Absolutely delicious! This place is an absolute gem in Québec City. The bagels were incredibly tasty, the prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming. The people working there were genuinely kind and friendly. We even took some pictures because everything looked as good as it tasted! We truly believe we resolved our morning with the perfect breakfast spot. To all tourists coming to Québec: this is the place you must try for breakfast. Highly recommended — 10/10 experience!

Google
Stopped by Bugel Fabrique de Bagels in the afternoon and was pleasantly surprised! Even after lunch hours, the bagels were fresh and tasty. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, which made the visit all the more enjoyable. A great spot for a late bite or a casual coffee break. Highly recommend!

Google
Nothing crazy as we thought, after seeing many videos online. Our bagels were very hard to chew & sandwiches needed more flavour. Service is a bit slow even if the sitting area is small. A bit pricey for what it is.

Google
OMG, what a hidden gem! I absolutely adored every bite of my bagel. We tried four different ones, and they were all amazing. This place is a must-visit!

Google
The staff was very polite, the cheeses and bagels were delicious and nice.

Google
Small cafe in a residential neighbourhood. Wasn't sure about it at first. But very glad we didn't let the initial impression of the location stop us from walking in. Wow! Friendly staff and the bagels... Let's say I can never eat it with just butter again!!! Must try.. You will not be disappointed. Also try their homemade jam...unbelievably good! Looks like ketchup but tastes nothing like it! Also you will see an ode the Lord of the Rings with subtle artwork all around.

Google
Got Le Poissin & Le Provençal and a cappuccino. They were amazing 🤩🥳 Salad dressing and jam were unique. Bagels were toasted to perfection and tasted so good. Also, very aesthetic plate arrangement. Bagel meals were slightly on the pricey for me but no regrets. Server was very nice.

Yelp
We came here for brunch and the experience was lovely. Staffs were wonderful and the bagels were delicious! I love my smoked meat sandwich and organic orange-mango juice! Would recommended.

Yelp
This bagel is awesome and yummy!! I ate bagels by eyes, mouth and was moved by their attendant service! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
They make awesome bagels here! They do a great job with presentation as well. Plus, it's a cute area to dine in and the atmosphere is nice. This was part of a mad dash to try as much QC food as possible before our approaching flight out of the city. Service was good and it didn't take long thankfully. We both enjoyed the bagels immensely. The lox and cream cheese also were fantastic. Would definitely stop back in if I'm back in QC. This was in Feb 2020, right before covid so things may have changed.

Yelp
This is a cute smallish bengals cafe. The bagels are somewhere between a Montreal style bagel and a New York style bagel. Sesame is the best. I had the petite dejeuner which is a bagel, a spread, and fruit. You get several kinds of fruit and a homemade jam which varies daily. Hubby had the bircher meuseli (however I did not spell that correctly). The portion is huge-a must have is you are planning a trek up Mt Royal park! All meals come with coffee and you can upgrade to a latte with your choice of milk. Place is small but service is fast and friendly. Worth the wait.

Yelp
I liked coming here, almost just to verify that ALL bagels are created equal once you step outside of the USA. And yes, they are slim and somewhat crunchy (it gets time getting used to it). I got an amazing breakfast, very well balanced and tasty, with a cup of coffee that is actually refillable. The breakfast was a Quebecois version of a trucker's meal, for those in the USA, but with a very European inspired twist: jams, cheese, delicious veggies. Sorry Joe Trucker, get fancy on this! Truly delectable. The space is smallish but you'll get a table, things do slow down considerably here, although there are some people who come to grab and go. It is an interesting place to sit for a bit despite the tiredness that lingers... ah! the sun will shine tomorrow...

Yelp
We were a group of 4 on a Sunday morning. When we got there we were able to get seated outside on the charming outdoor terrace right before a handful of other customers walked in. It took a noticeable amount of time before someone came to take our order but the issue wasn't that. The issue was the amount of time it took for us to get our order. I don't recall exactly, but it took nearly an hour for us to get food from the time we arrived. Thankfully the food was super fresh and tasty; definitely worth the wait. The service was friendly too. The only downside was the excessively long wait.

Yelp
A total hidden gem of a spot, the food here was scrumptious. I had a bagel with ham and mustard. If you come after 10, am you might have to wait. Service is great and can be a bit slower, but highly worth it.

Yelp
This place is super cute! The service was great, and the food was amazing! We had the salmon bagels and they were to die for, 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Sat down, got our orders taken... and that's essentially the last time we saw our server. 40 mins later, after the table next to us - who arrived after we did - FINISHED their meal, is when I finally decided to ask what happened to our orders. In all fairness, the waitress I asked was not the waitress who took our orders and the only excuse provided was that there was one cook. ...on a Sunday morning, a bagel place, and you only have ONE person cooking? Poor planning, poor service and just average bagels. Will not be returning and advise against coming here if you have other options.

