We recently stayed here 3 nights during our Mighty 5 road trip! The location of this place is perfect ! It sits on a hill with amazing views all around of the mountains and farming plains. There is a wrap around porch to sit and enjoy the sunrise, star gaze, or eat your breakfast. It is a short drive north to Bryce Canyon and short drive south to Grand Staircase Escalante and Kodachrome Basin. There are several places to eat in Tropic that were good, and another steak house in the next town our hosts recommended! Our hosts, David and Alice, were perfect hosts. They made us feel so welcome and were very knowledgeable about the area. The breakfasts were amazing as well. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this place!

We loved our stay with Alice and David (and the animals ... especially Wilbur the llama). Their place offers privacy (separate entrances), convenience/ideal location (just outside of "downtown" Tropic, 10 min drive to the entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park), and quality (clean room, with an AMAZING sky view from the porch/patio -- note: David is an amateur astronomer ... bonus). BUT, the best reason to stay here is the breakfast -- wow! The absolute best scones I have ever had in my entire life, pancakes with homemade peach preserves, a local farm veggie frittata - deliciousness.

Alice and David are the sweetest! Alice makes the best breakfast we ever had! The view and the night sky is the best in Bryce Canyon! We truly enjoyed our stay there. They also gave us great tips for our trip! You won’t regret staying here! We miss Maggie (their dog) already!!!

Friendly welcome by Alice and David. Coffee available anytime. A common refrigerator for guests is in the dining area. A porch goes all around for sitting and enjoying the views. Rooms are large and decorated in a southwest decor. A horse, burro, llama, dog and cats are on site for animal lovers to enjoy. Only the dog and cats are inside :-) We had two tasty breakfasts there. It is a short drive to Bryce Canyon National Park. We stayed there mid October and were there the last week they were open for the season. We had a nice and enjoyable stay.

We had a fabulous stay with Alice and David. The room was large with a huge and comfortable bed, and lovely common area for guests with tv and fridge, and breakfasts were delicious and cooked to order. Being just 10 minutes drive to the amazing Bryce Canyon made it a perfect place to stay for exploring this amazing area. Highly recommended!! 😁

We chose Buffalo Sage because of other reveiwers’ comments about the view and were not disappointed. The bed and breakfast sits on top of a hill with expansive views in every direction. No need to go further than the deck to enjoy the night sky! We also enjoyed the huge, delicious breakfast, feeding the animals, the spacious, clean room with comfy bed and terrific shower, the excellent hospitality and recommendations of David and Alice, the innkeepers, and the proximity to Bryce Canyon. If we are lucky enough to return to the area we will definitely choose Buffalo Sage.

Alice and David made us feel at home from the start. The room was large and very comfortable with two queen beds and lots of hanging space. There is TV and Wi-fi and outside seating on the balcony. There is also a large shared lounge area and a shared guest fridge there.||Breakfasts were superb with everything home made from local produce and it was nice to talk to the other guests round the table.||The accommodation is one mile north of Tropic and about 6 miles from the turning into Bruce canyon NP. We highly recommend this as a place to stay in the area.

This B and B is all alone on top of a hill with the most amazing 360 views. The sunrise is right out the window or you can sit on the porch and see it come up. Dave is very knowledgable about the stars and brought us out to the porch at night and pointed out planets and constellations. Unfortunately, the moon was not right for us to see the milky way, but at the new moon, you can see it. Alice made a wonderful breakfast that was delicious, and if you like animals, Zoe the Lab is game for photos.

Yelp
I found this place sort of last minute, originally I wanted a place as close to the Bryce Canyon as possible, but my trip was last minute and cannot find one that can accommodate our date. Alice and David is welcoming. Zoe the yellow lab is my favorite, she is so friendly and just wanted to play ball. Very nice view from the B & B. It is only 15 minutes drive to Bryce Canyon so it is not too bad at all. Homemade breakfast is very filling and the scone is amazing. Only thing I am not crazy is the noise from my next door neighbor. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything. I ended up taking a sleeping aid to get myself to sleep. Overall, it is not a bad place if you are out hiking all day and then just wanted a place to sleep.

Yelp
Staying here is like visiting your aunt and uncle that you have not seen since the last family wedding. Alice and David, the owners welcome you like family. Zoe, the yellow lab even greets you at the door and chatting on the deck overlooking the valley is the favorite pastime. Alice makes some of the best breakfast that I have ever had. Scones and pancakes are incredible. We were there during a full moon but for stargazing, this place cannot be beat as there are no lights for miles around. Five stars for value, breakfast and the view. Homey and welcoming after a long day of hiking in Bryce Canyon.

Yelp
Very misleading. A B&B is supposed to be fancier than your home, a treat. This felt like sleeping in your Aunt Mables spare room for a lot of money. The hosts were friendly but to be honest their home was messy cluttered and full of cats. In fact our "gourmet "breakfast had hair in it and we couldn't eat it. The dog barked at you while you were eating and begged for food. Very uncomfortable. Also the side of the home was full of junk and debris. If you are going to run a proffesional business it must be clean and well maintained. Very disappointing.

Yelp
The Buffalo Sage Bed & Breakfast is an incredible place to stay. The breakfasts were without a doubt gourmet quality. Not only was the breakfast large, the taste and variety was delicious. The room was very clean and the hosts, David and Alice were incredible hosts. They were both very informative about the area, and about astronomy. The views of the night sky from the wrap around deck was spectacular. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more. I highly recommend staying at the Buffalo Sage. You won't regret it. Five stars for every aspect of our stay. We'd give it more stars if we could.
