"This pizzeria is nothing short of a warm and inviting atmosphere in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood.  This is a place where you can sit down with some friends and enjoy a few slices, accompanied with a few craft brews.  These from-scratch pies will melt in your mouth after being cooked to perfection in an 800 degree stone oven." - Elle Gassner

Bufala is a place we come to quite often, especially for the delicious pizzas and tiramisu. We love sitting in the bar area because the bartenders are so friendly and welcoming, and it’s a cozy spot. The outdoor patio is wonderful as well. Their happy hour deals can’t be beat!

We had an absolutely fantastic meal at Bufala Edgemont! From start to finish, everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The chicken Parmesan pasta was rich and comforting with crispy chicken and just the right balance of sauce and cheese. The pepperoni pizza was a huge hit—crispy, slightly charred crust with loads of flavor. The mushroom risotto was creamy and earthy, a standout dish we’ll be dreaming about for a while. We also tried the truffle fries, meatballs, and kids pasta—each one hit the mark. Even the kids’ meal was cooked with care and tasted just as good as the adult portions. Everything was served hot and crispy, and the freshness really stood out. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service was warm and attentive. We left with full stomachs and happy hearts. Not a single complaint—Bufala Edgemont truly delivers a memorable Italian dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Staff were very friendly. The $4 meatball for happy hour was delicious. Really enjoyed my Chicken Parm dish too. My wife said her meal was exactly what she was feeling like but I'm not sure what it was called. Mixed drinks were well done too

Google
Pasta was not bad, but nothing amazing. Lasagna was overcooked, it was soggy. The pasta for the ragu was al dente, however I did not love the flavour. I did love their salad, that was really great. Tiramisu was yummy, but nothing amazing. I would not come back mainly because it is super far from me and not worth the distance based on the quality of the food.

Google
Their food quality is just average. We tried Fiocchiona Pizza that was not good, a plain mixture of bread with sauce and pizza cheese. The sausage that was added to it was not good at all. You can get much better pizzas from thrifty foods just next to them with half their price !! We also tried truffle fries. This one was good. The only thing that I can recommend is truffle fries. We had a seat in the corner. That was not a good location. There were lots of propane tanks next to us that is both hazard and nothing standard in any restaurant. They charge us $10 more for bringing our own salad to our table, so instead, I had to skip paying tip. Overall not recommended.

Food was excellent. We ordered olives, pizzas, dip, and garlic prawns. All but the prawns were from the Happy Hour menu which had a very decent selection. Service and ambience were good. The restaurant is spacious and modern. We sat in the patio which was lovely with plants and herbs. Live music may have made it even more pleasant than it already was but it was early. I liked that we could hear our own conversation even though the patio filled up quickly after 6pm. Edgemont Village gets busy so come early to find limited free street parking. We were lucky to find a spot. I think we noticed free underground parking when we left, below the Thrifty's. Overall, my whole family was happy with the birthday experience. We stuck with water and our bill averaged well under $30 per person after tax and gratuity. Definitely returning, as it now ranks up there amongst my favourite Italian restaurants.

This is a really good neighborhood Italian restaurant. Pricey but with healthy portions and friendly service. Very good wine choices. We didn't follow the traditional Italian primeri piatti and secondi piatti and instead shared appetizers, pastas and pizzas in the middle family style.

Google
A neighborhood Italian restaurant in Edgemont Village - great service and delicious meatballs, pizza and pasta. Reasonably priced, decent portions and delicious food. We enjoyed everything we had. Great for groups, dates and happy hour. We recommend this local spot for a nice dinner with friends and family. To the owners: You nailed the Dine Out experience compared to 90% of the restaurants. Great options, great value on the menu, incredible experience with no pressure to choose dine out or the regular menu 👌

Yelp
So good to find a unique brunch place close by. This Italian place serves brunch (and pizza) on weekend lunch time, in fact they have a special if you come early or happy hour too. The menu looked delectable. What did we get? - Calabrian sausage Benedict - this was really good, the server asks you how you want the eggs done. Unique focaccia "muffin" and the egg was done really well. The sausage was just a few thin slices though. - comes with arugula salad which was good, not bitter IMO and we asked for extra crispy potatoes and these were th BOMB!! Extra crispy potato skin and amazing crunch. - I liked the porchetta hash. Good meat, great flavour. - bambolini had great sauce. - breakfast carbonara has really rich and tasty sauce. Everything was done great, especially the eggs and potatoes. We would come back in the future for sure.

