Add stuffed burger with bacon and mushrooms. Very tasty., chicken tenders were very soft and tasty. Green beans applesauce tasted very well. Had blueberry cobbler with ice cream was very tasty. Prices was reasonable. Service was fantastic.

Great lunch spot in our trip! We had the fried green tomatoes, potato skins, cheeseburger w/ fries and chicken fried steak. All was great!

Great local place for breakfast. About 1/2 the price of the main draw in town. Less than $15.00, including tip, for the two of us. I got breakfast #3 - 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties and 1 pancake. Cooked fresh and served hot! My wife got two pancakes and a side of bacon. The two pancakes were too much for my wife to finish. The only downside was the weak coffee.

We were at Buffalo Joe’s midafternoon. The restaurant stayed busy. Customers coming and going, and arms full of to-go orders lined up on the counter. This is an old Pizza Hut converted with a few country décor items to make it a small-town café. The service is adequate, the prices are very fair. I had an odd Club Sandwich. Everything you expect on a Club Sandwich only with naan instead of the typical toasted sandwich bread. It was a good sandwich. The naan didn’t make it any better or worse, just different. My wife had the Buffalo Burger, no cheese, cooked medium rare. The waitress grimaced when my wife ordered the patty medium rare. The restaurant does not like to cook the bison any way other than well done. Rare or medium rare is the only way to eat bison. The cook got it pretty close. That is hard to do on a thin patty. Both meals came with fresh cut fries. They had a fresh potato flavor, but the crispness only held up for a few minutes. As they cooled, they became limp drooping potato sticks. The potatoes had not been properly prepared to make the good crispy fry that I prefer. Some people love those kinds of flaccid fries. They did have a better flavor than the processed crinkle cut fries that small town drive-ins sometimes serve. If you are not town bound to Pawhuska, eat in Bartlesville. However, Indian tacos on Tuesday might be worth a try.

Best food place in Pawhuska and Bartlesville. High-quality food! I would eat there every day if I lived there. Highly recommend for tourist to come visit this local place in Pawhuska to take home a piece of Pawhuska history.

The burger , homemade coconut pie with the best homemade topping and homemade peach cobbler are delish!!!! Must stop here instead of the Merchantile.

Great food at Great prices!!! The eggs were cooked exactly as we requested and had a great flavor. The pancake was absolutely delicious and fluffy and what I think all pancakes should be. Our waiter was very friendly. I definitely recommend this place.

A comfy place where a lot of locals eat. We ate breakfast here twice and supper once. I had a Monterrey chicken sandwich, chicken breast, grilled onions and mushrooms on Naan bread- I loved it. Breakfast here is awesome. Super nice staff. Very reasonably priced. Pancakes just like I like them- not too"cakey", with a bit of chew. Oatmeal was good. Toast was pan fried and yummy! Hubs had eggs and bacon along with his pancakes- all great.

Totally comfort food at a place where a LOT of locals eat. We decided to bypass all the PW places downtown and eat somewhere else. Glad we landed at Buffalo Joe's. This would totally be a five star review but our waitress was a little slow and it took about 30 minutes for the food. But, the food was good! I had the hot hamburger and I would recommend getting a small (which I still couldn't finish). It comes with a side as well as the mound of fries so I tried the okra. My mom tried the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy and coleslaw. She said the coleslaw was great. The meatloaf was a massive serving, about two inches thick! A lot of the lunch crowd was ordering what looked to be like a great chef salad. Saved that thought for future reference. I would totally eat here again.

It was very good and tasting. It's very home-cooked. The owner is a very nice. The service is great and the ambience is awesome.

Talk about a lot of bang for your buck here! My son and i wanted to grab breakfast before hitting the road on a Sunday morning this was the only place open. Has everything from waffles to omelettes at an incredible value. We ordered and finished our meal in probably 30 min or less. I was never offered a refill and also charged a milk when it should've came with the kids meal but we were in a rush and didn't even want to bother. Overall the place is great value for pretty basic breakfast staples!

This place is extremely loud to the point of hurting my ears. There is nothing to suppress the noise. Noise suppression items are cheap. There is no excuse for this. The food was quite good and reasonably priced. A little heavy on the salt. Service was adequate.

Breakfast was fantastic and very reasonable, even cheap. The biscuits and gravy were awesome, same for the sausage and eggs. Best deal in town by far!

Ok, this is in a former Pizza Hut painted beige. But don't let that deter you. Inside those slanted windows are some of the best hamburgers and chicken-fried steaks around. You could bathe in that cream gravy. Avoid the club on naan. It's a naan starter. But everything else...

