This is a relaxed and welcoming hostel where you can stay in the house or outside in bamboo huts. It feels like you're staying at someone's home. It's very clean and well maintained. There are two to three dogs here that are friendly and cute. You can do your washing or pay to have it done and of course there are bikes to hire. You can also use the kitchen facilities to make your own food. There are good cafes and local street food very close by. We took a fantastic tour to the Camotes islands with wonderful guides who totally took care of use and showed us the most interesting sites.

I hope I can do this justice. You need to be brave to leave the protected bubble you've lived in, and travel, to a different time and place. Where there's family, actually families, like a village, always someone to help or to play with. Nieces, uncles, aunties, brothers, wives, husbands and sons. Have I forgetten anyone? Oh yes the dogs that are our door bell, security at home, and our guides and escorts into town. You might hear a pretty call center worker in smooth and gentle English, help clients in America with their medications. Maybe schools online today, because tremors mean the buildings must be tested, so kids are dressed for school at their computers, until things are made safe again. It's a hostel, for locals and true adventurers, for bikers, and the budget conscious. Hell, there's a bike workshop there, and e-bikes, mtbs, fat tyre bikes, road bikes, even bamboo bikes. And someone that can fix them all, and ride like the wind. Laundry, little clothes mending, many meals a-cookin. Drinks on the patio, smoke there if you want; "...but please not in the huts, they are made of wood and we'd like to keep them". An adventurous soul, came half way round the world by bike, and made this place, Bugoy Bikers Hostel. Be surrounded by love, life and the "Pilipino" way? Oh and there's a nice bamboo shower.

Very nice immersive experience in the heart of the jungle, at the same time in the heart of the city center of Cebu. Much recommended.

I did not stay at the hostel, but had the pleasure of going on a bike tour up to Tops at the top of Busay mountain. Diego, my tour guide, was an incredible dude. He also gave me a ride back to the condo I was staying at after we returned. It was a tough and sweaty ride to the top, but it was so rewarding when you get up there, see the view, and know what you accomplished! I would highly recommend their bike tours. Also, Jens who was my main point of communication leading up to the tour, was an extremely helpful source of information as a first time traveler to the Philippines. Pedal power! 💪🏻

I've actually stayed here from December 6th to 9th 2024. It seems like the place has seen better days. The garden was completely miss cared, the toilet is not very good, and I've got no recommendations for bike tours or anything else... The owner wasn't there during my stay.

The bugoy bikers hostel is one of the best hostels we ever stayed in. We felt like home the minute we stepped in. It was three of us, and there was no problem putting an extra bed in the super spacious double bedroom. The room was very clean with the biggest and  most comfortable bed we could find in the Philippines. Service all together was on a really high level. The owner took his time for all of our questions (and there were many) and recommended us the best way to plan our trip around. He also selfinitiatively made a reservation for our next accommodation. Besides that the food was really nice. Would definitely stay there again without any doubt whatsoever.

Seems perhaps it's an off season thing, yet they have signs indicating food and drink, yet they don't have most of what listed on the wall. Presently it's more of a cook on your own from the trust fridge at the moment. They have lots of signs for a bar that was here at one time. I ended up going to the supermarket as they had no beer and I was hoping for some sleepy juice due to my need to go to bed early for my next flight. The room is basic, good for a night of sleep after a flight. The staff is friendly and accommodating, they cooked me a meal after my 32 hours of flying and layovers, however, they suggested at first that I just cook for myself, I just didn't have the energy. I don't stay in hostiles much, yet this is just fine for simple accomodations. However, it's lacking the bar and most of the food that's posted on the walls at this time. Edit: Apparently the travel agency (Chase Miles) messed up my reservation, I had no idea, the hostel didn't mention it either, my apologies for the screws up. With regard to the beer I did ask, the staff told me to go to the store. I felt a bit weird asking for food, when I did they said I needed to to cook it myself, however I asked if they had any loganisa and they said no. I had no problem with that, and I said some sausage and rice, which was available, was fine and thanked them for cooking it for me. I made nothing upon my original review, perhaps just needed to explain more clearly as to my experience, so I'm not sure where that accusation came from. However, knowing the booking was not correct I can totally understand the challenge with an unexpected guest. Thanks for the stay, it worked out fine, regardless.

Beautifully set up for the friendly casual traveller. Owners are a bit careless but not a big deal (lost our bookings - on two seperate occasions - and fixed us up with a poorer quality room, no refund and no apology). The rest of the staff are brilliant, though, and worth the stay just for that. Location is decent for eating, need to habal-habal to nearby touristic sites. Clean and comfy, loved the honesty fridge, food smelled great but we didn’t eat there. Dogs a bit scary, but cute bunnies and tiny turtles.
