Buddy Lodge Hotel

I booked this hotel only a week before travelling. I knew the Khaosan Road was one of the good districts to stay and this is at the heart of it. Located at the top end in what appears to be an arcade. ||The full experience was great another good find and such a contrast to Patong. Definite boutique feel, the rooms are well appointed I had a balcony on the side of the building. ||Lovely big bed, great pillows, fresh towels and bathroom products. Minibar (charged) but fresh water bottles everyday. ||I didn’t use the pool but I did look and its 5th floor location on the roof is really nice. ||The staff all very helpful, booking an airport taxi, laundry! ||If you have never been to Thailand but want a stay in a vibrant location Buddy Lodge is a must. Great price too! It’s a sanctuary away from the madness outside.

We stayed at Buddy Lodge Hotel in Bangkok, located in the Khaosan Road area—definitely one of the most central and vibrant spots in the city. The location is very convenient, with a McDonald's and a 7-Eleven right at the entrance of the hotel. Our room had some thoughtful amenities such as 24-hour room service, a minibar, bathroom toiletries, bathrobes, and even an umbrella for rainy days, which we really appreciated. These small touches showed attention to guest comfort. During our stay, we experienced two power outages in the room. Also, the layout of the bathroom was a bit awkward, with the main door and shower door colliding into each other, which made using the space slightly uncomfortable. On a positive note, the housekeeping team was very friendly and helpful, always smiling and attentive to cleanliness, which we really valued. Since the hotel is on Khaosan Road, street noise can be heard until around 3 or 4 AM, which may disturb light sleepers. Even though our room was near the pool, we could still hear some noise, but the sound insulation was decent, so it didn't bother us too much. As a hotel manager myself, I did notice that the reception staff and the bar staff at the rooftop pool (5th floor) lacked warmth and genuine hospitality. A bit more smiling and guest engagement would significantly improve the overall guest experience. Despite these minor issues, the hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-located. I would still recommend Buddy Lodge, especially for travelers who want to be right in the heart of the action.

Brilliant. Great location, value for money and friendly staff. Stayed here and would definitely stay again. Try get a high floor room and away from the main road for a quieter room. Very happy stay, thank you to all e staff.

I recently stayed at here many times , and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location is ideal—close to key attractions, restaurants, and public transport, making it convenient for both business and leisure travelers. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and professional throughout my stay.The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities including free Wi-Fi, a cozy bed, and a spotless bathroom. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax after a busy day.

A very pleasant surprise. The staff are attentive, helpful, and always ready to assist, and the room service is truly excellent. The rooms are spacious, the pool exceeded our expectations (with towels available and a cocktail and snack bar), and there’s even a gym. The only downside is that the Wi-Fi was quite difficult to get in our room. It’s worth noting that the hotel is located on a lively street at night, which we hadn’t expected. The noise isn’t too disturbing once you’re inside the room, but it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, Buddy Lodge turned out to be a delightful surprise that exceeded our expectations — and we definitely recommend it!

This place is a gem. So many complaints about the street noise. Then why book on this street? It doesn’t matter what hotel you stay in it will be loud until about 2am. For me the convenient area was great. 7-11 in the hotel lobby and lots of food and drink choices right out the door. Pool area was very nice - with bar service, prices for drinks standard for this area. Housekeeping was good. Hot showers and comfy bed. And they let me check in early. Felt boutique if that’s you jam.

Everything was going really well until the last day. We had hidden our passports in the apartment and, when it was time to leave (around 6:30 PM on 22/08), the woman at the reception refused to go and get them. What kind of hotel refuses to help you retrieve your passports? A big lack of professionalism on her part. It’s a shame, because the hotel itself is very good and all the other staff were great! But honestly, this person doesn’t deserve to work there anymore.

The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to the prime spots in Bangkok. The rooms were decent; I like the wooden floor as it gives off homey vibes. Expect late-night noise. Our room was on the fifth floor so the volume was bearable. They prefer cash deposits, which is a letdown.
