Breakfast was decent. However, the bed sheets weren't really clean. The single bed seemed to be more spacious and had extra room for phones and other gimmicks. The lockers are underneath the double beds and way too small for two people's luggage. Using the washing machine costs 4$, drying the clothes costs additional 4$. The WiFi did not work in the meeting rooms on the second floor. The staff is very helpful and friendly, so, that's a plus. The metro is really close by, which is nice. You can walk all the way to Marina Bay though (in my opinion).

Firstly, it was my first experience for a hostel which was pretty okay. Maybe I did spend less time (only a night). But the guy at the reception was nice as he guided me the way from the previous hotel (Hotel Frarer One) and allowed me to check in late in the night (around 2 am). I was asked to deposit S$20 for the security deposit which would not be refunded if I didn't check out on time. Bed was tiny but clean. No lockers. There's a charge for S$5 for a towel. For breakfast, they provide a coffee packet, an oatmeal packet and bread. The time for breakfast is 9-10 am only and they don't even give you an empty glass also after that. I paid around S$26 for a night stay. You have many shops close by where you could buy food at reasonable prices. But overall, Singapore is an expensive city.

Is not too bad, the bedroom have space but is a little warm (air conditioning is not enough ) and the big problem is that need clean the bathroom (need it) . breakfast is ok for the price and the staff is very kind. ( we could save our luggage when did the check out , that is good )

CHECK THE RECENT REVIEWS and do not stay there. We have booked it for 7 nights and after 2 we could not stand it any longer and booked a hotel, even though we knew there would be no refund for the remaining nights. The lobby looks alright, but it is the only good area, almost like a scam. After signing and paying, we have been given a bag full of paper cups with instant oatmeal (our breakfast for the week) and then taken to a depressing windowless room with nothing but a bare concrete filled with mold, dust and tightly packed bunk beds (with bedbugs). This place is completely run down - photos online are simply a lie, must have been taken years ago. The man’s bathrooms are dirty, hot and unbearably humid, especially on the third floor. The clientele is mostly local workers, going in and out throughout the night. I have no idea how it keeps its online ranking. If you think that I am exaggerating and still booked a stay there, ask to see the room and bathroom before signing and paying, you will save your money.

It was my first time at a hostel. Overall the experience was not bad. However, the place is definitely worn down and no longer like the photos. The bathrooms don't seem like they're cleaned very often. The floors are always wet and have no slip resistance. The rooms often get super dampped. I did not enjoy getting into a wet bed. The location was good though. It's right next to a metro and walking distance to a lot of food choices in Little India.

A huge bonus is the new train station right at the doorstep. First three stays with them were superb. But when I returned in December '17, place was overcrowded and very run down. Also messed up my booking and I had to wait until the evening for my bed. Lounge facilities are there, but not what they once were. Toilets are run down and the ground floor access door to the rooms were not functioning and so any bloke off the street could just walk right into the hallways. To be very honest, they are still up and running, so if you're looking for the lowest rates in town, they're the place to be. Rooms are still tip top, beds clean and comfortable, privacy and security present. Just the public spaces are not as well kept. I may return if they decide to renovate, but until then, not my first choice

The room we got was full of mold on the ceiling, not even your dog would have wanted to sleep there. After complaining we got another room, which was fine. The guy at the counter seemed rather unfazed by my complaint though, which surprised me. Wifi is good. Breakfast is very simple but you can eat all the white toast that you like. Overall vibe is rather generic. It's a decent hostel.

Nice place. Comfortable bed. Nice environment. Value for money. The only bad in this hostel are the attitute of guest. They think that they own this hostel & they can do whatever they want. Here have too much wastage. They never finish whatever they took to eat. Later they dump it inside the sink & clogged up the sink. Bunc Hostel have already closed down from 31st July 2019 till further notice. Renovation to upgrade to hotel standard. Assumed to be opened next year. Latest update is Bunc hostel is opened with different name Signature Hotel.

Yelp
One positive I can say about is Great Location. Other than that, nothing. Arrived around 10pm, and maybe the staff was already tired but not so friendly and helpful at all. Air-condition and fan in the room could use a good vacuuming. My sheets, well i'm not sure if it's even washed. There stains that could easily be removed by bleached. Toilet and shower room were dirty. Elevator looks like it has never been wiped, it was gross to touched.

Yelp
Avoid. Whatever this place was, it's not anymore. What used to be a hostel is now a halfway house for perverts and sometimes even rude long term residents. The rooms are cramped and have bed bugs and smell terrible, breakfast is disappointing, service is also terrible (some of them are racist), and Wi-Fi is spotty at best, which is why a lot of people hang out in the lobby area. If you ever book at this place, prepare to lose sleep.

Yelp
I'm really happy that I chose to stay at this hostel during my trip to Singapore. Situated in Little India, Bunc Hostel's facade looks like a classic, old style Singaporean building, though the inside is decidedly modern. I love that each bunk bed is outfitted with different kinds of lights, sockets and shelves for belongings. The doors are locked with a key card, which you can request at the front desk for 10 sgd deposit if you should ever need an extra. The bathrooms have amazing exhaust so you can do your business in peace (something I value when traveling because getting the stomach flu from the local cuisine is not fun!). It's a straight line walk from Upper Weld to Arab Street, and you can get there in ten minutes or so. It's also really close to Bugis if you want to go shopping! I would definitely stay here again because Little India is my favorite neighborhood in Singapore.
