Bungalow Hotel (Long Branch, New Jersey) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Go ahead and hold on to your anti–New Jersey prejudices if you like. It just means more space for those of us who have learned to embrace the Jersey Shore. Though it’s technically located on that big land mass to the west of the Hudson River, we think even the most blinkered Manhattanite would consider making an exception for a stylish little boutique like the Bungalow, in the Pier Village complex by the Long Branch seaside." - Tablet Hotels

We had a wonderful stay celebrating our wedding anniversary with our two dogs! The room was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The location was perfect - close to everything we wanted to explore, including some great dog-friendly spots. Very walkable! Our pups felt right at home, and so did we. The hosts were thoughtful and responsive, making our stay even more special. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with pets or looking for a relaxing getaway!

Great, spacious suite. Balcony was nice after dinner & drinks. Got to brush up on my pool skills in the game area. The Bungalow is very clean, staff is friendly & sharing amenities with the Wave Hotel is perfect. Lou L.

If This Is “Luxury,” I’d Hate to See Budget Windows so thin you’ll feel like you’re sleeping in the car show outside — bring earplugs and patience. The “short walk” to the beach? Hope you like long strolls. Management’s solution to our noise complaint was a new room… with a broken fireplace. Late checkout? Sure, if you’re cool paying $50 for 30 extra minutes. Parking is $30 a night whether you park there or not. And the “complimentary breakfast” — unless you think a couple pastries and coffee counts as breakfast — is laughable. Come here to party, not to relax, because peace and quiet clearly aren’t on the menu.Oh yea and I’m still waiting for my complimentary drink they advertise!

Great hotel with big rooms making it perfect for families! The staff is wonderful and it’s always very clean and comfortable. One of our favorite spots to stay when we visit the area. We will even stay here when I travel with the kids during business trips at our venue in Asbury Park.

The Bungalow Hotel was the best experience on the Jersey Shore me and my Wife had. The staff was soo friendly and relaxed and chill. I felt like I was staying at my friend's beach house for the weekend. The rooms are clean and so relaxing and cool- it comes with a fireplace and drinks and snacks. They're huge too. The place has a very West Coast / Pacific vibe. I also love the location. It's not dab in the center of all the crowds, and hotels; so you can stroll along the beach and shops and come back to a more chill place and relax.

Other than the ac not working well we had a nice time. Rooms are better than you would think but still not the greatest. Overall nice time, recommend for families. Parking is very convenient. Everything is tidy. Its just at the point where its starting to show its age.

The room was efficient, peaceful, relaxing and lovely. Although the continental breakfast was nice a hot breakfast would have been more desirable (especially considering room fees). |The atmosphere is pleasant. |The middle of May was a great time to be there before full season.

I absolutely loved loved the suite we had. It had more than enough room for my family and myself to enjoy our time in the room together. We had two beds, two showers and one soaker that was amazing. At night it was very quiet and peaceful in the room which I appreciated. As far as service goes it was horrible. Anytime I called downstairs in the afternoon or evening no one answered the phone. No one was ever at the front desk to help me with my questions. Also for security reasons someone should be at the front desk at all times. The doors downstairs were wide open late at night for anyone to come in. Loved the room and location near the beach but lack of security and service. I had to walk downstairs everytime to get help and no one was ever at the front desk. Also I paid for ocean view and only had views of the trees! Very disappointing for the money I paid. Again rooms 5 stars but service needs help.

Yelp
We returned for a second visit, again with the fur baby in tow. This time we stayed in the massive room 201 and same great experience with a better shower, balcony and less dog poop (although some people still need to learn to clean up after their dogs). Upgrade your room it is worth it. The staff here are gems!

Yelp
We stayed here recently as it was within walking distance of Whitechapel Projects, an industrial-chic wedding venue. Located in the Pier Village complex, this boutique hotel is a good choice when you are "down the shore." We enjoyed our time here very much...

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and stay here! I love this hotel is actually my favorite. They serve breakfast the rooms aren't stuffy like regular hotels that are in this area. The staff is super accommodating and sweet. It's in a great location and has beautiful views. The only downside is there isn't a fitness room but you can either get a cheap pass at golds or use the gym in the wave resort!

