I make a point of visiting Bulaj every time I’m in Poland. It’s one of those rare restaurants that leaves a lasting impression, no matter how many times you return.
Chef Artur’s menu is consistently exceptional. I’ve traveled quite a bit and eaten in many great restaurants, but his dishes have a clarity and confidence that’s hard to find. The beef cheeks are unforgettable — tender, deeply flavorful, and perfectly balanced. And the bez dessert is a standout. Ask for extra strawberry sauce. It’s so good it could be served as a soup.
Our server — I believe her name was “Marianka” — was also excellent. I had mentioned wanting something seafood-based but a little lighter, and she immediately suggested an off-menu adjustment that suited exactly what I was hoping for. Thoughtful, intuitive service like that really elevates the experience.
The setting is relaxed but elegant, the service is warm without being intrusive, and the food is always a highlight of my trip. Bulaj is a true gem on the Polish coast.
