Buenos Aires Marriott

Overall, an excellent option consistent with the typical Marriott approach. Pluses: +Prime hotel location. +Quiet at night. +Entire staff very nice. +Lobby bar made excellent martinis. +Beautiful spa and pool at top of north tower. +Our 16th floor suite (south tower) was fantastic. +16th floor had very comfortable and well maintained lobby of its own. +Outstanding views of Oblisco +Breakfast buffet has lots of choices Improvement Areas: -Only 2 water bottles provided (and I’m a Bonvoy member with Lifetime Gold status) during 3-night stay, -Staff responsiveness to requests for room not good (we asked for and never received bottled waters, bathtub salts, and wash cloths) despite multiple requests and assurances -Lobby bar food okay Booked a suite on the 16th floor of south tower and it was very well appointed. Large bedroom with television, separate sitting area with sofa, and large bathroom. My wife loved the bathtub located in the shower all within a spacious bathroom with a separately enclosed toilet. Located approximately 20 minutes from airport (~$45 U.S. for taxi which we paid via credit card — although the proprietor at first tried to charge $60 US and only claimed to accept cash).

GREAT location. Very nice spacious room with a view of the city. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. Nice pool and hot tub on the 23rd floor. M Club provided a nice place to relax and enjoy food snacks, and drinks. Would stay here every time.

Overall, a great stay with excellent facilities. The rooftop swimming pool and gym offered amazing views, especially at sunset. Special thanks to Daniela and Jose at the front desk for their professionalism and friendly service. I was upgraded to Presidential Suite 1921 thanks to my Ambassador Marriott status — the view from the suite was incredible. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, but there were a few issues: • The private sauna in the suite wasn’t working, which was disappointing for a presidential suite. • There was a massage chair in the room, which initially seemed like a great feature, but the hotel did not provide in-room massages, making the chair feel somewhat odd. • I also booked a massage at the hotel, which unfortunately turned out to be one of the worst massage experiences I’ve had — the room was cold, very bright, and the service felt unprofessional. Overall, the hotel and suite are excellent, especially for views and location, and the staff at the front desk were outstanding, but the massage and in-room wellness features need significant improvement.

Our room in this hotel was very spacious. It had a nice alcove with a desk and chair. A partial wall separated the sleeping area from the desk which was good when someone was on their computer at night and the other someone wanted to sleep. The buffet breakfast had lots of choices all very good. Wi-Fi was free, easy to access and fast. There was no dresser in the room, but we tend to just use our suitcases as our storage. The location is wonderful. The Opera house is immediately across the wide boulevard. A few blocks away you can't find the theater district and lots of nice pizza restaurants.

Convenient location. Teatro Colon is just across the street. Breakfast is excellent too. No tissue box is offered here just same as the other hotels in South America. Be aware of this.

Marriott Downtown Buenos Aires has a very good location and the team is genuinely nice and professional. The rooftop pool is also a highlight and a great place to relax. Unfortunately, the negatives clearly outweigh the positives. The rooms are totally outdated, with old wooden interiors and very worn bathrooms and showers. If you don’t book a room with a view, you’re essentially looking at a wall. The fitness room is another major disappointment: the air conditioning barely works. One unit in the cardio area is running, but the room still becomes extremely hot, and the strength room has only one AC unit that cannot cool the space at all. Training there is uncomfortable and next to impossible. The breakfast is also below expectations and not what you would expect from a Marriott property. All in all, as a loyal Marriott customer for more than two decades, this stay was clearly below Marriott standards. I cannot recommend this hotel.

The good: Great location central to landmarks, restaurants, theatres and museums. A short walk to the waterfront. A 10 minute taxi ride to Soho. Lovely lobby area, feels slick and opulent. Nice club lounge area. The rooms are comfortable, bathrooms well appointed. The not-so-good: Room cleaners need to pay closer attention, some spider webs behind the curtains. Window pane was cracked, will need replacing soon. The staff just don't have that "5 star feel" - many don't speak English, and some have not received appropriate training/supervision to ensure that they provide a courteous and friendly service.