Yelp
At best this is a one star hotel dressed up as a wanna be chic beachside hotel. At first glance everything seems as it should, but as soon as you notice one broken issue suddenly you can't stop seeing them all. When we first arrived our room was freezing cold. I tried to start the AC on the heat setting, but it didn't work. I called the front desk and they said they would send someone up from "engineering". Without exaggeration, two maintenance men came 2 hours later only to tell me that they couldn't fix it because it's broken. They suggested I speak to the front desk. When I went back down to the front desk 2+ hours later it was a new person who said that the manager was out of town until Sunday and the best they could do was call "engineering". Of course I let them know that engineering had already come and they said that's the best they could do. So sure enough 30 minutes later the same men showed up and laughed with me at the situation. They let the front desk know that I should be switched out of this room because it's winter and there is no heater. At first the guy at the front desk told me there were no rooms and all he could provide wee space heaters. I said I couldn't accept that and suddenly there was a room available for us to move to. In the new room we found out the hard way that the mini fridge we put all our fresh groceries in actually didn't work when we woke up the next morning and things were spoiled and nothing was cold. We complained again, they said they would fix the fridge. We went out for the day and when we came back the woman at the front said that they fixed the fridge all we had to do was turn it on. Sure enough we get up to the room and fridge won't turn on. So again engineering comes to the room only to confirm that the fridge doesn't work. Other things that don't work are the TV. We can only watch one channel because the remote will only change volume not channel. The tv will also not connect to the internet so we can't stream anything. Both things the front desk said they couldn't fix. Finally, the internet network is not protected so if you're working on a business laptop with any sensitive data you can't use this internet. It's fairly standard now a days to have protected internet networks. Any chain motel/hotel that's basic has this service let alone a supposedly high end beach bungalow. This place is a joke. Please don't spend your well earned money here. You will regret it.

Yelp
Ok, let me explain. The room and the fireplace was very nice. The reason for the 1 star is because the bed was between extremely firm and concrete. I am a big guy and a side sleeper and it was a horrific night of basically no sleep. Everything else was fine but they are buying beds so they last 10 years or so. One of the most uncomfortable beds I ever was on.

Yelp
Beautiful room good price in the off season friendly accommodating staff. Breakfast could be better

Yelp
We had to cancel our reservation last minute due to a death in the family and Justin the hotel manager was the most compassionate, helpful human being ever. The 3rd party we booked through, Agoda was being terrible about refunding us and made us jump through so many hoops - and Justin made it so easy for us during this time. Thank you Justin! We will be making another reservation here because of your hospitality and care.

Yelp
It was a very pleasant experience. Check in was hassle free. Our balcony was clean. A little cold and rainy to really enjoy it. $30 a night for parking ( stayed for the weekend). During our first night, I hear a loud bang that woke me out of my sleep. The art frame on the wall had fell, and glass shattered everywhere. Looked like whoever hung it up did not use anchors or drill into a stud. Called the lobby and housekeeping cleaned it up in the morning. Thankfully no one was hurt. Our fireplace also was not working, but maintenance came in and fixed it. The bathroom is spacious and gorgeous. Loved the over head shower. Lots of water pressure. There was a wedding reception happening on the other side of the hotel. Music was loud, but not annoying, kind of enjoyed the playlist . Overall, I will visit again. Nice getaway for a weekend of peace and quiet.

Yelp
Great boutique hotel. Service was top-notch and I loved that they give complimentary parking at the parking garage right next to the hotel. We got the pipeline room and it was as described. The room was relatively clean but the floors could have been cleaner as there was still some sand and dirt on the ground. The TVs need to be updated as they were very small and given the size of our room, really made it difficult to see the TV from the couches. Since our room had a dining room/table, I thought it would have been nice for the hotel to have had some utensils and cups. The lack of a kitchenette wasn't ideal since it would have been nice to cook in the room, but when we requested a microwave, they were quick to provide one. The people working here are extremely friendly and really went out of their way to ensure a good stay. The price was fair and the location was great.

Yelp
LONG BRANCH: As we continued our exploration of Long Branch, we stopped by the Bungalow Hotel in Pier Village, as we heard a rumor they are dog friendly...and it's true! Dogs are allowed in the lobby, at the bar, and in the sleeping rooms. They even have an outdoor fireplace with comfy seating! We hung out at the lobby cafe and enjoyed a hot soft pretzel and drink while taking in the uniqueness of this boutique hotel! When you consider your stay here, be sure to call for the best rates on a dog friendly room!

