We were very excited to enjoy lunch on the gorgeous patio. The day was absolutely perfect for lunch outdoors. We were seated quickly without a reservation. Our waiter, Hussein, was friendly at first but then what really upset me was when he mocked the way I asked to order bruschetta. He laughed and said ‘oh. It’s a common way we laugh at Americans and the way they mispronounce this word.’
I’m sorry, but I am quite well educated and made a simple mistake. I would think if he is working at the nicest hotel in Rome’s restaurant, he would have some manners rather than to mock a guest.
Lunch itself was lovely. But the service ruined the meal for us.
