Buffalo Steakhaus

We’ve wrapped up our South America trip and are on our way home, with a stopover in Frankfurt for the night. Discovered a hidden gem of a steakhouse specializing in Argentinian beef! If you’re not a beef eater, the options are a bit limited, but I managed to find a few good alternatives. The beef was perfectly cooked, and we couldn’t resist adding their signature burger steak—it was excellent. Thankfully, we arrived early and managed to get a table, which had to be vacated by 8 pm. Definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. Service was made even more enjoyable by our wonderful Italian waiter, who brought genuine warmth to the experience!

Steak, especially sirloin medium cooked was legendary, comes just a bit bloddy, yummy. Service was nice and fast, employees are friendly. Tomato soup was super, and don't you underestimate their garlic bread 🤌🏽

I visited for lunch without making a reservation, but the staff kindly guided me. The steak was tender and really delicious! I ordered potatoes and corn as side dishes, and both were delicious. I think it would be better if the potatoes were a little warmer. The bread and spicy sauce are really delicious. It was a satisfying meal with good taste and atmosphere.

I had a great lunch at Buffalo Steakhaus! Definitely one of the best restaurants in Europe. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sauce was incredibly good. All the staff were so lovely and welcoming. Thank you — I’ll be back soon!

In my opinion the best value for money steak house in Frankfurt. Usually we order 600g ribeye and never got disappointed. Quality very good and cooked perfectly to preference. Crust is a little crunchy, not sure whether they use a little rub. Good choice of sides. We like the grilled bell peppers. Staff friendly and not pushy. Prices, considering the location, super fair.

One of the best steaks of my life. It was tender, juicy, and tasty. Heads up, you need a reservation in advance, but we managed to get a table for two without a reservation.

Tried their Marinated rib eye (250g) medium with corn on the cob, was really nice 🤤 The appetiser bread and the spicy beef sauce was nice, but really spicy for me 🌶️🌶️ 配麵包的那個辣醬好吃但真的辣 It’s better to have reservation; or else it would be a long wait

Food quality great overall. Would recommend for those that are used to American medium to get medium well. My steak was a bit more on the medium rare side; tasted great just different cooking styles. Service was amazing and the restaurant was hidden so it gave a bit more privacy. Pups welcome - which was nice for us. Some people may not like it but it was a pleasant experience for us.

Best steak in Frankfurt, the spicy sauce makes the steak even better. Always perfectly cooked, visited Frankfurt 3 times have been here 4 times. Highly recommend

Definitely my favorite steakhouse in Frankfurt! A lot of people seem to agree too as it's always crowded when we go. The wait staff are so friendly that they always accommodate us even without reservations. Ultimately, the star in this review is their fabulous steak. By default it is cooked medium, which is perfectly pink if you let it rest a little - which I must say is torturous as you can smell the beefy grilled goodness from a mile away. It is also so perfectly seasoned, no "steak sauce" is necessary at all. I like my food spicy and their homemade hot sauce/salsa is a fave! It tastes a little weird at first if you try to eat it with the free bread slices that it comes with, but with the steak, the combination is divine!!! Pair it woth buttered, seasoned, and grillef corn on a cob and you'll have a glorious meal.

I called at 5pm on a Thursday to make reservations, and although they were fully booked for the evening, the manager said he could squeeze us in at 6:45 until 8pm. I hadn't had a proper meal all day, and after reading all the reviews, I was very looking forward to eating here. I ordered the marinated rib-eye, corn on a cob, and a baked potato with sour cream. I'm from California and I've dined at pretty much every high end steak house there is. If there was a Mastros or Flemings next door to Buffalo steakhouse, I would have chosen Buffalo. It was amazing. I've also been to the best steakhouses in Buenos Aires and this was just as good, if not better. I'm very happy they made room for us to dine. This review is fully deserved. Two thumbs up!

This place had a really bad attitude towards my friend and I. When we arrived a waiter greeted us. While asking us how many we were, we got interrupted by people behind us that, apparently, were more important to deal with. Then we got seated at a table, where the staff constantly had to move in and out between my chair and the supply of salt and pepper. We got our food with drinks and wine. Food was okay but nothing special. After we had eaten, we were told that our section of restaurant had to close down. Moved to the next room. Then we went for a cig outside. At 2220 the waiter comes out to tell us that the last customers, besides us, were leaving. Hence they had decided to close everything 40 minutes prior to advertised closing time, which according to google and website is 2300. In all a really bad experience. Rude crew, so so food and total disrespect. Never again. Nein danke.

Stopped here for dinner in Frankfurt. Great Argentine style steak. I had the ribeye and do did the son. Grilled corn on the cob was excellent. Overall very good dining experience. If you're looking for a decent steak in Frankfurt, this is where you need to go.

Well. This is not what you'd expect to read, considering all the other reviews... but hear me out... Very first time here, was exited to have a steak. But the service experience was truly disappointing. One hour before closure, we were forced to move table, as one section of the restaurant was closing... fair enough. Can live with that. Half an hour before official closing time(23:00) , we were kicked out of the restaurant, and I quote "sorry guys, everyone has left the restaurant, and we are closing now" and left we did. Basically we had a full glass to drink, when this information was passed. Just my two cents, I dont think you should treating paying customers like this. Especially when the restaurant is officially still open for half an hour more. I definitely won't be coming back here.

Not that good as many review said. Steak is juice and delicious, recommend medium level but too salty. Space in restaurant is too tight. Service is bad for asian. for me, I'm not going again.