Yelp
I absolutely loved my stay. I stayed in lil pipeline and it was so clean. The balcony does not look directly at the ocean but you catch glimpses. Loved the fireplace and the daily water and coffee replacements. I felt the room was very clean. The continental breakfast was also delicious. The front desk people were very friendly and took the time to chat or address any concerns (had a small brown out that was addressed immediately). I will definitely be back!

Yelp
PART ONE I enjoyed my stay here. There are, of course, some pros and sadly, quite a few cons. Apologies for the length, but I'd just like to see this hotel soar to greatness! PROs first The customer service I received was great, especially with Taylor. I needed ice? We'll bring it to you. Parking? Let me explain how it works (there's free parking steps away...in pier village? BONUS!). There was another woman who was very friendly and helpful but I didn't get her name. A few other front desk peeps weren't nearly as enthusiastic, but Taylor made up for them. Others talk negatively about the free breakfast. There were muffins, bagels, a toaster, fruit, yogurt, etc. It's a complimentary breakfast. You want NJ Taylor ham egg and cheese? Eggs Benedict? Drive some blocks. Otherwise, it was on par. No issues except that there really wasn't anywhere available to EAT your breakfast comfortably. The refrigerator in our room was restaurant grade. My home brought water bottles and beer settled in nicely. The rooms are SPACIOUS. Four stars. But the decor does seem cheap. Another review mentioned IKEA & I concur. I spent a LOT for this room. Give me a comfy chair (also lacking) in front of the TV. Instead, you've got a shiny plastic hard chair to sit in. And...the layout of the room lacks cohesiveness. A fireplace is nice. But not if you move a plastic, uncomfortable upright chair in front of it. The branches in the corner vase look nice. We hanged our socks on them. A bit of a waste of space and efficiency. If I had the chance to work remotely, there's not a single space to accommodate me and my laptop. Some complain about the bleach smell -- I am happy the cleaning crew thoroughly disinfected our room (even more really nice & friendly people BTW)! I'd rather smell bleach than think we're spending 2 nights breathing random strangers funk Wifi and tv were great. No problems! Bed and pillows were super comfy!

Yelp
This place is a dump and a scam. What kind of hotel charges $1,000 a night and can't be bothered to clean their floors (yes, ours were filthy and smelled like vomit), or their drapes, or their walls. Even the toilet seats looked like something out of an aging fraternity house. I've stayed in Econo Lodge rooms for $69 that looked like the Ritz Carlton in comparison. (And this was in a room the front desk attendant told us was "the nicest in the hotel")! We were promised a "luxury partial ocean view suite," but the only view was of a tree and a parking lot. (See photo below from our balcony). Do you see the ocean? Neither did we (or the manager Alicia for that matter, because when I complained to her she apologized and gave us a few dollars back, but only after I called American Express and threatened to check out). To add insult to injury, after they agreed to give us a paltry refund, they re-charged us for some of it without our authorization and we're still waiting for it to be refunded. Classy! The hotel sits in a parking lot with motorcycles and cars revving their engines all night long (relaxing)! The televisions are small and ancient with few working channels, our fireplace was broken (shocking), the hotel has no food on site, and while social media makes it appear as if the property sits oceanside with a rooftop pool and a private beach, those pictures are really of its SiSTER hotel the Wave Resort, ten minutes away on the other side of the boardwalk. Prepare to do a lot of walking back and forth to use their amenities. Covid times or not, $2,000 for two nights is a ton of cash. If we had paid $250 I would be disappointed with this hotel, but $2K to smell barf, stare at a parking lot and sit in a ragged, dirty room is just an epic insult. Don't believe the hype. This place needs a disinfecting and an overhaul and we need a refund.

Yelp
I loved my stay at Bungalow. Service 5 stars out of 5. Very lovely and helpful staff. Very friendly and welcoming Location 4.5 stars out of 5. There's a bit of ugly construction going on around, but nothing to keep me awake at any point. You can tell the area is still growing, which is exciting. Overall your a super short walk to the beach, a block and a half or so. And at the beginning of a cute little strip mall with some nice restaurants. Interior 4.7 out of 5. I could have stayed here ALOT longer. I did not want to leave. The layout is gorgeous and well done. It feels like your own little apartment. I had a deck as well which was great. I will say the bed was a bit firm for my liking. And if you're staying with friends the bath tub is in the middle of the bedroom in the room I had, so you may want to ask for another layout. I had a one bedroom suite. Can not wait to go back honestly!

