Food was excellent. Service was prompt & friendly. The meal was filling. The dining area though small was more than adequate especially for the location. Views from the eating area were excellent.

Was not expecting the British 🇬🇧 accent/humor but I absolutely loved it! We went in for breakfast and it was amazing!🤩

Google
Great food, the elderly couple working here are super nice! Amazing iced tea, yummy sandwiches and omelettes. A good view of the bay, can be noisy with the traffic. Be prepared to climb stairs, it's on the upper floor.

Came here for lunch. Great view of the harbor and lovely owners. Food was reasonably priced and yummy.

Google
Great breakfast and service with a view! Service breakfast and lunch all day until they close early afternoon.

Google
We loved the breakfast but loved the owners even more. Great food and nice view of the harbor!

Google
Excellent breakfast with generous portions!! Friendly owners. Surprised by the gluten free bread options!! Bravo Bumpas!!

This is a quick stop, we had breakfast before heading to the airport. We ordered the Monte Carlo, eggs/toast/bacon, and banana pancakes. All the items were great! The view was beautiful and it was pretty empty (there no cruise ships in port). The breeze was an added bonus from being at the higher elevation. You do have to walk around to get there and go up stairs.

Yelp
We called an audible when arriving in the AM at the Charolotte Amalie shopping area downtown... we were heading to a different place for AM coffee, and we saw Bumpa's and remembered someone recommending it to us last time we were in St. Thomas. We're always wanting to try something new! So, Bumpas is a smaller, narrow place on the second floor of a building on the waterfront street downtown. What it lacks in size, it more than makes up for the view it provides of St. Thomas Bay. It's a spectacular view! The couple that run the place are super nice, and they've been in St. Thomas for decades... literally. They moved there and raised their children some 20+ years ago. We opted for our usual lattes, which were very delicious. The food selection at Bumpas is almost overwhelming, so any different things to choose from, and they all sounded good. We opted for a couple of empanada-like fried/stuffed meat pies, like a stuffed fry jack you'd find in Belize. We ordered one stuffed with "salt fish" and the other with beef. Unfortunately, we were served two of the salt fish variety, which was promptly corrected. Served with a sweet sauce on the side, and another side of blistering hot habanero sauce. The fried dough was a little bit thick on the ends, but overall the pies were good. The fish was a bit salty, but tasted great. The beef did lack a little flavor, but was still good. We would definitely good back to try other things on the menu. When the coffee is really good, it's always worth a return trip when the menu is vast. Recommend Bumpas for your coffee and breakfast/lunch dining pleasure...

Yelp
If your hungry belly is craving a tasty breakfast that isn't overpriced, then Bumpa's is your spot. Service is friendly and fast, and the AMAZING waterfront view while you chow down on that delicious grub is a bonus!! Only downside is parking is a pain in the butt, but if you don't plan on staying for more than 20mins and you order something light, then you can be creative when it comes to parking, ( ;-) wink, wink)..lol Go and enjoy, you won't regret it!

Yelp
Bumpa's in St. Thomas is a hidden gem nestled in downtown Charlotte Amalie. As a restaurant overlooking the water, its upstairs seating offers stunning views that enhance the dining experience. I ordered the Italian Sub, and it surpassed my expectations in freshness and flavor--it's easily one of the best I've ever had. The ingredients were impeccably fresh, and each bite was a delight. Accompanying my meal was their rum punch, a true masterpiece. It was not only delicious and refreshing but also packed a punch. Bumpa's serves both breakfast and lunch, making it a versatile choice for any time of day. If you find yourself in St. Thomas, don't miss the opportunity to visit this culinary gem.

Mashicka R.

Yelp
Nice views, decent breakfast food and service. Service is slow as it just a husband, wife and helper. They do pretty good to say the business is steady. Small outdoor seating area but has some really nice views.

Brandon A.

Yelp
This is our favorite breakfast place in St. Thomas. We love the lobster omelette. The ambiance is amazing. The food is fantastic. Great family that owns this place. We highly recommend you stopping by. Fun fact, the painkillers are amazing!

Geoffrey K.

Yelp
Upstairs with a small open air seating area. Staff is very friendly and good views of the bay

Tracy M.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a late breakfast/early brunch today. Food was amazing atmosphere was relaxing. I had the grilled fish wrap which had seared Aji tuna very flavorful. My husband just had a standard eggs with fried potatoes plate. Nothing special but was very good and filled him up for the first part of the day.

Krystal M.

