Bulskamp Inn

The location is central to everything in El Nido. All the staff were super friendly. Rey leads a very effective team and was always on hand to answer questions on tours having great local knowledge of the area. The complex is clean, hot-water is hot and aircondtioning is cold. The hostel across the road does puts on dance music each night and is quite the attraction for young travellers. This music had no impact on the amenity of the Inn. I experienced good sleeping as the rooms are pretty sound proof. The free wifi was always available. Highly recommend for a secure, relaxing stay.

Nice inn with A/C rooms in the city center of El Nido. Shops right next to you with 5 minutes to the beach. The place was always clean with a cozy area to chill outside with a small pond. Coffee and tea are available 24h of the day (included). You can book all trips and transfers directly at the reception, prices are the same as with the agencies (same prices at all places in the city). Rey and the staff were exceptionally nice and lovely! Good budget stay overall. Great location right in the middle of town. The bedroom was nice and comfortable, but the bathroom was quite small and the shower water wasn’t hot. Great bonus: unlimited free coffee. However, the sound insulation was poor — noise was easily heard. Also, the front desk staff were a bit too pushy when trying to sell their island hopping tours, felt uncomfortable at times.

Found this accommodation the day before arriving. When arrived host Rey was very helpful. With advice regarding restaurants, tours and even public transportation. ||A big plus was that booking tours locally, he arranged pickup at the hotel. Even when we left he arranged that the bus to Puerto Princessa, picked us up at accommodation so a TukTuk was not required. ||The rooms are very comfortable, clean, modern and spacious. Also the breakfast was great! ||If you want value for money, book this accommodation! ||And no, I won’t get paid for this review 😉

Pros: Mr Rey (the owner) is wonderful. Very friendly, always around, and always willing to help with anything you need, from tours to hiring a scooter, to giving advice. He is the star of the hotel.||The free coffee in the lobby area is appreciated.||The property has a chilled-out garden-type vibe in the lobby and seems to attract a relaxed clientele.||The hotel is located pretty close to the centre of the party area, which could be a pro or a con depending on what you are looking for. I was happy with the location, but others might choose somewhere that has a sea view or is quieter at night.||Cons: The rooms are tiny. Mine had construction going on next door all day long (only temporary, I realise, but it was distracting). The bathroom barely has enough room to turn around and the shower temperature was tepid at best.||The wifi cut out constantly.||All of this would have been fine at a cheaper place, but this one was at least as expensive as some nicer places nearby.

We were really blessed to have had the opportunity to stay here. The location was pretty convenient and worked perfectly well for our schedule! It is close to everything you need to enjoy the town and to access the tours. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful; especially Rey, the host, was amazing in attending our needs and providing us with great information on the tourism around the area. The inn is very well maintained, our room was clean, and the overall environment has like a cozy home vibe. The hostel in front can be pretty loud in music/party but our room’s acoustics was pretty good it didn’t even bother us. We absolutely recommend!

Toilet was not flashing. The room is very noisy. You cannot sleep at night. The blanket is very thin, not good for couple. There is a lot of mosquitos outside. A lot of construction noise from inside and outside all day long. If you want a restful stay this is not the place. Wifi doesnt work. Dont expect you can work here l. Also the data signal doesnt reach the room. I didnt want to make this long review but i tried to talk to an employee called Tintin, asking her if it is possible to check out a little late because my sleep was really bad last night. It is okay if she doesnt allow it but it is that she doesnt show any empathy at all. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. Hope they can do better next time or just do not book here.

The place was so cute and had a friendly atmosphere. The staff was excellent and very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good and tasty! The bed was very comfortable. The inn was located near the main strip and accessible to all restaurants and bars in the area. I enjoyed my stay there and we are looking forward to coming back!