Pooria G.

Yelp
The food here was good but we didn't enjoy it because the staff was so rude and impolite. I don't know why they exactly were being so rude maybe because we weren't local I don't know. Parking also is a big hassle and barely could be found. Will never go back.

Sherif L.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast and lunch place. Had the most delicious bagel/egg combination called the poussin, which was a great combination of toasted bagel, cheese, ham and an over easy egg. There are other bagel, egg, meat combinations and meals and soups so there should be something for everyone. Everyone was extremely friendly and while there was a wait to sit and a little bit of a wait for the food I would say it was absolutely worth it. Highly recommended for a quaint, delicious, breakfast/lunch spot.
google avatar

Charmaine L.

Yelp
Small and cozy atmosphere, servers are very helpful and friendly. Bagels there are great! I like the most is smoked salmon bagel dish with chai tea latte with soy milk, the best combo for brunch. Of cuz, vegetarian choices are great too! It's definitely recommended

Yelp
We told our service we looked you guys on Yelp and it seems you're highly recommended. We are excited to be here, she said welcome we are the best. I loved the attitude and you know what this breakfast totally backed her up on her bold statement. IT WAS SO DELICIOUS! Take a look at the picture attached. It's going to say everything else and then some. Go there. Have their breakfast, enjoy.

Yelp
Very pleasant staff, attentive service and quality bagels and meals. The long espresso was delicious, as the fresh fruit that accompanied the meals. The pecan sugar tarte was incredible. A very nice surprise after a few bad meal experiences in QC. A definite gem!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my breakfast here, and I was afraid of the reviews that claimed they were not American friendly. They weren't friendly in general, but I didn't get a sense they were rude. It is CASH ONLY, which sucks, but luckily someone in our group was able to cover for us. The restaurant is not big, but we were able to fit our family of 5. I think all of us enjoyed our breakfasts, and the bagels were great too. The dishes had a great balance of salad and fruit, which is nice to have during traveling. Worth a stop if you are in Quebec, just make sure you have cash!

Yelp
This place is outside of touristic area, very cozy and good food. People are not in a rush here, if you are starving and want a quick serve, skip this place. They offer more relax experience where you can grab your newspaper or book, enjoy your coffee while they are preparing your food. Be patient you Americans:)
google avatar

Yelp
Outstanding bagels. Coming from New York, I was very impressed with how good the bagels were. Small but cozy venue. Highly recommend for a low key breakfast. Will be back.

Yelp
It wasn't until our last day of vacation until we stumbled upon this place.... we wish had found it earlier! The place itself is small but they make it work. The server was quite helpful with guiding us on the menu and switching or adding items. As a breakfast lover, I can be very judgmental with breakfast food but I was pleased on all aspects of the food. I had the Le Poussin végétarian au chèvre I thought it was amazing. The veggie spread was amazing and the bagel was perfectly soft. With an egg perfectly cooked on time. I had some of my boyfriends sandwich his was the same as mine but instead of the veggie added turkey and wow the turkey was fresh and also delicious. Overall we enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Very cute little bagel/breakfast shop! Lots of options, great coffee shop atmosphere and friendly staff! I had a bagel sandwich with ham and cheese lettuce tomato mayo and cream cheese- and it was GREAT! My husband had the poppyseed bagel with homemade peach preserves which he said was decent ( I think he wished he would have gotten a sandwich like me ) Overall great little gem off the beaten path of Quebec City!
google avatar

Hector C.

Yelp
Breakfast menu items come with fresh fruits and long expresso which are awesome. Nice service but a bit slow and coffee came out first so when the bagels arrived the coffee cooled down. In general, everything is great! Great bagels, great service.
google avatar

Raj W.

Yelp
Very cute place for breakfast or brunch. Impressive healthy, organic, home grown menu. Their bagel is the best I have ever eaten. Came in crappy, leaving very, full and happy. Lol!

Yelp
A great little place outside of the old city. The waitstaff were attentative and patient with my monolingual family. We came in to get a dozen bagels and could see a sandwich being assembled that made me have to sit around and "eat in". Brie, apples, pecans and honey mustard- it was a little slice of heaven. Come in and check this little cafe out, but beware. It's small and would likely fill quickly on the weekend. Its definately worth the wait though!

Yelp
This place does not disappoint! This time i came here for a late lunch, around 2:15, and they were still busy. Another three groups walked in for lunch and just like last time a lot of customers came in to buy their bagels. This time i had their smoke turkey and curry mayo bagel and a raspberry lemonade . Both very good!!! The bagel is served with a green salad and a delicious dijon mustard/sesame seed vinaigrette! The service was great too! Seriously try this place!!!

