I feel lucky to have such a great local bun restaurant so close to home. My favourite is the meatball and the traditional sandwich. The food is always fresh and they even handle my picky orders with a smile. Don't miss the Vietnamese iced coffee. A watermelon ginger fresh juice is also really nice and refreshing. The team and the owner are lovely and aim to please. Must try!

We had two pork bahn mis and they were tasty and good value for money. We did not have to wait a long time at all. It was ready within 5 minutes after ordering and friendly staff were very helpful. It is an excellent place for lunch.

I was impressed with the quality of the rolls, tasty, big and with fresh ingredients. The staff were very friendly and asked us if we enjoyed the meal. I'll sure to come back here. We had the duck roll and the beef roll.

In a shady part of Victoria Street, I found a little haven of Vietnam. Served quickly with lots of flavour and great price. Gluten free alternatives to. Yay. Nice sitting outside watching the world go by.

Good banh mi sandwiches with really crunchy and flavourful veggie slaw, perhaps a tad sweet! I usually go for the pork or duck roll -- reliable and filling.

Food was very fresh and home made. The owners were super sweet. Highly suggest the Banh Mi BBQ Pork!

Yelp
Bun Mese is more than just your standard Vietnamese roll that you can find on almost every street. They offer a more classy style roll with more variety to choice from. Options include the classic Vietnamese Pork Roll (of course), Cha Cha Chicken, peeking duck, beef, vege delight, Roast pork with crackling. On entering I was greeted enthusiastically by one of the staff and ask if it was my first time here. He spoke with conviction about the menu and the options. Definetly one point of difference from standard pork roll spots where they usually shout at you "what you want, what you want?". I decided to go with the beef roll. The beef roll contained succulent beef eye fillet with your standard salad options and chilli. I was given the option of the white or whole meal roll. I went for whole meal. The roll was really good and was packed with salad and plenty of meat. They sell the roll for $10 which is a little steep considering that the roll was smaller then the standard bread rolls most bakeries sell. Did taste great though and other options looked really good. Just feel they need to adjust the price down.

Yelp
Recently returned and found that the yummy bread roll was gone, replaced by your average torpedo roll. The ground up chilli paste was gone too, replaced by your every day chunks of chilli. The duck meat was overly oily and literally dripped grease onto the table. And the chicken meat was dry and lacked flavour. Not sure what happened in the space of mere weeks, but they're now the same as your local banh mi bakery - just a lot more expensive. There is certainly no differentiator anymore. Such a pity as this place used to be fantastic.

Yelp
We stopped by this place on our way out of Sydney and were so glad we did! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I wish we lived closer as it would probably be our go-to quick meal.

Yelp
Delicious! I had the vegetarian - with moorish mushrooms, and beautiful fresh-baked bread!!