Yelp
We got an amazing rate on the second best suite in the hotel - got great view with two bedrooms in the suite. I love modern look and fireplace and the view. My family played card in the living room in front of the fireplace at night. Bed was comfy and clean. Rain shower was awesome and they had bath and body products. We also love the service and friendly staffs. We hung out by the lobby and played futball and pool. We also borrowed the bicycles and rode with our family in the evening. Love the expletive at the bungalow hotel and we will definitely come back to enjoy the beach and boardwalk.

Diane D.

Yelp
Pretty rooms. Safe area. Convenient to shops and restaurants. Walk to beach. The Hang Loose suite has a weird bathroom arrangement with no privacy in the shower. There is an appalling "continental breakfast" included. It's terrible and insulting. It's nothing. Zero fruit. Some mornings there may be a bagel or two sitting there, although stale. Advertised free bikes consists of a total of only three bikes for the whole place. CanNOT believe there's no breakfast and no parking included in the exorbitant rate.

Yelp
We were going to a wedding in Long Branch and I picked the Bungalow instead of the recommended Ocean Place. One block from the ocean but we lived in South Florida and have the same ocean. The room was very modern and magnificent. More like a suite and huge. I would definitely recommend the Bungalow Hotel if you are in the area.

Yelp
Honestly I'm so surprised ! I do travel and have stayed in all sort of hotel but this was disappointing from a value point of view ... I understand we are living in a COVID 19 time frame but for almost $700 a night one can definitely stay in a better quality hotel ... first the hotel offers nothing ... no food / no in-room dining / no Netflix ... one is simply paying for a room / kitchenette which honestly when your paying almost $700 a night your NOT doing any cooking in the room ... when I booked I also paid for rose pedals and champagne upon arriving .... nothing ! They didn't even have the information on their checkin ... I will say the front desk receptionist Ann was amazing and understanding ... we were so disappointed we checked out 2 hours later.

Yelp
This is a first class establishment and well worth the rate. I was very surprised to find this "not so typical" Jersey Shore hotel. This is a very chic and trendy hotel with a super friendly and accommodating staff. I can't wait to return after Covid to really see what the hotel has to offer. The lobby scene seems like a great after beach spot.

Yelp
Hotel or brothel? If you are a gay couple or maybe if you just have a hot boyfriend I don't know, I would think twice on staying at this hotel due to staff behavior cause during my stay my boyfriend was unwelcomely proposition by the young bald / shaved head white desk boy who obviously doesn't know how to act In a work atmosphere or treat his guest professionally during their stay, to have a threesome with him and his African-American boyfriend which is not only morally wrong seeing as he is taken but extremely unprofessional behavior for a staff member to say to guest staying at your hotel!! Other then that I must say The stay was quite pleasant and the rooms are beautiful! But they must improve their employees work etiquette!

Yelp
Aromatic therapy..... That is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of the Bungalow hotel. Headed to Long Branch, NJ for a 1 day conference and decided to stay overnight versus rising early to drive over. So, I went to the internet and discovered this adorable 24 room boutique hotel. I have come to love boutique hotels more than the luxury chain hotels. Fewer people, modern with contemporary design, personality with a slightly higher price tag but worth the money. The hotel is in the Pier Village area of Long Branch. The hotel is so unassuming that I drove right by it. The entrance is located from what I can tell around the back of the hotel just across the street from the parking garage. Lobby is spacious with gaming items, wood decor, a variety of wood carved seating as well as a small bar with approximately 5-6 bar stools. Small but quaint check-in station with an expeditious check in. Access to the floors in the elevator is via swiping the room "key" card on the electronic pad as well as depressing the floor #. I like this added measure of security. Hallways on the floor are spacious and long. And here comes that phrase, AROMATIC THERAPY... Upon walking to my room and throughout my stay, I noticed a very subtle earthy smell in the hallway. Calming and a perfect touch. I enter the room and all I could initially do was smile with a raise brow of happiness and mouth a silent, Wow. Open design of the bathroom and closet within the same area. From the bathroom one can look out into the bedroom space. Small kitchenette frames a partial wall on one side of the room with a sink, counter space and small fridge, The focal area of the room is the king sized bed against white walls and covered with with sheets and a white duvet. Pops of color are noted in the art work, burnt orange sofa, floating zebra print chair, denim flag with a screen graphic of Che Guevara, black lamps and faux chandelier. And the floors are white washed hardwood. The bed is extremely comfortable and those fluffy pillows are divine. The rain-shower head and the water pressure is almost spa like and awesome. Already made reservations for my next stay....