Yelp
We found this place because it was the closest to where we were staying in the city and had a nice uphill (up stairs) walk to it. It is small and cute but packed with people and the food is super yummy and the staff is extremely nice. We got a lot of coffee hot drops throughout too! The local vegi pate is amazing too. Highly recommend! Even our 4 year old loved it!
google avatar

Yelp
I sat on a church pew here to eat my bagel topped with melted brie, a veggie spread, pecans, and apples. It was quite good and came with potato salad and a regular dressed salad. The kids had bagels with scrambled eggs and suisse. The husband's bagel included scrambled eggs and the veggie spread. This place definitely had a locals vibe.
google avatar

Yelp
We enjoyed it so much we went twice. They have simple and delicious food. The service was perfectly acceptable - never rude as some reviews have suggested. The place is on the small side but we had no issues getting a seat on a Monday and Tuesday morning.
google avatar

Sammi H.

Yelp
First of all, I don't understand the hype of the place at all. The food is just OKAY. That is it. Creative? I don't think so, you can find similar restaurants in many cities. Tasty? Nah...my bagel did not taste fresh(I don't know it was fresh or not, but it did not taste like a fresh one). You know...it is not soft and chewy. Ok now on to service. The lady who works there was not so nice. I almost thought that we were at the restaurant before her morning coffee. You know that look, right?! You can tell that if she could refuse to answer your questions, she would absolutely do it. She has the oh gosh another English-speaking person kind of look. For those reasons, I will not recommend this place to others.
google avatar

Marguerite M.

Yelp
The bagels are solid and the service was good. Came here to emphasize that they DON'T ACCEPT AMERICAN CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS. If you try to pay they will send you out into the cold 3 blocks away to use the ATM, so bring cash. Really irritating. Again, bagels and service solid. Only place in Canada I haven't been allowed to use my card.
google avatar

Eric H.

Yelp
A guy recently left a comment about a woman at the register being rude. The guy was not wrong. We asked if they spoke English in French before ordering as well. Gave it 2 stars because we thought the bagels were actually really good. The woman needs to find a new job. We also got charged ".50" extra for what appears no reason. I would recommend you to avoid this place.
google avatar

Sonal B.

Yelp
Again- what's up with coffee being bad across Quebec? I ordered the bagel and egg plate. All in all edible with the bagel being exceptionally chewy not in a good way. Nothing to write home about though! The veggie spread is a good concept but not well executed.
google avatar

Yelp
Well this appears to be the closest outlet for Montreal bagels to old Quebec City. If I am incorrect someone please post otherwise as it would be great to know where else you can buy these bagels in bulk! I love Montreal bagels! Last time I went to Montreal all I brought home was 4 dozen bagels (fyi you can cut them in half and freeze to enjoy later!!). I assumed Quebec City tourist area would have abundance of these bagels..not so. We had petit dejuner with sesame bagel, egg, cheese, vegetable pate (omg I love this stuff) and a little fruit. And long espresso. Very tasty but a little on the small side and seemed a little overpriced $10 for the meal when you know 1 bulk bagel is $1. Having said that it was all so tasty and the vegetable pate is like crack I would pay again in a heartbeat. In fact will stop by on my last day day here to stock up on bagels for home! Yeah Montreal bagels!
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
The food was amazing and I would definitely come back. They have a lot of things to choose for vegetarians. The staff is very nice and tried their best to speak English to us. The only thing is that they do not accept American debit cards or credit cards which means you have to bring cash. I had to wait inside while my friend went out and found an atm so we could pay in cash.
google avatar

Sheila L.

Yelp
Not good service. I wished I can give them -10. Have been waited for 1 hour and other customers after us came in already got their order. The waiter just look at our table without asked.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Good place for breakfast. Gets busy so get there early or at an off time. The bagels were good but we're spoiled from New York bagels, and Quebec bagels don't have the same chewiness or crusty exterior. But they were fine nonetheless. We kept it simple with toasted bagels with butter, cream cheese and jam. The jam has the consistency of apple sauce and is not overly sweet. We liked it. I had scrambled eggs with mine, which were pretty good. The restaurant is cute and worth a visit.

Yelp
Probably the worst brunch experience I had in Quebec. I went there twice for brunch and couldn't have imagined such a bad service. Standing in front of the cashier for 10 minutes with no one welcoming us. Once we got our table, we've been told that it was too late to order brunch (at 2:10 pm when brunches are over at 2:00 pm). Never got my glass of water and service was rude every time we asked for coffee. Do not know if the fact that being a visible minority helped our case. Food was ok but do not expect something different than any other bagel place. They are also picky about payment methods, no cards accepted when we went there. I do not recommend this place.
google avatar

Diego R.

