Although many people refer to this place as the “Chicken Church,” it is actually not a church. The site is officially known as Bukit Rhema, a prayer house designed in the shape of a pigeon. On the first floor, there are several prayer rooms that can be used by people of any religion, reflecting its inclusive concept. Meanwhile, the second-floor interior and landscape feel quite similar to a traditional church.
One of the most fascinating experiences here is climbing up to the seventh floor, where visitors are rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding area, including Punthuk Setumbu and the top of Candi Borobudur.
Before leaving, visitors can enjoy meals and drinks at the café or browse the souvenir shop for snacks and mementos. The shop offers a wide variety of affordable items, and we honestly loved their delightful and delicious nastar cookies, which are sold for IDR 100,000 per box.