Had dinner at Buffalo Joe's and really enjoyed the Pickle O's - the breading was excellent, tasty and not at all greasy! Definitely worth trying. I had their Buffalo burger with fries - the burger was cooked well but the fries were not very appealing either visually or in their texture and taste! My wife had their salmon with the fried Okra and brown beans - it was OK but nothing to write home about!

The Pioneer Woman Mercantile and majority of the shops in this town were closed on Sundays...Bah-Humbug!! I drove over an hour to try the Mercs breakfast! So thankfully Buffalo Joe's was nearby, and open. I was already is a glum mood, and as I drove up to Buffalo Joe's...it looked like an uneventful establishment, but I should never judge. We were told to seat ourselves and immediately my waitress, Marissa, greeted us and poured me a cup of delicious coffee. I wasn't in the mood for "diner" food, but I needed to feed the depression inside me. So indeed I ordered, and I was going to make it good! I ordered the fried mushrooms and loved it!! Nice and crunchy breading on the outside, and a fresh juicy bite on the inside...The bison burger was delicious, and their French fries were also seasoned well and crispy...My daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese sandwich so we both were satisfied. There is absolutely nothing special to look at about this place. My suggestion is that this place come up with a juicy double bacon, or a mile high cheesy, chili type fries, and a badass apple pie with vanilla ice cream...Just something "extra will make this establishment more exciting. We are in the middle of nowhere, and this place I'm sure thrives on locals and passerby's. I'm grateful Buffalo's has better than average food, Great service, and good coffee! Smack me for judging.

Our party of 9 really liked our meal at buffalo Joes. Loaded fries, hot hamburger w/gravy, meatloaf, catfish, stuffed burger, chicken fried steak, BLTs, were al delicious. $130 for 9 people plus tip.

Good food, fast, and friendly service. Hot coffee, not bitter at all. I had the omelette and skillet potatoes all the veggies were fresh and it was tasty with the salsa. Mom had French toast and while it wasn't anything gourmet she ate her entire order and she's a picky eater so I know it his the spot for both of us. Thankful it was open early even on a Sunday as we were leaving town and the mercantile isn't open on Sundays

Don't let the exterior deter you. The place has good food and is very reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and fast!!

Buffalo Joes may have the ambiance of an old Pizza Hut but it doesn't even matter when the food comes out. Perfect fluffy buttermilk pancakes served with soft whipped butter, the kind of pancakes that will make you nostalgic of your grandmother's house for Sunday brunch. Their breakfast burritos are packed to the brim with real scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, ham, shredded hash browns, and lots of gooey delicious cheese. We enjoyed the small town vibe, where people would come in, see someone they know, and visit at their table for a bit. The service was wonderful too. Our waitress was an adorable teenager who got us everything we needed and made sure to check on us throughout the meal. This is a great place for breakfast, especially if you want a little home style cooking.

Great service. Cheap home made food. Lots of diner style dishes and daily specials. We had the indian tacos (fry bread with chili, beans cheese, lettuce, salsa and sour cream). Very good!

So we popped in for Sunday breakfast on our way out of town this morning. Pretty much nothing else is open on Sundays so... Husband got a breakfast skillet, it had potatoes, sausage, eggs, jalapeños & other goodness and he ate every last bite it was so good. I got the chicken fired steak breakfast. With homestyle potatoes and a couple of eggs over medium. Skipped the toast. Eggs were cooked perfectly, 4oz chicken fried steak was absolutely delicious, and perfectly sized. And those potatoes were the bomb! I usually take a bite or two but these I could stop eating. I couldn't eat everything but I sure tried. Don't count this place out on good food because it's not owned by the local celebrity. It can stand on its own and their chicken fried steak is better than Rea's ribeye version. Sorry, but true. Coffee was meh. but who cares with food that good. Can't wait to have it again. I don't give 5 stars without warrant.

This place has fabulous breakfast! I had the skillet it was delicious! My husband had the #4 and ate every bite! It was way better than the Mercantile and half the price! I have had friends that ate dinner here and said the chicken fried steak was huge and yummy! Don't miss the chance to eat here when you come to Pawhuska!

We were out at Woolaroc and looking for a place to grab some dinner, and this place popped up. Worth the drive! Great food for CHEAP!

I was not impressed. The burger I got did not look like a regular burger it was more maroonish brown. tasted like a veggie burger, I think they mixed something with the ground beef. worst part of all was they charged me .39 for extra pickles on the burger. that was like .10 a slice. I didn't get lettuce or tomato but was charged for asking for extra pickles?? last place that tried to charge me extra for pickles was DQ and that was 15 years ago and I haven't been back since. but on the positive side after talking with the waitress she got the charge removed. maybe if I'm ever back I'll try breakfast.

We ordered the frito pie, cheese fries and chili cheese fries. All were delicious however the chili was pretty greasy.

