Paradies on Earth! If you want to visit an architectural wonder in which you can sleep in: try the beautiful Bukit Raya Guesthouse! It is like a little rainforest itself where you can sleep in a room or in the treehouse! You can also swim in their beautiful and nicely cool natural pool! We are already missing our wonderful hosts! Thank you!! They are full of love and wisdom and share absolutely great tips about what to do in the area and Central Kalimantan in general! Absolut pros! - they have a great tour offer themselves! Hands down the perfect place to stay in Palangkaraya! My wife and I stayed here and honestly felt like we didn't want to leave. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, cool, and comfortable—a true sanctuary. What makes this place special is the warmth of the hosts. Rijal, Ibu, and Pak Thomas made us feel like family. We consider ourselves lucky to have met them. Also, the homemade bread and jam for breakfast are legendary (absolute must-try!). Bonus points for cat lovers: Grace and her friends are the cutest, chubbiest residents here. We already miss the vibe and will definitely return. Highly recommended!

Delightful stay in the tranquility of the eco-friendly treehouse villa. Super attentive and friendly staff. Rizal and his family were super kind and hospitable and went above and beyond to make us stay enjoyable. The breakfast with his homemade bread was absolutely scrumptious! 😋😁

All at Butik Raya Guest House was so perfect. Thomas and Beatrix are so beautiful people, and so all the staff. Rizal is fantastic and organized a wonderful trip to see orangutang. We saw a lot of them in their natural habitat. The food was delicious and the homestay is beatiful. We deep recommand to book here.

Top class breakfast. Room 2 downstairs part quite small, due to a large bed. Western shower and mandi in the bathroom. Nice seating area in a garden and very friendly hosts.

We stayed 3 nights in the TREE HOUSE before our 4 night / 5 day WOW BORNEO cruise on the Kahayan River, and one night afterwards in their ‘deluxe honeymoon suite’. Hosted by Rizal (his parents were away at the time), our stay in an upmarket suburb of Palangkaraya was magnificent. Web photos & descriptions accurate. Booked direct via webpage, but most subsequent communication by What’s App with Rizal, paid by credit card upon departure. Great breakfasts and local information. Great international air conditioned Mamink’s Kitchen for dinner 7 minutes walk from guesthouse. All highly recommended.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Bukit Raya Guesthouse. All the staff was very lovely. Rizal bakes the best bread and is a fantastic host. We did a tour into the heart of Borneo, which was a once in a lifetime experience! Bukit raya is a must go if you visit central Kalimantan
