I was really looking forward to enjoying a nice specialty coffee, but the experience was quite disappointing. I fully respect that every coffee shop has its own standards and philosophy, but I believe respecting the customer’s personal preference should also be part of good service.
I asked for my coffee extra hot, simply because that’s how I like it, but instead of accommodating, I got a long explanation about why they “don’t do that.” The same happened when I asked for sugar — they told me they don’t offer any, which I can accept, but when I used a small packet I had in my bag, the barista made me feel like I was doing something terribly wrong.
It’s not just about coffee — it’s about kindness and hospitality. There’s a big difference between caring about quality and making customers feel judged for having different tastes. I left feeling really uncomfortable, when all I wanted was to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee.
A real shame, because the place has potential — they just need to balance their passion for coffee with a little more warmth and openness.