Yelp
We ran into Bumpa's on our way into town to catch our flight. The employees and presumed owners were absolutely lovely. They were so kind, and provided superb service. The food was delicious. The bacon, egg and cheese on French bread was warm and toasty. It was great. The cream cheese was a bit tart but tasty nonetheless. The staff accommodated my children and split the waffle and bacon and strawberry smoothie in half. The views are nice, and it's a quaint little spot. Has a clean public restroom. Def recommend!

Iris A.

Yelp
Wish I could give 0 stars. View is great. Food was horrible. Both me and my friend ordered the grilled tuna wrap and it was not good at all. No flavor. The pasta was tasteless as well. Attempted to exchange the meal for something else and the woman said that we would have to pay for it. DO NOT waste your money.

A S.

Yelp
We found this small cafe. I had the ice coffee, French toast and bacon. I was impressed that they put ice cubes made of coffee in the iced coffee so it doesn't water down the coffee as the ice melts. French toast was also on point.

Yelp
Hands down, the best breakfast on the island (or at least the area). Walking distance from our hotel we visited 2x's during our stay on the the island. The food was so delicious and fresh, it's no wonder we returned a second time. Located upstairs with stunning bay views, it provides the best setting to enjoy a meal. The owners are there busy working, taking orders and cooking. A wonderful small restaurant we were happy to have stumbled upon!!

Ed W.

Yelp
A fun place to have breakfast. I found the menu prices to be on the high side and was disappointed in the small portion of home fries, which are quite good but not many served with order. I am not a fan of extra crispy bacon but no other option offered. All in all a good place for breakfast but there ate better options.

Brian S.

Yelp
Came here and got the Monte cristo with a side of orange juice. Usually I don't get this but I felt like it today. The bread was soft and cooked just right how I like it. Not over done and not doughy and under cooked. The potatoes were seasoned well and the filling of cheese was what appeared to be a swiss cheese. I liked how this place made it and think I will be having this a few more times.

Vincent C.

Yelp
I was in the area doing some shopping and I was hungry. I just wanted something kind of quick and cheap well I got the quick part but not so cheap. You have to remember a lot of things are shipped to St.Thomas so you'll have to pay for that. Anyway I got a breakfast bagel which was pretty good. The main attraction here is the view so this is a cool little spot with decent food and an awesome view check it out.

E. L.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast. Fantastic pancakes and eggs. Super hospitable and friendly staff. No need to go anywhere else in town. And the only place we found that serves breakfast after 11.

Michael K.

Yelp
A pretty good lunch spot run by the sweetest couple you'll ever meet! The food was OK, though the tuna they use here is top notch (and they keep it rare--props for that). The smoothies were lackluster. They tasted of artificial flavorings, though I have no insight into the actual ingredients used. All in all, I recommend Bumpas.

Karla B.

Yelp
Awful rude service. I got yelled at by the cashier, by the "bouncer" near the dining room who angrily told me to get back in line and order before sitting (no signs are posted indicating this) to the long wait for the food. Will not come back.

Daniel K.

Yelp
Nice, simple breakfast joint. Food executed well, at acceptable pricing for area. Seating area is simple, but has an awesome view. Nice beer selection. This is a joint worth checking out in area.

T N.

Yelp
The service is outstanding. This couple take care of their customers. You have a great food, hot, tasty coffee and fluffy omelettes!

Nicole P.

Yelp
My favorite spot to eat on the island! Great service I felt like I was being served at home by my grand parents. The view and breeze from the ocean really made St Thomas official for me. The menu was the most diverse and it had many items that met our dietary restrictions. MUST GO

Jeffrey A.

Yelp
Run by a very nice couple with a very cute rooftop sitting area. There is not table service, you order at the counter and they call you when the food is ready. Our breakfast for two was over $65 and it was pretty mediocre: brie omelette with very little brie and overcooked potatoes. I did want to like this place

Anthony K.

Yelp
The downside: No wifi, we stopped here and walked here from our ship. It's a mile and a half walk, or $4. Taxi ride. But, this is the US Virgin Islands, so AT&T data works, but T-mobile does NOT, go figure. This would have been cured if this refreshment stop/snack shop had WiFi. High priced drinks with No free refill on iced tea. Not rude employees, but seemingly uncaring and indifferent. The bathroom was clean, tiny, but had soap...no hot water though. The positive: Beautiful views! 100% beautiful!

Matt T.

Yelp
Delicious, and so friendly. Had a bacon, egg, and cheese on everything bagel. Was delicious! They put coffee ice cubes in the coffee so as it melts it doesn't get watered down, great iced coffee. All employees were beyond friendly, can't wait to go back. Great setting overlooking the harbor, felt like I was on a boat.

Kacy H.

