Fantastic coffee. It was mesmerising watching the barista work- that was an experience in itself. I had an after-lunch pourover, as recommended by some reviewers, and it was a good choice. The barista gave the option of "fruity" or "nutty". A haven for coffee lovers. **I'm not posting photos of the cups of coffee because hey- you've got to be there for the experience!

The coffee is truly one of the best I have had. For those of you who needs to have Cappuccino after 11 am but too scared to order, just order “flat white”🤪 It achieves your needs of getting milky coffee and at the same time, no Italians are offended.❤️

A small coffee shop on the main street of Città Alta, serving the best coffee you can find in Bergamo. The baristas know exactly what they’re doing — they don’t just make coffee, they live it, knowing every bean inside and out. And on top of that, they’re incredibly nice and welcoming. If you’re looking for high-quality third-wave coffee, a delicious croissant, and a splendid moment with a perfect cup in your hand, Bugan is the place for you.

One of the best speciality coffee shops I have been in Italy!!! You can talk it is a good place by the methods that they offer alone, then the actual coffee is just… well… that speaks for itself. The shop is a lovely, quiet, open and bright shop, utilising the La Marzocco mod bar coffee machine set up as well as offering cold brew, drip and… and… the pressurised mokka pot which I wish I’d have tried as it’s the first place I’ve seen it on offer even though I was aware of it already. The barista that was on was extremely knowledgable and passionate about coffee and the processes, the actual coffee process from plant to roast to serve, we had a lovely chat! I would definitely recommend that anyone who is into coffee stops by Bugan, you won’t be disappointed.

I haven’t had such a good espresso in a long time! The flavor was rich, perfectly balanced, and truly memorable. They have a great variety of coffee beans to choose from, and I was so impressed that I even bought some to enjoy at home. Highly recommend this place to any coffee lover!

I was really looking forward to enjoying a nice specialty coffee, but the experience was quite disappointing. I fully respect that every coffee shop has its own standards and philosophy, but I believe respecting the customer’s personal preference should also be part of good service. I asked for my coffee extra hot, simply because that’s how I like it, but instead of accommodating, I got a long explanation about why they “don’t do that.” The same happened when I asked for sugar — they told me they don’t offer any, which I can accept, but when I used a small packet I had in my bag, the barista made me feel like I was doing something terribly wrong. It’s not just about coffee — it’s about kindness and hospitality. There’s a big difference between caring about quality and making customers feel judged for having different tastes. I left feeling really uncomfortable, when all I wanted was to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee. A real shame, because the place has potential — they just need to balance their passion for coffee with a little more warmth and openness.

We tried their filter coffees from Ethiopia, Peru, and Kenya, along with a cappuccino and everything was fantastic. Each cup was full of rich flavors and perfectly brewed. The service was outstanding too, the staff clearly know their craft and were super friendly and helpful. If you’re in Bergamo and love good coffee, Bugan Coffee Lab is a must-visit. As a non coffee drinker, the cappuccio(coffee with milk) made me believe the slogan of no sugar in my coffee, delicious coffee, amazing service and a very cozy atmosphere
