Budi Sun Resort

Beautiful and peaceful place. Room very nice, clean, and comfortable (best room I had during several weeks travelling in Flores). Nice staff. Good breakfast. But food for lunch and dinner needs to be improved... Especially considering the prices applied.

Set in a large garden setting, Budi Sun Flores offers a lot. The grounds are extensive and seem to be undergoing positive new development with lots of new trees planted. Location is somewhat outside, east of Maumere, so city travel needs planning.||We stayed in a larger house with 3 bedrooms and a sitting room; bathrooms are fine with hot water and water pressure, though missing shampoo / soap. Rooms are basic, comfortable though sheets and blankets basic and the rooms could do with a bit more decoration.||The restaurant is open air with a good menu of Indonesian and western meals. Service is friendly and courteous, though the need to order by 4pm for dinner points to a smaller kitchen. ||One highlight is the driver who took us to the diving village - Jakob. Super safe driver, well informed and fun to hang around. Recommend a day trip with Jakob!

My dad and I absolutely loved our stay here. The resort is beautiful and taken care off with love. Every day the beach is cleaned, when you go to the pool they clean it for you and lay a soft mat on the chair, all the details are taken care of. Special thanks to Rykard the receptionist who chilled with us and always made nice conversation. The location is right on the beach which is perfect. We stayed for 7 nights and not once were we bored but if you’re looking for busy city life or lots of touristic attractions this isn’t it. To me that’s perfect, but just take that into consideration. We rented a bike to see more of the area. Without riding a bike it seems to be a bit more difficult, but not impossible.

We booked Budi Sun Resort for 4 nights and we liked it so much that we ended up booking for an extra night! The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The food in the restaurant is just amazing! Really freshly cooked and very flavours we dare to say it was the best food we had in Flores. The swimming pool is a great plus and the beds in the beach are just amazing to relax. Highly recommended value for money.

Wow. What a beautiful place. If you are after peace and tranquillity, then this is just superb. We have stayed at the top places in Maumere but this tops it off.|The management are superb with service and advice. We hired a motorcycle for 2 days and were given directions to the most wonderful and off the beaten track locations in Maumere. |My only question is, "Why do people go to Bali?"|In Maumere, we discovered Blidit hot springs.... amazing!, Doreng Beach, small villages, beautiful jungles, and wild monkeys. Maumere is the true paradise of South East Asia and is untouched by the tourist hoards. |Budi Sun..... thankyou for your service and advice.

A haven of tranquility and peace ca 15 km from Maumere. My bungalow was very spacious, comfortable, cozy and clean. I loved the private balcony, the garden and the direct beach access. Staff were very friendly, and the place is very good value for what you get. Very minor drawbacks: taxi service into town is offered, but it's very expensive. (It's very easy to hail an ojek on the main road.) Proceedings in the restaurant were sometimes a bit confused (but very likeable). Breakfast includes delicious homemade bread but is otherwise a bit frugal. But this is nitpicking. On the whole I had a fantastic and very relaxing three days here and felt very welcome.

We had a fantastic time at Budi Sun resort and would encourage others to go ahead and stay here. We went for the inside room next to the kitchen and it was great. Extremely clean and not noisy throughout the night when you want to sleep. ||The managers in charge of guest experience are fantastic and so helpful. Their English is great which is helpful when you have some questions. It was my birthday during our stay and the staff made me feel extra special and made me some lovely birthday pancakes, it was a really nice extra touch.||The free breakfast was the best we've had throughout Flores and we had beautiful evenings meals here also.||The dive shop attached to this hotel is very professional, The dive master is extremely experienced and we felt very comfortable diving with him. The dives sites we visited were soooooo incredible and we got to enjoy them on our own as there was no other divers in sight. ||We will definitely be back to stay and dive again! Thanks for a lovely stay.