Headed home from a beautiful drive through the Tallgrass Prairie. Stopped in based on Yelp reviews. Good food. Good service. What more do you need! I recommend it.

How does this place have good reviews?!? We passed on a much nicer dining experience based on Buffalo Joes having a higher yelp review. What a mistake. I thought we should have turned and run once we stepped inside and realized the inside was bland and outdated. But we figured, don't judge a book by its cover. Well, in this case judge away, because the food and service was just as terrible as the outdated and rundown building they were being served in. Word of the wise, turn tail and run...

Disgusting this place is nasty food all over the floor and they made me pay for something I did not order and I got a order of fries and Mac and cheese which is 27 dollars plus the thing I did not order and the waitress stole a dollar for her tip which was wrong can they said the manager would not let them take it of i hate this place don't go at all

We were promptly greeted when we came and found a seat quickly. Our server came by to ask our drink orders and give us some menus. She was very attentive, but we felt like we were rushed as she came by multiple times asking if we were ready yet. I had the burger. It was very good, but on the small side. I had a side of green beans, that didn't have much flavor. Jamie had the fish and fries, and he said it was good. The place was clean. I did go use th bathroom while there and while it was clean, the lighting was very poor. I could not see very well in there. No way you could see if you still had food in your teeth!

I'm still adjusting to this no longer being pizza hut! But the food is great and I don't have any complaints regarding the staff. My grandparents eat there almost every Sunday. But the parking lot needs to be done again because it's rough.

We stopped in for a late dinner (730) and on Yelp their hours are until 9 but we learned they actually closed at 8 when another group came in at 820 and they said they were closed. I guess we should have checked the hours on the door before we came in. We were very apologetic to our server and quickly finished our meals so they could close up. We started with the Mac and cheese bites which were delicious. My husband got the sirloin and it was cooked perfectly and he ate every bit. I got the brown beans and corn bread which was also good. I got full from the appetizer and my side of fried okra so I didn't finish but left with a full belly. Overall we enjoyed the food and felt horrible about the fact we were the dreaded late customers.

Stopped here on a whim and by Yelp reviewers and we weren't disappointed. Everything was very good. There was only one couple there when we arrived which was unnerving but that didn't deter us from stopping. Chicken fried steak and chicken were great, burgers good as well. Salsa and chips were good too. I wanted the catfish but we were too early, but I got to see the filets as we were leaving and they looked as good as everything else. I will make sure if I'm ever in town again to stop in after 5 and I'll give it a try. All in all, I'd go back if I'm back that was again.

I tried there bison burger which I thoroughly enjoyed and it was very well seasoned. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant. They have a variety of burgers and kid friendly items. This restaurant is super close to the pioneer woman's new store called the Mercantile.

Good country breakfast. They serve traditional breakfast combos with your choice of meats, eggs, bread and hash browns. Also a great chicken fried steak. My mom had oatmeal, and my sister had a veggie omelet. We all enjoyed sitting down. It was clean, with a laid back small town atmosphere

About the only sit down restaurant in town but food was great & prices reasonable. Had Fried Green Tomatoes, huge Indian Taco, & catfish dinner. Husband said catfish was best he'd had in awhile.

I had a delicious hamburger with fries and a side salad and water, all for less than $10. I was a little sad that I'd seen some Mexican options on their Facebook page, but couldn't find any on the menu. I walked in with a craving for Mexican food. Alas, they have really good burgers and I would be surprised if the fries weren't cut in the restaurant. We came around 7 on a Tuesday night and it seemed like most of the other diners were locals which is always a good sign. Our waitress was really sweet. A friend got the chicken fried steak and said it was right up there with the one she'd eaten the day before at The Pioneer Woman's restaurant. Speaking of, this is a good (and possibly the only) alternative to PW's place in Pawhuska and I'd bet money that she grabs take out for her family from here too!

This used to be a Pizza Hut but made into a cafe. Home cooking at its best. My wife had their brown beans and cornbread! Excellent. I had chicken fried steak sandwich. Hand breaded and well prepared. Can't beat this. Portions are large so beware! Also home made peach cobbler. We walked in at 11:30 and got the last table, but service was quick and considering how many were there, food arrived in a reasonable time. Waitress was great! Only complaint (small) is that it is noisy. Tile floor, no acoustic tile on walls or ceiling.

Love it! Best place to eat in Pawhuska! Always fresh. Love the street tacos, other Mexican and French dip specials. On the regular menu the chicken Monterey sandwich is excellent, as are the chicken fried steak and chicken. Brown beans are perfect. The staff is always friendly and happy; the good mood spills over to the customers. My only gripe is that I'd like to see more vegetables or low cal items.

Staff is friendly and efficient. Food is good southern cuisine with great daily specials.
