We tried the satay shrimp and the beef rendang. Unfortunately, we didn’t like the beef rendang — the meat was a bit chewy, quite spicy, and lacked flavour. The shrimp was good and nicely cooked. The service was good and the staff were attentive, which we appreciated. However, the prices aren’t cheap, and overall we don’t think it’s worth coming back, even just for the shrimp.

Ordered a couple set menus. Everything was very good. The papaya soup was very salty. They have free travel back to your hotel/resort but be prepared to wait. Had to wait a half an hour for a ride.

If you want to try authentic Balinese cuisine, this place is excellent. Everything tastes delicious and fresh, with no unpleasant aftertaste – you can really tell they cook with heart. The Balinese food here feels like a true experience. The staff is wonderful. The only downside was that I found a bug in my dish; after reporting it to the waiter, we were given a discount. I just hope they will pay more attention in the future so that this doesn’t happen again. anyway shredded chicken was amazing, the best we had in bali

had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was full of authentic Balinese flavours — beautifully seasoned, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Every dish felt made with care and local ingredients. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, explaining each dish and making sure we had everything we needed. The service was fast, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, with that traditional Balinese touch that makes you feel at home.

If you’re around the area you must try Bumbu’s! My partner and I have both agreed it is the best Balinese food we’ve ever tasted. We’ve been twice and have tried most of their skewers, rendang, braised fish & prawn in turmeric sauce and nasi campur. Would recommend it all and everything tasted so fresh, flavours clean, not oily and you feel really good after eating it! More on the expensive side but honestly so worth it.

The food and service here are amazing- so good we visited twice during our short stay in Nusa Dua. We would have gone more if we had discovered it sooner. We tried the Chicken curry, Nasi Campur and chicken satay skewers. All three were delicious. The coconut ice cream and mango sorbet are the best I have ever tasted. They are fantastic with food allergies, catering for gluten free. We wish we had time to go to the cookery class. The staff are friendly and very attentive. There is a very welcoming atmosphere and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Thoroughly enjoyed all three visits to Bumbu; What a feast! It was awesome to watch the culinary students cooking in an open air setting and to have all the aromas wafting your way, drool worthy. On the first visit we tried a variety of dishes and then on subsequent visits we went pretty hard with the sate. I highly recommend the pork, duck and chicken sates. Beautifully flavoured and the portions are very generous. Rolled ourselves back to the hotel ha ha satisfied. If you find room for dessert there are some delightful offerings as well. We also bought a cookbook and are hoping to bring some of the cooking magic back home to our kitchen.

Hands down the best Balinese food on the island, according to my fam! The Rijsttafel is a must-try - so many delicious small dishes that showcase Indonesian cuisine's richness. The Chicken Curry and Pork Ribs were also spot on, thanks to our helpful waitress's recs. And the desserts? Perfect ending to a fantastic meal!