Yelp
A cute small restaurant on second floor with patio overlooking the water. Gorgeous older couple who runs it, wife takes the orders and the husband cooks the food. The food was ok, overpriced as well. Don't recommend the lobster quesadilla, wayyyy too many onions- not worth $30. The monte criste was a great ham and cheese sandwich with a French toast bread, highly recommend. I got the fig bacon and Brie sandwich which had a small amount of fig jelly and no actual figs so it was a dry sandwich. They should add eggs to it would have been better. Great customer service, food was so-so or maybe I should've ordered something else‍

David S.

Yelp
Honestly, just a cozy spot in St. Thomas to watch the ocean while getting a nice meal. It's about $15 per person, so it's pretty reasonable compared to other places in St. Thomas. They also have some beers and whatnot for you to drink before you go about your way. You will have to order at the counter and pick up from the counter, so make sure not to just grab a seat. Otherwise I'd recommend going here before you go shopping as it's close to Main Street and a great meal.

Travis C.

Yelp
Best breakfast on the island. Small time family feel diner with excellent service. View over the harbor is amazing. A must when visiting the USVI. Thanks Bumpa's

Ziv B.

Yelp
I really like this place! The food is really good, I had the banana pancakes with sausage the first time and an omelet the second time. Good portion size and well prepared. The people who own the place are good sorts. I will be back!

Emily H.

Yelp
Yum! Gorgeous view and amazing Reuben! Also a great breakfast. It's a must visit every time we go to St Thomas!

Sara E.

Yelp
Found this local mom and pop gem when my husband and I were in St Thomas USVI a few weeks ago. It's an older couple who run the place and you definitely get a homey feel. First off it's the second level of a building and it is laid out like a porch so you're covered but get the open ocean breezes while you eat. Also for the island it's pretty reasonable as far as pricing goes since everything on the island is crazy expensive!!! I ate here by myself one day while my hubs was sleeping in and he was so jealous I drove into town from our Airbnb and took it back the next day! Check it out!!

Craig N.

Yelp
Just stayed here. The staff is so rude Hannah fish sandwich was $23 had a really looks hard to find the fish and again the staff just absolutely rude. You think that they're catering to tourist. They would learn how to be nice to people and again the food was not worth the money would highly not recommend this restaurant.

Marty J.

Yelp
Ate at Bumpa's our first day into Saint Thomas. Great view of the harbor. Outside seating very helpful in these Covid times. Bonnie was so great to give us lots of recommendations of local places. Food is diner type and we all thought very tasty. We'll be back for sure!

Christina W.

Yelp
The view is worth five stars but the prices made me give only four stars. After shopping all morning we needed a places to eat a sandwich and just sit for a while. This restaurant was right out back from the store we were in and was recommended by the store employees. Quick service, fabulous view of the ocean from the second story open-dining, delicious sandwiches that are big enough for two people to share. Only reason for the mild complaint of their prices is because we were vacationing on a cruise ship. Too far to walk back to the ship just to eat and come back to finish shopping and exploring St. Thomas. Note: restroom is available for paying customers. This was greatly appreciated since we didn't know of anywhere that had public restrooms on Main St.

Michael C.

Yelp
This a great spot for breakfast. We came here after church. Sitting on the balcony you get a great breeze from the ocean. The prices are about right for the island ($12-$15 per person). While the view and eating location is great for getting out of the sun and catching a breeze the pigeons were very annoying. The food makes up for any of the downers. Parking in front is an issue but jus across the street there is a parking lot.

Alma S.

Yelp
We had the breakfast bagel. We had to come back a second time make sure we loved it. We did. Bonnie and Roland are very sweet people.

Matthew K.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to give Bumpa's a try on this trip due to a recommendation from family. Although a pretty good location on its own accord, I can't say I'd come back here as a first choice on a future trip. Other reviews do a good job of painting the picture as to why: service feels a bit lackluster and the food, while cooked fresh, is really just ok. When we visited this week, we headed upstairs and proceeded to order our food (it's one of those places where you order, pay and then sit). There were two employees working the counter but it took about 5 minutes before someone took our order (we were the only ones there). They weren't rude as some people have commented, but I really didn't get a warm feeling or even a friendly greeting. We ordered our food and chose a table with a view along the railing. About 10 minutes later they rang a bell and said our food was ready. I walked up to the counter to grab it and we then proceeded to dig in. Joanna had ordered a turkey sub and I ordered an angus burger. The burger was fresh and savory with a healthy assortment of fixings. It really did hit the spot, which is the reason I'd come back to this place in the future. Joanna's turkey sub was good but nothing to rave about. I wish I could give this place more than 3 stars, but judging by this one experience it really is just ok, especially considering all the other amazing places this island has to offer. I'm hoping that returning again and perhaps giving it another shot might add a star to this review.

