The Price and the quality of the rooms are why you stay here. There are better beaches on the island but the concrete bungalows are large, well made and fitted to a western standard. The photos of the pool and restaurant are lies. There is no pool and no restaurant. However, the high quality morning coffee is excellent as are the staff, except the Russian owner, Dmitry, whose people and social skills are either non existent or aggressive.

this place is just perfect, super nice host, perfectly located, bungalows big, nice and clean and finally soft beds in phayam. highly recommend

We could choose our bungalow and got the one with sea view! Very nice , clean place and very quiet when we were there (off-season). Friendly staff, very helpful in organizing trips and making the best of our vacation. Food was great, especially the chicken with cashew nut and the roti with vegetables. We went on an amazing snorkeling trip that was recommended to us - totally worth it. On the beach there were the most beautiful clams we have ever seen. Kayaking is for rent, we did not go. We would always go there again.

Came back again year later.. 500 to rent kayak for whole day, good price. Have free water refil for customer who stay too.. Room Very clean and service is just wonderful. Beautiful White Beach, calm water. Definitely will visit again.

We had planned to stop here four nights but ended up stopping five because we loved it so much. The bungalows are set in the jungle just back from the beach. They are basic but perfectly adequate and clean. The beach is just glorious. The food in the restaurant we thought was divine..we didn't find any better on the island. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The resort is quiet (which we loved) definitely not a noisy party party place, so if that's what your looking for go elsewhere. Had a great cooking lesson with Dimitri.

Lovely place. Awesome beach with huge low/high tide difference making it nice to walk far away in the wet sand. Dmitri and his family are extremely welcoming and helpful for anything. Super quiet and thus relaxing. Very well maintained equipment (the gaz water heater is great). Highly recommended for couples or families

We decided to treat ourselves whilst staying on Koh Phayam and stay somewhere with 24 electricity etc. We arrived in the dark and our first impressions weren't great. The man who checked us in came across rude and unwelcoming. The room was nice enough and clean but the resort itself felt eery and although it was meant to be fully booked no one was around. ||||The hotel advertised lots of activities such as diving and snorkeling but it seemed when we arrived nothing was available although we found some other places to do this on the island. ||||The rooms were meant to be cleaned each day - the beds were made but nothing more than that- the towels were never changed and the floors weren't swept. ||||The food in the hotel was average so we mostly ate in other places on the island. The beach was very quite and pretty. ||||We felt that the hotel was over priced and breakfast wasn't even included. ||||Our stay here was fine and we loved the island but we hired a moped and drove to long beach or the other end of Buffalo Bay and this suited us more. This resort has SO much potential to be amazing but it just needed some love and maybe people would spend more time there.

The place is beautiful, the rooms are clean and very nice. The owner was not very friendly and treated us like we were children who he expected not to follow any of the rules he had made about the towels and room keys. It is strange to encounter someone whose entire business revolves around customer service who is so poor at interacting with guests. It's a shame, because the place is beautiful and the rest of the staff were very polite and helpful.