Yelp
Came here for lunch. Got their happy hour rigatoni ($18) and truffle fries ($11). I found the service great and really enjoyed the food. Both the rigatoni and the truffle fries were very well done. All the flavors were mixed very well together and I found everything super filling! The happy hour prices were a nice discount as well and I really enjoyed my experience. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back.

Yelp
Our first time visiting this location of Bufala in Edgemont Village. Saturday night, no reservation, our party of 5 was quickly seated and greeted by several staff members. From start to finish staff was welcoming and friendly and the restaurant has a whistler vibe. We ordered the garlic bread and truffle fries to share, both were very good. Our mains were mixed, margherita pizza, Chicken Parmigiana and Rigatoni. All were enjoyed, flavourful and fresh. Our server was excellent and attentive, it was a great team effort. Only negatives is there is no parking in front, which is tough for seniors mobility wise and the pasta was a little al dente for our taste. Prices were reasonable.

Yelp
With two locations and a third one looming on the horizon, Bufala Edgemont serves delicious Napolitana pizza and Italian food. Featured here: Olives Truffle Fries Tuscan Bean Dip Brussel Sprouts Rigatoni Margherita Pizza Calabria Pizza Spaghetti & Burrata Didn't taste much truffle in the Truffle Fries and it smelled a bit too strongly of pecorino romano for some of us. My husband isn't too fond of cheese in general whereas myself and our daughter both love cheese. However, even she and I found the cheese to be a bit of a turnoff this time. The pizza on the other hand could have done with a bit more cheese on it. We love ooey, gooey, stretchy cheese but there was no "cheese pull" to be had with these pizzas. Aside from the cheese being too much or too little, we loved the food here. My husband said his Calabria Pizza was very tasty. My daughter and I enjoyed the flavor of the Margherita Pizza, and we all loved that the pizzas had a nice, crispy crust. Earlier this year we had dined nearby at another pizza & pasta restaurant where the pizza crust had been quite disappointing so we were over the moon when we discovered how crispy the pizza crust was at Bufala. There were these three bottles on the table. Each one contained a different flavor of oil which the server told us was meant to be eaten with the pizza. The green oil was a Rosemary Herb flavored oil, and this same oil had been on top of our Tuscan Bean Dip. We loved this oil! It tasted awesome on the Tuscan Bean Dip and wonderful with the pizza as well. Spaghetti and Burrata was by far, my favourite dish of the evening. It's described as having kale pesto, Italian burrata and toasted pumpkin seeds on it; I was very sure that I could also taste lemon in it although lemon wasn't mentioned on the menu. This place is my new favourite for pizza & pasta on the North Shore, and I very much hope to dine here again sometime! Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the street Location: 3280 Edgemont Blvd., North Vancouver

Yelp
Amazing pizza, been many times always hits the spot and for 20$! The service is pretty fast not amazing but still better than normal, and the lighting is great.

Yelp
Bufala Edgemont Dine Out Van Price for the menu = $39 Cuisine Type = Italian Reservation = Take Reservations Definitely one of the more filling Dine Out Van experiences I have had. They have plenty of options for Appetizer and Entree. We Ordered: - Appetizer = Truffle Fries (Shoestring Fries, Pecorino Tartufo, Garlic & Herb Aioli) & Garlic Bread (Mozzarella, Parmigiano, Herb Butter) - Entrees = Artichoke & Olive Pizza (Artichokes, Green Olives, Red Peppers, Caramelized Onions, Bianco) & Pepperoni Pizza (Thinly Sliced Pepperoni, Mozzarella, Oregano, Marinara) - Desserts = Ice Cream Sundae (Dulce de Leche, Hazelnuts, Vanilla Ice Cream) & Tiramisu (Mascarpone, Espresso, Amaretto, Cookies) Least Favourite Dish: Artichoke & Olive Pizza. Service was great and we had a great time.

Yelp
Food service and ambiance was so good! We travel to Vancouver once a year and never had a great meal to remember! I'll be back to this place for sure!

Yelp
We had a great Sunday afternoon here, enjoy our wine and their Neapolitan-style pizza. Food: Their pizzas were so fresh, tasty, and delish. like their wine selection. Service: everything was clean, they follow all Covid protocols has friendly staff, and the atmosphere was great. The covered patio was super nice. Parking: There are many free parking locations in Edgemont village.

Yelp
Good food but terrible service. When we were leaving I mentioned that the service was not very good. They were not very apologetic, they just explained they have new staff. We were offered a desert tiramisu which I declined and then they offered to take the garlic bread off the bill. I asked for our pasta to be removed because honestly every word that they said made me more upset about the experience. Our food came quickly but we had to wait about 5 minutes before another server walked by and then we asked for plates and cutlery. We finished our meal and waited 20 minutes and nobody came by to check on us so I flagged over another waiter and asked for the bill. What really started the spiral of bad service was that we did not get offered another drink during our visit. If we were asked after finishing the first drink that may have made the experience better. Also, if you have a feature on the menu it would be nice if it was in stock. There's a grocery store nextdoor. I've heard the same complaint about service from others but didn't think it would be this bad. Empathy goes a long way!

