to change room the staff gave us earplugs (a sign of common complaints). Moreover, I had a booking with them for days later that they refused to cancel and charged me the full amount for. The room was dirty, the toilet had a leak and you can complete tell the hotel is rundown. Finally, the road is closed so you need to walk with your luggage to the next road to take a cab. Plenty of places where to sleep in that area. Don’t waste your money here.

A very pleasant surprise. The staff are attentive, helpful, and always ready to assist, and the room service is truly excellent. The rooms are spacious, the pool exceeded our expectations (with towels available and a cocktail and snack bar), and there’s even a gym. The only downside is that the Wi-Fi was quite difficult to get in our room. It’s worth noting that the hotel is located on a lively street at night, which we hadn’t expected. The noise isn’t too disturbing once you’re inside the room, but it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, Buddy Lodge turned out to be a delightful surprise that exceeded our expectations — and we definitely recommend it!

Everything was going really well until the last day. We had hidden our passports in the apartment and, when it was time to leave (around 6:30 PM on 22/08), the woman at the reception refused to go and get them. What kind of hotel refuses to help you retrieve your passports? A big lack of professionalism on her part. It’s a shame, because the hotel itself is very good and all the other staff were great! But honestly, this person doesn’t deserve to work there anymore.

The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to the prime spots in Bangkok. The rooms were decent; I like the wooden floor as it gives off homey vibes. Expect late-night noise. Our room was on the fifth floor so the volume was bearable. They prefer cash deposits, which is a letdown.

Very Loud, you don't can sleep until 4 a.m. then they turn the music down. Was not very relaxing for us. The cleaning Lady was very Polite to us. And made our stay a bit more bearable.