The. Best. Steak. We were only in Frankfurt for 2 nights but ate here for both of them! Amazing food, big steaks, great potatoes and the salad was crisp and cold. Great atmosphere too. A must for a tasty meal.

it is a lovely place with amazing food. we have fillet steak with special potato which was so great. all the staffs are so friendly. you feel so comfortable in this place. definitely, we will go back to this restaurant in ou next visit to Frankfurt.

Nice atmosphere, very nice service, the order came out very fast, I ordered Calamari as a starter which was delicious and 400g Fillet as the Main Dish which was excelente. The place was busy in that evening and looks professional.

If you're looking for a great steak in Frankfurt- look no further. I'm from the U.S. and I have to say this is one of the best steaks I've ever had. Tender, quality meat and good service! They do accept credit cards but they have an old machine that requires you to engrave the card into a paper. So, if you have a credit card that does not have 3D numbers- bring cash!

Fabulous steak - sirloin, rib eye - you name it. Locals proclaim this officially the city's best slab of cow and I can see why! For around 20 euros you can get melt-in-your-mouth flavorful tenderness, seasoned and grilled to your liking. Something of this quality would easily run you 45 in a white table cloth steak place. They grill it exactly how you want it, German precision at it's finest. I believe this calls for more German chefs in the (steak)haus! The waiter was exceedingly helpful and service was very quick. The other qualities of the restaurant were negligible - the simple decor and the fact that nothing is overpriced helps feature their *prime* asset. The salad that I had with my meal and the side salad ordered by our lovely host/companion both had this strange creamy cocktail sauce slathered onto it, which I found pleasant in taste but slightly overpowering in quantity and certainly now what I expected on what I envisioned to be a healthier, lighter green salad. We would have gone back the next day but for the fact that it is closed on Sundays. But we almost stayed until Monday just for that steak. Ja, das ist gut.

I'm strongly recommend it. Very good Chef and nice Staff. The quality of food so high. Usually full of tables from 6pm to 7pm. Manger of Rest. can accept customers between 4-6pm.

This is one of the BEST steakhouse I have been to in Germany! Better than any other steakhouse any day. Very homey not a chain feel like other steak houses. Steak was grilled to perfection cut like butter.

Had big expectations based on reviews, but left with a huge led down. Came at 10pm (1 hour before close) and was refused by very impolite host, who said kitchen was closed even though there were guests in the house and steaks on the grill. Probably good food, but service is horrible.

This place is quite hidden, I discovered this gem on Google maps while shopping. Being a tourist I try to rely on reviews. Beer was great, steak was delicious, fries were delicious, ice cream and strawberry desert was outstanding. It was so good I decided to take another 2 hour train ride to Frankfurt to eat here the day before coming back to America. Wish I knew what that spicy spread for the bread was! Hope to be back next summer.

One of the best steaks I have had lately. There were 4 of us and we all got the ribeyes which were well marbeled and had a great flavor. Definitely going back here

I went to Buffalo for my birthday dinner last night. The filet was cooked to perfection. They cook all of their steaks "medium". I ordered the baked potato as a side and it was cooked really well as well. It comes with a heaping serving of sour cream, so be prepared for that. Overall it was a really good meal with a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this location if you are in Frankfurt.

Best steaks I have ever had and an excuse to stay for dinner whenever visiting Frankfurt, but you have to excuse that this is not a five star location or service, but the steaks....

Reservation was canceled for no reason so we have to seat at other people's table. Three euro were charged for simple glass of hot water, the most expensive in the whole world. Steak were OK for the price. Service was poor consider the price they charge. We will never go back again. I wonder how they get four stars of all the restaurants in Frankfurt.

The very best steaks in Frankfurt and perhaps in Hessen! Unfortunately Binding beer but some very nice red wines instead! Service is good, quick and friendly. No, it's not cheap but if it was, the meat wouldn't taste sooo good!!

I always try to come here whenever I visit Frankfurt. The service is impeccable and the meats are fantastic. It's often hard to get good steak in Europe ( I guess the cows aren't as fatty) but the meat here is amazing. Always try and make a reservation or go early or late as they are almost always busy on every day of the week. It's also a little hidden so you may have to be patient when going there for first time. But it will be worth the hassle.

Buff. Every banker and broker in Frankfurt knows them well. Excellent steaks, good red wines, crap service, ugly ambiance. That's it in a nutshell. The brusk service is part of the show. Fact is, the steaks are always spot-on perfect which excuses everything else. As much as I think the new owner (Junior) is a bit of a twerp, fact is they have the best steaks in Frankfurt.

BEST steak ever! Other than that, it's nothing exceptional. Restaurant is NOT air conditioned, so be aware. Service is pretty slow. Staff was congenial for the most part.

Excellent steaks grilled to perfection!! Amazing quality of the meat! You don't need a knife so tender it is! And the sides hmmm the corn is well grilled and their homemade bbq sauce is a dream! Absolutely the first address to go to for a steak! I'd go so far as to say best in town!

Our first dinner in Frankfurt.Food is ok for the price. However, the waiter told us service charge was not included when he gave us bill. We gave 10 euro as tip, but we wonder if tip is complimentary in Germany or was it because we are foreigners?

We found this restaurant on Lonely Planet and we had an excellent experience at the restaurant. I ordered a medium done fillet steak and it was fabulously cooked as the book described. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes steak because it's the best steak I've ever had.