Heather S.

Yelp
This place is the best spot for breakfast. Food was excellent! It is now our go-to spot for breakfast when we come to the island. Very fair prices for very good food, plus the view is excellent! Awesome place.

Bella R.

Yelp
Banana pancakes amazing! Come hungry because that 3 stack pancake was so big and fluffy, I couldn't finish it. But it was so good! I had an amazing time, enjoyed the views with some good eats! Check them out. The seating is very limited, small place but amazing breakfast!

Carmencita S.

Yelp
You get your money's worth. The menu is not elaborate or extensive which I like. The prices are good. Don't expect a real friendly service though. They're not rude, they're just not very friendly. You order and pay first before you sit down. You clean up after yourself, too. Location is prime - overlooking the bay and next to the mall.

Christina L.

Yelp
I came here as a quick stop before our tour. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. Service: The cashier was very friendly and professional. He clearly explained to us what our dish consisted of, so there was no confusion when our food came out. Food: Fish wrap - grilled tuna with cole slaw wrapped in a tortilla. Surprising it was delicious. Very satisfying fish:slaw:tortilla ratio. The sauce was the best part. Pasta salad - very light flavor but it worked well. The pasta itself was cooked al dente. Yum. Overall: I would definitely recommend this place.

Amber D.

Yelp
Delicious quality ingredients. Personable staff, and gorgeous view of the Caribbean sea. Really affordable prices, and the coffee was delicious. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, and it was super satisfying. My friends are local and it's their favorite spot. It definitely did not disappoint.

Rose B.

Yelp
After a long day @ Magen's Bay, I was in need for some refreshments. Cold, sparkling & chilled! I ordered a fruit mango/strawberry smoothie. Smoothies was good & most def refreshing. Service was a bit "uhhhh" not the greatest, no hello, no "how can I help you" it was the girls doing their thing behind the counter. A little rude. Outside view was outstanding & left you speechless. That's why I opt for Bumpa's. Most def. will remember Bumpa's for the view.

Varshana C.

Yelp
Let's face it.. The island is a hard place to find a restaurant type you are actually going for. Bumpas was exactly what I was going for the morning I walked in. I knew it was going to be difficult and rewarding trying to find breakfast on a day with no cruise ships. Most shops open late or are completely shut down with out the cruisers bustling around.. But if I found where I was going it would be slower than usual. It was great! One person in line and plenty of room on the patio (the only spot to shit and eat). I found room in the shade and after ordering I sat with my 10 week old baby strapped to me and my 8 year old daughter helped me fetch the food once they called for us. She got the waffles and bacon and man did they give her a ton of bacon cooked perfectly! She doesn't like it too crispy but doesn't want it too greasy. I opted for a special omelet on the board with tomato, onion, spinach and feta. It came with home fries as well. Everything was great! They even offered to cut her waffle for her. It was just what I needed to escape my family breakfast. We even hit up the tent shops after! I would definitely recommend bumpas for an early morning start. If it is too crowed to find parking in front of it though.. You might be in trouble.

Bill G.

Yelp
Small cafe with hot and cold sandwiches, cocktails, and ice cream. Prices seemed a bit high at first but I was satisfied when I tasted the quality of the food. Dining is outside on a covered balcony overlooking the harbor and the main road through town. I'd go back just to sit on the balcony again.

Melissa K.

Yelp
Stopped in this place in 2019 and again this year. Love their frozen drinks and the food is outstanding. Talked with the owners and they made us feel like family. They are sweet good people!! Thank you perfect spot for a perfect snack beautiful view. Clean and well kept!!

Munaza R.

Yelp
No idea what the hype is about. Food is substandard for the price you pay. Had omelette and French toast with coffee. The view is great but cannot make up for the taste of food

Andrew L.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast or lunch sandwiches. The wait was a little long but that was because a couple of large groups ordered ahead of us and they cook the sandwiches to order one at a time. Overall it was around a 1-2 minute wait between each sandwich and they all tasted great.

Mark G.

Yelp
Awesome view and excellent breakfast......eggs, sausage and cheese on a croissant with a side of potatoes were amazing. Really nice owners who cook all the food. Located right off the bay, upstairs with an great harbor view from a covered patio....highly recommend!

Resa S.

Yelp
Wonderful breakfast place on the island. We ordered our own food, 3 sandwich's, a empanada, a liquor drink and a cappuccino. With tip $60. Everything was delicious and well worth the visit.

Joseph S.

Yelp
Some of the best food on St Thomas. The owners are very delightful. And the food is high quality and delicious.
