"Let’s start big picture. What’s the vibe here? Less than eight miles from the city center is this 403-acre reserve named after Singapore’s highest hill, Bukit Timah. The reserve is rich in tropical foliage and there are four routes for hikers: two easy, one moderate, and one difficult. There’s also a designated mountain biking trail with some extremely challenging sections. What's everyone here for? People don’t come here for a rewarding view at the summit; they come to immerse themselves in jungle greenery. Was it easy to get around? The park is easy to navigate but the trails can get extremely crowded, especially on weekends and public holidays. The closest you’ll find to peace and quiet is on an early morning weekday when the weather will be (slightly) cooler and if you’re lucky, monkeys, monitor lizards, and colorful birds will be out. The summit is wheelchair- and stroller-accessible but has a steep ascent. All said and done, what—and who—is this best for? This reserve is extremely popular with Singaporeans as it's the closest they have to a real nature escape without traveling too far. It's not ideal for hikers and trekkers looking for a remote trek—most people here are urbanites seeking a break from the steel, glass, and concrete of city life." - Ashlea Halpern

Probably, the best place to unwind outdoor. The hike is relatively easy. Takes up to 45 mins to get to the peak.

Great hike up the hill while enjoying the fresh air! Well paved with stairs and many tracks to take within the area. Be sure to take a photo with the rock once you’ve reached the summit! There were pavilions along the way incase of poor weather or if you need a rest.

So fun to walk up, it is not really high, it is a great place for families but many animals so DO NOT provoke them, but watch them from a safe distance instead

Went for an afternoon hike after a passing storm and the fog came up just in time. Felt like we were in in the moving clouds in genting highlands lol. Nice view of the quarry at the peak. A memorable experience.

Singapore highest elevated hill! It’s one of the best places in Singapore to have some form of an upward hike. It’s also a place that’s close to flora and fauna. There are 5 different routes with different levels of difficulty and views. The easiest route is the blue track which takes about 30 mins to go up and down. The longest route can take up to 2 hours. It’s small and a short hill but I still like trekking on this hill.

Singapore's highest peak and possibly the best place to train for any upcoming hikes or treks. Do note that it's open from 7 am to 7 pm and since covid, many of the routes have been closed or under refurbishment (for eg, the hard route from diary farm) For drivers, there is paid open air parking but it's super crowded on the weekends.

Good to start in the morning so that you can return before it’s too hot. Green lushy trees, forest like experience. We took about 3 hours to complete the dairy farm loop. But can be done early as well. We spent time taking lot of pics, chatting on anything and almost everything. Don’t miss the Look out point at the Hindhede quarry side. Good spot to take pictures. Good to go in a gang or alone to enjoy the nature. Be careful with the monkeys they might follow you if you are holding any eatables.

This is a good place to hike or even to do some cardio exercises. There are many routes available for hiking. Quite shady. Better bring some water and snacks if you want to explore for few hours, there is no shop or restaurant nearby. Beware of moneys though. Unfortunately, this place does not have open outlook to see landscape of Singapore.