This Hotel is the perfect location right outside the Obelisk. The executive lounge was decent. The staff at checkin was great. I have to give it a 4 as a Loyal Titanium member for years this is one of the few hotels I did not get an upgrade and saw that there were upgrades available on the app.

Beautiful hotel! I have stayed at many Marriott hotels and this is by far the best. Hotel staff are very professional and friendly. The aesthetics of the hotel are lovely with marble all over. The Location of the hotel is central to shopping, restaurants and sites to see. The pool on the roof is beautiful and very relaxing. Throughout the hotel is water infused with fruit which is quite good. This hotel is more like the a Ritz Carlton.

Great location, staff very friendly. Love the rooftop pool. Rooms were pleasant, but no universal outlets, so need adapters, but front desk had some. Downside was the cafe and sports car listed on website ate closed , so only very expensive restaurant breakfast available. Had tapas and cocktails at the bar, were good.

Great location in Buenos Aires, Argentina downtown area. I stayed here for a few days while doing some touring. Check in was professional and convenient. The hotel is very classy, large rooms, and good ventilation. I saw a lot of business class people and professionals due to the location. Wifi was pretty descent. Breakfast was abundant, lots of choices, there is something for everyone at this hotel. I also enjoyed the bar with food service, all the food was delish and presented well. They do have a rooftop bar, pool, sauna, and exercise room with plenty equipment. Fresh fruit water to enjoy during your workout. The views are amazing from the rooftop! The front desk will give you a map and give you some tips for your adventure in the city. This is the perfect spot to start your vacay in Argentina. Step outside your hotel door and walk the city, a lot of attractions are close in proximity. I really enjoyed my time in Buenos Aires, Argentina!

this now Marriott! Do NOT stay here. Marriott should be ashamed. It is full, so no upgrade. But with Titanium status, we had the dingiest smallest room. A view of a wall. It was filthy. The towels are threadbare. See photos of the feces on the toilet. the front desk service was atrocious. She implied that because we checked in at 1 pm and it was 8 when I took a shower and noticed it (as it was on the side next to the shower) that we were responsible for the mess. Incredibly insulting. She offered/and did send housekeeping but I would expect an apology or at least SOMETHING from a manager, rather than a shrug, acknowledging hat the filth is the norm for this hotel. Take the welcome points, and don't bother with the breakfast. It's terrible.

This hotel is now a Marriott! So here is the Sept. 2022 review of my stay. Marriott's hotels are not just adequate hotels, they are quality hotels; sadly, this hotel is just adequate. I spend more than 50 nights a year in Marriott hotel, and thus, I know Marriott quality. This hotel is not at the Marriott standard. There are many things that are wrong here. I will name a few. The restaurant could not even make Eggs Benedict. They served me a cold poached egg on cold toast with a piece of bacon on top with no Hollandaise sauce. I sent it back and they return the same egg and toast with mustard on top. The staff is functional, but most do not understand the concept of "customer service," and only a few were proficient in English. The hotel is on the busiest and nosiest boulevard in Argentina (9 de Julio) and even in our room on the 18th floor the traffic noise was heard all day and night. Marriott bought the old Panamericano hotel in 2020 and opened it in 2021 but there still are ripped rugs, cracks in the bathroom and doorknobs that fall off. In short, this property needs help to make it a Marriott; right now, it has the name but not the quality. There are better hotels to stay at in Buenos Aires; I will not return to this hotel.

This is one of the higher end hotels here in the center of Buenos Aires. When you walk into the lobby you can tell that this hotel is pretty nice. The rooms are decently clean. My only complaint is that the towels are a bit old and I think they need to be replaced. It's probably been washed and bleached far past it's suppose to be. They're starting to thin out. The blankets in my room were also a little on he thin side...but you can always ask for extra blankets. Other than that the room is okay. Nothing special but clean and comfortable enough. The best part about this hotel is the spa and pool area. It's beautiful both during the day and at night. It's located on the 23rd floor and is said to be the highest swimming pool in Buenos Aires! I really enjoyed swimming, and just relaxing by the pool. They also serve free drinks in this area. The fitness center is also quite nice with a decent amount of treadmills, work out equipment and a punching bag. There is also a sauna in the bathrooms on this floor. Lastly they have free breakfast for guests and the food is pretty good. It's your standard eggs, sausage and bacon. There's also a large selection of bread and different jams and sauces. Overall a great hotel.