Yelp
How is the food in Quebec so good? Found this place on Yelp and as usual, you did not steer me wrong. I don't remember the names of what we had but one was an open faced breakfast bagel with a vegetable spread that was to die for and the other had a spicy tomato sauce, salami, and kalamata olives making this an awesome brunch. Even the coffee was delicious. This is the type of place I would go out of my way to go back to if I am in Quebec City again. Service was also very friendly and the decor was cute.
google avatar

Sai P.

Yelp
We had breakfast bagels, too heavy for us though with orange juice, Long wait to get these in the morning though. Worth the wait for once to try
google avatar

Aimee H.

Yelp
NOT American friendly. Rude, bad service and they were laughing at us for being American. Don't go. The food wasn't even good. Only place on Quebec that has not treated us well. Disappointing.
google avatar

Christina D.

Yelp
Delicious food and nice waitress, despite the fact that we could not speak French. I had a latte and a delicious bagel topped with ham, tomatoes, cheese and asparagus. I would highly recommend this little restaurant, our entire experience here was very pleasant.
google avatar

Matthew L.

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast/lunch. The smoked salmon bagel was delicious, as was the breakfast bagel with their veggie patty. Go get you a bagel
google avatar

K B.

Yelp
Had no idea what to expect but went here to get off of the tourist track, and I was delighted to find open-faced bagel halves covered in delicious toppings baked to a nice golden crisp, along with a side salad (I got mine to go). Like other reviewers mentioned, they don't take credit cards (though apparently it's just US ones), so bring cash if you don't have a Canadian-issued card.
google avatar

Shashank K.

Yelp
Mouth watering bagels, easily giving Montreal a run for their money. Small and pretty looking food joint in a quiet neighborhood with a wife variety of bagel preparations to choose from. They do their coffees and juices pretty well too. Easily a must visit for every Quebec trip!
google avatar

Afsheen M.

Yelp
Good breakfast. Very fresh yummy sesame seed bagels that had chewy great texture. Lots of options for vegetarians which was a plus for us. Order the "Sauvigne"- interesting find with pecans cranberries and a whole whack of other stuff. I also got the smoked salmon bagel- good standard fare!
google avatar

Louise G.

Yelp
Searched for a brunch place online, and this did not disappoint! By the time we got here we weren't sure we wanted breakfast or lunch but luckily there were options for both. We opted for the lunch options that come with a delicious green salad and mini orzo salad with grilled asparagus. My partner had the Sarza and I had the Brie Fondant; both were amazingly delicious. We weren't sure whether to order the full or demi bagel, but turns out the demi was plenty. :) Service was attentive and pleasant. No complaints. People are constantly wandering in and out through the lunch hour to get take out bagels, or stay for a meal. They also seem to make a steady business in coffee and cakes! Definitely recommended as a brunch spot for a small groups, lunch, or even just a coffee break.

Tom N.

Yelp
When my wife & I went to pay, the owner(?) -an older lady- stated her machine did not accept "American visa " debit cards, only Canadian Visa cards.. hmmm.. She insisted we pay cash & she would charge 10% or we could walk down a ways in the snow to an ATM to get Canadian cash. Our bill was $31.04 (CAD). I did the conversion & we should only have paid $22.96 (US). She demanded we pay $31.04 (US). Don't expect to pay with US dollars and get an accurate exchange rate paying cash here.
google avatar

bryn j.

Yelp
Bring Cash! Or Canadian debit cards - just a heads-up, U.S. debit cards don't work. Otherwise, an excellent place. Outstanding bagels, unique dishes, tasty food. The staff are fantastic - friendly and not overbearing. Highly recommended!

tony C.

Yelp
Our bagel open face sandwiches were toasted and flavored perfectly...crispy and chewy, like a good toasted bagel should be. And our server was incredibly polite and helpful.

Anthony Q.

Yelp
I came in today to find out that they only accepted cash. One of the workers pointed me to the direction of one. I went and came back to order to go. Upon reaching the cashier to order, the male worker (not sure if he was the manager) told the same person that pointed me to the atm that they no longer accepted orders. The reasoning was that they have too many orders... I left angrily holding my tongue. I am an American Chinese and makes me wonder if this played a role in denying me service. This is my experience and hopefully it won't be the same for you if you do decide to try this place.

Vijayesh N.

Yelp
Love their bagels. It is a small but homely place. Great service, great food! Our table ordered the grand dejenuer and another dish (can't remember the name) that had ham, egg, cream cheese on a bagel.