Yelp
It was such a nice change to finally visit this Italian restaurant to load in all that delicious carbs that our long weekend deserves! We ordered the Meatballs + Finocchiona Pizza + Rigatoni in our visit. The meatball is slightly on the salty side but the sauce was perfect for dipping your pizza crust! The texture of the rigatoni was just perfect al denté and had a nice bolognese sauce with it. The pizza really stood out to me in this meal at Bufala. They prepare the Neapolitan style pizza fresh from scratch and baked to perfection in their 800 degree stone oven. The crust had everything right, from the bubbly-ness, chewiness and crispiness of the crust! And my favourite part was that they use green olives in the Finocchiona Pizza! It had such a beautiful smokey and nutty flavour it completely elevated the pizza flavour!

Yelp
We arrived for dinner tonight around 9:00 p.m. Upon finishing our meal, the waitress immediately brought the check without requesting it. We thought she was trying to anticipate the service. However, after paying, around 10:15 p.m., the hostess approached us: a tall, blonde-haired, grumpy-faced young lady. She told us rudely, "I'm sorry it's past 10:00 pm, we are closed, and you got to go!" Unfortunately, this young lady urgently needs proper training in customer service to be working in the front of the house. The schedule is public it clearly says open until 11:00 p.m. Customers should never be treated this way. Or is it because we are not Caucasians? We simply do not understand this kind of behavior.

Yelp
Service was slow. They didn't seem to be super busy but it was a solid 30 min wait for a drink refill. The pizza was excellent though!

Yelp
Not even - these were two of the best pizzas we've ever eaten. 'Let's check out Edgemont Village to see if there's a good spot for lunch', we said. Well we walked a ways before finding this new place (though there really isn't much for restaurants there). There wasn't really much on the menu at Bufala that looked good to us, so we just decided on a couple pizzas, and these pizzas were absolutely delicious. I had an artichoke red pepper, and my partner had a mushroom arugula pizza. Sooo frickin' good. Nice new restaurant with the tiniest of tiny washrooms and v friendly staff. Turned into a nice day.

Yelp
Bufala was so delicious everything we tried was SOOO GOOD!!! We started with the Burrata (definitely recommend) and ended with tiramisu everything was extraordinary! Try the truffle fries, you won't be disappointed!! Definitely going to come here again when in Vancouver again.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time yesterday and it was so good! Definitely one of the best pizzas I've ever had and they offer dipping oils to have with the pizza. Sooo good. This restaurant is in such a nice and cute area too. And they have happy hour from 4-6 on weekdays and 3-6 on weekends!

Yelp
Not very good. Service was specialized for their friends and we were ignored most of the time. Food was even just Luke warm. If your friends of the owner then I am sure this place is great. Otherwise forget about being served.

Madison E.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing! The pictures do not do it justice. The pizza, homemade chili oil, and staff are amazing. Definitely worth the eating at!

R M.

Yelp
We go there often and the service and food is usually pretty good, although they constantly change the rules, they don't take reservations, they only take reservations, then they don't take them again but I guess that is pandemic stuff. I used to love the chicken Parm! But the last 2 times it's been stringy and not pounded flat like a good parm. Fix it and I will increase the rating to 4 stars!

Yelp
We have only gotten take out here through their website and we always get pizza and are blown away. Their pizzas are all very good. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Yelp
Heard lots of good reviews but found to be mediocre Italian-american food. Guess comparables in north van aren't great, hence the recs. Probably wouldn't go again unless I had no choice