Kids NOT welcome here and rooms have a foul smell. I came on business and brought the family which included very well behaved 12 and 14 year olds. They were not allowed to stay in the room with us which they were thrilled about--but if you have one child, then they will need to stay alone. They were also not allowed in the pool or the bar with us. If you have kids, stay elsewhere. The free breakfast was not at all good. Runny eggs, hard croissants, rancid salami, and Tang (fake OJ). The rooms are nice but there was a smell of sewage around the minibar and the towels smelled very strongly of bleach. Ordered champagne which was only slightly cold--not a temperature you want to drink champagne at.

We loved our stay at the Panamericano Hotel!!! First, it is the perfect location and centrally located right across the street from the 100 year old plus Teatro Colom, which offers a must see tour! The hotel itself it really stunning and the food and service is great. Be sure to upgrade to a view of the Boulevard. It is worth it!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The lobby is very elegant and classy. The lobby staff are very friendly and attentive. I especially enjoyed going for a swim in the rooftop pool. Fantastic city view. I dropped a star because the breakfast wasn't very tasty and the beds are pretty small and didn't have blankets for chilly nights.

Quaint (ie, old) hotel in a busy part of town. Reasonable rates. However, their service leaves a LOT to be desired. Waited hours for towels. They only give you like three (one face and two bath), which I guess they must expect you to share with who you're staying with. An hour goes by after you call asking for more towels, then they forget about you, then you call back, then another hour, then you finally get a few "extra" towels. This pattern repeats, the next day because who ever cleans your room takes all the "extra" towels and leave you with just the 3 or 4 you started with, so you have to go through the entire process again DAILY. We had a similar situation asking for room service and asking for bottled water. Walked downstairs to the shop next door because waiting for service made no sense. When you're traveling you can't spend 3 hours waiting for towels and water. Point is, their service is awful. You expect so much more walking through the door. They are in a busy part of town and centrally located and the rooms are spacious, but otherwise I don't think I'd stay there again. (We actually switched hotels the last night even though this was already paid for.)

Can not believe we spent money on this terror! Pros: -Paulina and David are the only staff members who are nice and seems to have some sort of customer service skills! -close to public transportation Our story with the hotel started with a local friend dropping is off from the airport and as she was waiting for her daughter to buy us a card for public transportation the hotel started telling her she couldn't wait by the hotel doors where she was not bothering anyone or blocking any kind of traffic. They also started telling us we couldn't block the entrance because we were not guests of the hotel, which was false! When we finally checked in we asked for the hotel staff to help us get a reservation to a restaurant, since we had no way of reaching them nor did we speak Spanish, the man at reception told us "no one is answering, probably siesta will try back later and call your room" there was no follow up. Then they gave us a small room with a king size bed and when we told them our reservation was for a double bed, they told us it was not specific enough with an attitude. Finally they changed it to another room with double beds. When you arrive on any floor the place smells like a bad air freshener, which is not noticeable on the lobby floor because the lobby is covered with fresh roses, but the floors themselves smell terrible! Once we were finally in our room we noticed a rotting smell but gave it the benefit of a doubt and allowed the room service to clean when we returned from a long day of traveling the city the smell was still there and we couldn't stay there. When we asked for a room change we once again received an attitude from the staff and where told that the cleaning staff cleaned it twice that day (the smell was still there). Finally changed our room to a much smaller option where the separated the king bed into two twins. In our new room the bath water in the bath tub would not go down and would take 15 minutes to drain properly! Once again we brought this to the attention of the front desk and once again nothing was done about it and instead we were once again given an attitude and told it was done, when it was clearly not fixed! The bed and sheets and pillows are so comfortable that we were awake most of the night. The instructions for the safe are old and outdated and are behind the door so almost impossible to see unless you look very hard.