Yelp
I seriously fell in love with this hotel. Check in was quick and easy, the outside is just as beautiful as the inside. Pool table located in the Lobby along with a small bar and a flat screen tv. It is within walking distance from Pier Village. One of the more modern hotels I have stayed at. I personally found the room to be huge! Fire place, chalk board, cozy couch and flat screens (that pull out/ turn) in every room. The shower is also pretty awesome and the bathrooms have "his and her" sinks. Bottle service prices weren't too bad either. However, what really won my heart was the super comfortable bed with cozy sheets/blanket and pillows. I believe it was the most comfortable sleep I have ever had within a hotel room. The cheapest room ( which is what I stayed in) was $200 a night, pricey, but worth every penny. I can not wait to come back here!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I booked at the Bungalow Hotel this past February for Valentines Day The staff was extremely friendly and the room was even better than I imagined, sadly it was way too cold so we couldn't use our balcony. We booked through Booking.com and paid about $179 for the junior suit (this was cheaper than going through the hotels website). The atmosphere of the entire hotel was very relaxed with a tinge of fun and modern. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Yelp
(Aloha room) Super easy and fact check in! Kind staff Complimentary: toiletries (lotion, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, towels) water (fridge to store your own things too) Coffee machine (keurig) Apple TV (if your willing to pay for tv shows and such things) Free wifi DVD player Radio with Bluetooth (loved having some music playing the night!) Dimming lights Big shower to fit a couple! Closed toilet Couple sink Most comfortable bed ever! Lots of space to move Couch that's very relaxing to sit on They also have happy hour (didn't attend due to being pregnant but sure it would fun) It was just perfect! I'm still here for a couple more nights but so far everything has been incredible.

Yelp
We loved this place. From the pool table downstairs to the room itself, everything was really nice. I would say that my favorite part was the bed. Beautiful king sized cloud of heaven. I slept so well. If it was colder, the fireplace would have been nice as well. The last thing we loved was the rain shower. The only bad, was the AC was dripping water. We noticed it before we went to bed. As maintenance wasn't in, the lady at the front desk came right up and helped the best she could. Overall, it wasn't a big deal and I liked how honest she was about the situation. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Was anticipating a weekend stay at what seemingly , and may just be, this beautiful hotel. Upon arrival, we found out that our room was unavailable via the third party we booked with. While providing our info, the front desk rep, who was a white woman, dismissed some of our questions, told us that we had to make the arrangements for the transfer ourselves AND treated the white couple before us with professionalism and care. The worse part was that she also spoke down to us and continued to end every sentence with "sorry for the inconvenience and thank you" -- imagine hearing that 4x! Perhaps the hotel management should revise the hospitality clauses and expectations of customer experiences. This was not pleasant at all and should certainly be taken into consideration under the current climate of our world.

Yelp
This place sucks and nobody helped me when I fell down the stairs and sprained my ankle. I'm never coming back!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel! From the lobby to the hallway to room, my eyes were in awe. The decor and the smell as soon as you walk in is amazing. It reminded me of home since I'm 100% positive I have the same scents in my house lol. The lobby has a seating area with a pool table for the guests. The elevator is card operated which I like. Once you come out, the hallway walls are beautiful and the smell still lingers. The room is very ample, with a kitchenette with a coffee maker and fridge. It has a bunch of cabinets but I didn't have anything to put in there lol. The sink area is open as soon as you walk in featuring 2 sinks, toiletries and a bunch of towels. Across from it is a huge closet and in between these two is the shower and the door to the toilet. The bed was very comfortable and big! The couch was comfy but too low and sitting on it is like falling down. The fire place was beautiful and kept the room nice and toasty on the cold snowy day we went. The view we had wasn't anything special as it was facing a big parking lot but because it was empty and covered in snow it looked beautiful. There's parking for the guests when you check in and it's indoors and safe. I can't wait till I am back in the area as I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Cute place, but had seen better days. You can see the wear and tear of prior years on the room. For the off season price of $160 a night I was surprised. We stayed in "New Zealand", which was comprised of a king bed, bistro table and 2 chairs and a couch from someone's dorm room.... kidding, but it may as well been, it was worn and dated. The towel hook fell off the door and the outlets were so loose our plugs kept falling out. If I was paying on season prices, I'd would have been angry. We were only there one night so.... whatevs. The front desk was great, if your looking for food McLoons was nice, about $100 for 2 with a round of drinks and dessert. Very walkable. Parking is odd and inconvenient, requiring you to hope someone answers the call box to let you out or your stuck. We had to sit twice waiting to get out.

