Budock Vean Hotel

We know Budock Vean very well, my husband is a member of the golf club. He plays golf several times a week with my friend's husband, while they play we go to the beach and swim in the river, we are now using the pool weekly. On Sunday, with visiting family, we had lunch in the dining room. We had the Christmas set meal and it was wonderful. The hotel looks beautiful with its decorations and the food was amazing. So tasty, we could not fault anything. The restaurant staff were so attentive and efficient but also so friendly. We were very impressed with a young lady waiting on our table who told us she had only been a member of the team for a couple of weeks. Terry in the bar was also very busy but still had time to be as friendly as usual. I know there are new owners at Budock but I hope changes are more cosmetic and that the amazing team working there remain, it would be a pity to lose the people that make the hotel special. We stayed at August Rock holiday home for my husband's 50th birthday which was wonderful. It was so quiet in the evenings, all that we could hear was an owl. The accommodation was luxurious, very well laid out, comfortable beds and had everything you could need. I loved walking down to the beach every day and we used the pool and spa every day. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, arranging lunches and afternoon tea before our arrival and during our stay. The location is great with lots of walks from the doorstep or lovely places to explore in Cornwall. It was the relaxing break that we needed and we would happily return. Thank you!

Lovely hotel, beautiful grounds. Very comfy bed, it was a stormy rainy windy weekend but our room was lovely and warm and the swimming pool was inviting. We enjoyed everything about the hotel and the area is stunning, beautiful walks and just 2 minute drive to the ferry boat inn (or a 20 minute walk) and the lovely beach. We will return in the spring when the weather is better! The staff are all lovely. Thank you.

We have stayed at Budock Vean a number of times over the past year, as a family with a young baby and now with a toddler.||Budock Vean is the perfect quiet retreat for anyone, the staff are always wonderful, the two ladies on the reception desk cannot do enough to help. The waiting staff in the restaurant are always incredible, and made us feel very welcome - even laying a place for our baby. ||The hotel has an abundance of character and the fire by the swimming pool is spectacular and very welcoming on a chilly morning. On our most recent visit we made use of the spa, both of us really enjoyed our massages and the ladies in the spa were brilliant.||We ate in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and both a casual dinner and the formal four course dining option - everything was spectacular. The menu is always brilliant - proper food cooked properly. I highly recommend the four course dinner, with a toddler running around we had it brought to our room - the staff that served the room service were very accommodating as always. ||We are already planning our next stay, my very fussy husband can't get back to Budock fast enough.

Wonderful customer service! The manager Bronwyn helped me to create a special surprise for my friend who was having a baby shower celebration at the spa. They really went the extra mile to make it a special occasion and celebrate her. This is somewhere with a truly special touch for celebrations. Would recommend!

Our 15th visit to this quite superb hotel, and we will be back. The location on the Helford River is excellent, with easy public transport links to Falmouth, and close proximity to the South West Coast path. The food in the restaurant is simply brilliant, and the overall ambience of the hotel is wonderfully relaxing.

Our family! My wife and I, my daughter and husband and two grandchildren stayed the weekend Storm Bert made land fall for my wife's birthday. We had the worst drive of our lives across Dartmoor and 12 inches of snow with 2 1/2 hours of going nowhere. On our arrival we were immediately cocooned with the greatest of care - accommodation, food and ambience and felt so so relaxed.|My daughter summed our experience up far better than I could ever do by saying " They did not miss a beat in delivering excellence". And so they did! Would we go back? When is the answer! Thank you all for making it so special!

Had a Spa day with lunch. Very quiet, lovley. Pool is warm & ideal for limited mobility. Changing room very limited, basically a toilet room one area with a bench to change, lockers outside. Not private. Lovely lunch, service very limited that day but the lad was lovely as very busy. Beautiful grounds & walk down to private beach & super eco cafe