Yelp
Really enjoyed my night at Bufala tonight! My parents have been here numerous times now as it's in their hood and they can't stop talking about it! It's added a whole new vibe to the small village of Edgement which needed this restaurant badly! The ambience is really nice and once they open up the patio, this place will be even more bumpin. Highly recommend you make a reso as the restaurant is always busy. We ordered cocktails to start! I had the Aperol Spritz and my bf had the Dante's Garibaldi - the spritz was awesome, nice fresh flavour and loved the addition of the juicy orange and salty olive as garnish. I also really appreciated the ice they used to fill this drink. Ice can truly make or break a drink and make it too watery but these big cubes were perfect! The Dante's was exactly how you'd get the drink at Dante's in NYC. Very impressed with the bar menu and the attention to cocktail garnish. I also had the Fitty Fitty which was basically a very strong but smooth gin martini that came with olives, a pickled onion and a huge caper. I was abit disappointed that it didn't come with a pickle like it stated on the menu. I probably wouldn't order this cocktail again. I need my martinis dirtier than this. As for appetizers, we enjoyed the Aranchini which was filled with a delicious cheesey mushroom risotto and dipped in aioli. We also had crispy polenta which came with a salsa verde. Delicious dish as well, I just wish we didn't get both at the same time as the dishes were deep fried and on the heavier side. That's our fault! For mains, we got the Rigatoni, Parpadelle and Puttanesca. The Puttanesca was a touch too fishy for my liking but my boyfriend devoured it. I like mine a little more on the spicy side. I enjoyed my moms Rigatoni a lot and it may have been my favourite dish of the pastas. The pasta itself was cooked well and the flavour of the meat sauce was great. The parpadelle had nice chunks of ham in it and the noodles were very fresh. It came in an oil based sauce so nice and light! The dishes looked like they're on the smaller side because of the bowls but trust me, it's a good amount of food. To top off the excellent meal, we enjoyed decaf cappuccinos and a slice of tiramisu which was filled with a nice coffee flavour. It was also nice and light so I didn't feel super full after the meal. All in all, really great night! Next time I'll have to try the pizza as it looks absolutely delicious!

Yelp
A review has been long time coming for overall great experiences and stellar staff. Good craft beer selection, perfect martinis, and delectable cocktails. Favorite menu items include the brussels sprouts, caeser salad, and pepperoni pizza. Excellent job adhering to safety guidelines too. We always feel welcome coming Bufala! I would like to give a special mention to Sonja (sp?) the bar manager and all around rock star of a person. In a world where working in a restaurant during a pandemic must feel like hell, she is always upbeat and a shining ray of positivity during the heaviest of times. My wife and I joined for a sunny Sunday brunch a few weeks ago just as they opened. I could go deep into detail about this particular experience, but no one has time for essays. With a heavy line-up at the door and within 20 minutes all tables filling, this service had an opportunity to fail. Executing brunch any day is tough for the best of veterans, but on this the particular day the small team lead by Sonja(sp?) performed no less than perfect. This includes the kitchen staff for producing top quality eats in a timely manner. Insert clapping hands emoji.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. I live in the area, as do my 3 friends I came with. We asked to sit outside (I'm immune compromised and it was explained to them that I can't eat indoors, that outdoors is the safest and really only option for me and we are here to celebrate my birthday). They said no! They have a full outdoor covered patio and said no. The reason they gave was, "if we make an exception and say yes to you, everyone else will want it too". Why do you have an outdoor eating area that can't be used? And why go you think you need to make an exception for others, unless of course they are immune compromised too? Terrible management to turn us all away.

Yelp
Wonderful outdoor dining area and wonderful service. Have been there many times and will be there many times in the future. Great Negronis, appetizers, and pizzas.

Terilyn O.

Yelp
Lowkey worse than the spaghetti factory. Cold and tastes like it came out of a can. Staff were really disorganized too. They didn't even know they took reservations when I checked in saying I reserved lol

Cornell R.

Yelp
Was expecting a lot but a bit underwhelmed. Flavors were a bit too sweet or salty. The portions were average which was fine but the overall taste were not what we were hoping for which was a more authentic Mexican style of food.

Yelp
Great new restaurant in Edgemont village, the Brunch is fantastic as is the dinner menu. It's our go to local spot

Yelp
Sunday, February 7, 2021 I went there for the first time for the brunch. I had their basic breakfast with bacon and I swear it was the best breakfast I've ever had. The service was exceptional. The servers were very friendly and the food was outstanding. I can't wait to go back

Honest V.

Yelp
Had breakfast with my wife and friends...or should i say "brunch"....my wife had "the runs" and didnt make it out...at least made it home. The breakfast was tasty...not sure about the food handling behind the scenes...what a shame. apparently brunch is back on the menu ...hope they get it right next time for someone else...not for us !

Sandra S.

Yelp
This restaurant could be great. Was so excited to finally get there. It's spacious, friendly atmosphere. However, the food arrived cold and servers didn't check to see if everything was ok. Took a long time to get condiments - too late for eating the meal. I want to love this place and make it a regular haunt but hot food and better service is important.

Angelo A.

Yelp
First time there this past Saturday, great food and atmosphere. It was the first time I was out in awhile and the staff made us feel all safe. Our server Francesca was amazing, had great recommendations and took really good care of our table. Definitely going back, thank you for a great night out .