Yelp
I love minimalist decor, I love ocean friendly colors, and I love modern touches with original artwork. I don't really appreciate the fact that there is no food here to eat or for room service because the place is that nice that I would love to just stay here all day. The lobby is super inviting with games, beautiful couches, a cute outdoor seating area with a fireplace, and a bar. :) The service is super friendly and they are very on point with the customers coming in and out. The beds are INCREDIBLY comfortable with huge pillows and fluffy comforters. No bathtub however, which I don't appreciate, but hot water galore and great pressure. The tv's are equipped with hundreds of channels and the fireplace is a very nice touch, easy to use and lovely for creating a nice ambiance in the room. Lastly, the only other thing that could make this place 5 stars would be ocean views, which it does not have, but, it is close to the ocean.

Yelp
This place charged me for a stay when I tried to cancel several times and purposely claimed I didn't email or call them and charged me as a "no show". Meanwhile, only reason I needed to cancel was because it was a tropical storm. It's a shame a place like this is still open. Don't stay here.

Yelp
Stayed here for a night and it was a nice spot. In the spirit of boutique hotels, it had a chic interior with lots of personality. Will definitely stay here on my next stay in Long Branch.

Yelp
For starters it's so nice. It's new and spacious and CLEAN! It's IN pier village. The location is perfect. The room is beyond my expeditions. I've called the front desk twice: 1. to ask how to turn the fire place on and the guy was SO NICE and explained in 5 seconds. 2. I called down for ice and the guy got it for me. He fire place is adorable and the bed is so comfy. Such a cool lobby also. Spacious big shower. I can't say enough.

Yelp
This hotel is cute, definitely unique and i definitely enjoyed it. I was surprised to see how cool the room was upon arrival. I wished I did the room with the tub but they informed us that it was not available. The rain shower is nice, very spacious room. The bed is big and comfortable. I definitely would return- just not during the summer time. They don't have a pool or anything. It is very simple. However, they should do a little bit of some upgrades on the tv, seating, and lights in the room. Besides that no complaints and the fireplace is a nice touch!

Yelp
Had such a great time at this fun, eclectic, chic & cozy hotel! A cold winter night didn't disappoint with the nice fireplace in our comfortable room as well as on the patio. We didn't have to travel far for a nightcap in the lobby with all the fun games & pool table to entertain us. Loved this beachfront community & would love to visit in the warmer months! Thank you for a great night!

Yelp
We just love this place! Second year in a row for my boyfriends birthday weekend and I'm already excited about next year. The rooms are super cute and very clean.. the fire place is such a nice touch! I can't say enough nice things about the staff. They all remembered us from the year before and really went out of their way to make sure our weekend was great! Free pool table and fooz ball in the lobby, fire place and seating outside, decorated sooo cute and yummy drinks at the bar (even brushed elbows with a few famous actors one night). Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We had a great stay at Bungalow. Staff was awesome, and so accommodating and friendly from extremely helpful front desk staff to funny and entertaining bartender, highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for making stay so easy.

Yelp
Spend two days in Kahuna room Pros: very clean, so much room (it's basically an apartment), nice & friendly staff Cons: no amenities, no views, traffic noise, furniture and tv so outdated need some attention. Property looks like neglected. Plastic chair and dining table, couch and wall decor cheap looking. Lobby etc.. just wired decor. Oh I forgot, white floor.. not super bad but, wouldn't go again.

