We had a great time here! We stayed three nights and two full days and that gave us time to enjoy their activities and go to the hot springs twice. The highlights are the beautiful location, fun activities and fantastic staff. The rooms are nothing special but just fine - temperature was comfortable thought our stay and beds were okay. The breakfast buffet was great, but dinners were very disappointing. Overpriced and some of the meals (especially the pasta entrees) were quite small, insufficient for my kids despite the pricetag. The Mirador restaurant was the best experience we had. We truly appreciated the staff who were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

We had a great time at Buena Vista! We stayed 4 nights. The staff is super friendly and kind! We loved Carlos at The Mirador. He was very helpful. ||The hot springs were wonderful, and horseback riding was a favorite for us. It’s a beautiful place with a lot of wildlife. ||My daughter, 16, got sick when we were there and the staff was super helpful and made sure everything was ok.

This is a great place to base out of or to spend a couple of days relaxing. Their six hot pools are beautiful, and relaxing, and their are other activities to keep you busy. There was only one restaurant open for dinner as the busy season is getting ready to start. Roy, Alturo, Victor, and one other chap that was there on a Tuesday and Thursday night did wonderful at service. Wonderful tree top view of the ocean and sunset, with monkeys in the trees below you. The groundskeepers do a wonderful job and everything looking pristine. The rooms are spacious. The fans are big enough to cool the room however mine was making noise that was a little irritating to sleep. An easy fix. The bathrooms were well lit, in the shower what is spacious and with plenty of hot water. For 2 days I did trips off property to other waterfalls. This is a great place to base out of for the northern part of Costa Rica. Zip lines, hanging bridges, horses, waterfalls are all on the property.

We visited Buena Vista del Rincon in 2019, and have been dreaming about coming back since. So we loaded up the family and came back for our annual holiday trip— all I can say is it’s even better than we remembered. All the amenities and activities they offer make the planning easy and enjoyable not having to run around to different places. A true Costa Rican experience with excellent food, great coffee, beautiful scenery, and so much to do and see. And the staff is some of the best, friendly people I’ve ever encountered— especially Carlos! Huge thanks to the team for another great experience and I look forward to returning again in the future.

We stayed at this resort for three nights about a week ago. The location is stunning, high in the mountains, with incredible views of the Lower Mainland. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout the resort, and service was generally excellent. However, there were several issues that impacted our stay: 1. The rooms have very poor sound insulation. We could clearly hear guests in neighboring rooms, which meant very little privacy. 2. One morning there was no hot water, so we were unable to shower. This may have been a one-off, but it was frustrating. 3. We had breakfast (included) and lunch at La Montaña Restaurant ($25 per person). While the service was great, the food was disappointing. Other dining options may be a better choice. 4. We booked the hanging bridge experience ($30 per person), which we felt was not worth the time or money. 5. On the positive side, the hot springs were lovely, and we spent a full day there, definitely a highlight. Overall, the setting and staff are excellent, but the issues above affected our experience, and we would likely consider other options next time.

We liked it so much that we went back to finish off our vacation there. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always gave us a warm and cheerful reception at each location. There were many activities available that were fun, exciting, relaxing, interesting and educational. A buffet breakfast was included with the room, as was visiting the nearby (3km) hot springs. The food at the dining facility was excellent and very reasonably priced and the view from the deck was spectacular. No other place that we came across could even touch this place for value. We will most definitely be returning next year!

We had planned a beautiful trip filled with adventure, sisterhood, and celebration, but our experience at this location took a terrifying turn that I feel compelled to warn others about. Earlier in the day, we had an unforgettable time horseback riding and zip lining, and everything seemed perfect. But our visit to the water slide ended in a horrific accident. My sister went down first and suffered severe injuries, including a broken maxilla and multiple broken teeth requiring surgery. I went down immediately after, with no warning of the danger ahead, and was violently flipped, suffering a deep gash on my eyebrow that required stitches. It was a terrifying moment. The staff there was unprepared and never stopped operating that slide even with my sisters whole front row of teeth no longer visible . While going what seems 90mph I was screaming and praying for my life, and the fear I felt is something I still carry. We had to race through the jungle to get medical care, and I can’t express enough how grateful we were for the paramedic who never left our side and our travel guides who stayed calm and supportive through the entire ordeal. What makes this even more chilling is that earlier that day, an iguana blocked a bridge and repeatedly hissed at us, refusing to move. In hindsight, this felt like a warning a moment of nature trying to signal danger that we ignored. We are sharing this not to ruin anyone’s trip, but to urge extreme caution. While there were moments of fun and beauty, the water slide is incredibly dangerous and left both of us severely injured. Please be aware, take safety seriously, and understand that what seems like a simple thrill can have devastating consequences. And now what will be several thousands of dollars of medical and dental care.

This place has the best views and wildlife! Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Only an hour outside of Liberia airport this is our second time staying here and we brought our family this time. The food is amazing with options even for your most picky eater. Carlos was amazing at recommending and giving us history and advice. We stayed in the new cabins this time and they were very modern with Ac and nice walkin showers! This won’t be our last stay here.