Yelp
This hotel has a lot going for it. Really nice decor that's an upscale beach vibe. Nice lounge area and pleasant staff. However, it lacks basic touches that put it over the top and that you'd expect. The rooms are really pretty. But the modern open bathroom layout is just not something for everyone. If you're staying with someone else and desire privacy as you shower or prep, this is not the place for you. Some design decisions were made more for style than function. Okay bed, low couch, plain towels, single ply toilet paper, no real view of the ocean, and some furniture that might intimidate someone of a bigger size. Even the outlets don't hold a phone charger well. It's really nice. But for the price, you expect a few more finishes than what you actually get.

Yelp
I use to go here for years and now it is owned apparently by a new manager (Kushner?). It's a Boutique hotel and they do not even provide a single water bottle per room. The excuse is COVID but it is interesting that they Leave a bottle of sanitizer in each room which is the same thing. For a high priced hotel which currently has no bar, no room service and no food, to not offer even a single water bottle EVEN if you call downstairs is absolutely not about the customer. It's shameful!!!!!

Yelp
I stayed here for my friend's wedding back in March. It's now July, and I'm writing about it because I don't want to let that good experience slip past Yelp. The staff was professional, super courteous and friendly. Scott Vargos, the manager, was eternally hospitable, and it was a pleasure to stay in his hotel. they have a beautiful bar downstairs which we have stopped in at occasionally since the wedding, and the staff has been wonderful each time. The lobby and bar area are open to the public, so you and stop in and check it out when you are hanging out in Pier Village. A few words about the hotel itself. This is highly stylized contemporary take on a beach bungalow. There are interesting rooms and wallpapers and decorations throughout the hotel. Our room featured a gas fireplace, comfortable couch, king sized bed, and many high end amenities. The hotel lobby and rooms provided interesting backdrops for photos that were taken throughout the weekend - our photos looked like they were meant for a big spread in Vogue. I highly recommend checking out this beautiful hotel!

Yelp
Thank you for reaching out to me but I do not agree with your assumption that i got it in between my stay and returning home. I unfortunately for you went nowhere in between my one night stay with you to my house in north jersey. So somehow someway I received bed bugs from you.

Yelp
I adore this boutique hotel, I wish there were more hotels like this down the Jersey Shore, it's like something you would see in the Greek Isles, very posh, cheeky, upscale, and luxurious. The first time I went for my gf's birthday in April, she got a suite and it was massive. I believe it's the bridal suite that they use for weddings. Anyway, the layout of the room was as such: a decent size kitchen as soon as you walk in, a brand new bathroom to the right, a gas fireplace, flat screen tv, bear skin run, and couches in the middle of the room, and a large king size bed to the right, then a door in the living room that opened up to the other half of the suite which had a huge king size bed, and an open bathroom with a large tub and rainforest shower. We had at least 15 girls in the suite and we all fit, no problem. The bed have the most comfortable plush blanket and pillows. The second time I stayed I had a regular room, which was still fairly large and included a kitchen, a small table and chairs, gas fireplace, rainforest shower, I-POD docking station, and the bed that I adored so much. The lobby is cute too...they have a bar which is open til 2am, pool table, foosball table, and couches. The only negative is that they don't have a kitchen so they don't serve food, but the manager on staff was kind enough to give us some pretzels and told us that the local restaurants will deliver directly to the room if need be. They also have a cute outside area with couches an a firepit. If you're unfamiliar with the area...there are a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops, and boutique shops within a 5 minute walking distance (as well as 5 minutes from the beach). Since the hotel does not have a gym, they offer a daily pass to the Gold's Gym next door for $10/day. Parking is free for 1 car per room. Luckily for me I did not have to pay for either time I've stayed, so I cannot comment on the rates, but I'm sure it's not cheap...however, you will feel like you're at a beautiful resort when you stay here!

Yelp
I absolutely love this hotel. It's modern, chic, stylish and very cozy. The rooms are almost 500 sq ft. So you have room to breathe. The staff is nice and the hallways always smell fresh. An absolute must stay if you want quality and cleanliness ! 10 stars.

Yelp
The experience at Bungalow was great! It's a typical boutique hotel experience, but with spacious rooms and light, beachy decor. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location is great, with all of Pier Village within walking distance. The use of LeClub beach club is a huge bonus. We will definitely be making this a yearly beach getaway.

Yelp
I can only speak highly of Bungalow Hotel. Never an issue. Great service, great location. When I come to Long Branch this is the place I recommend. My only complaint is with their partner, Le Club which is under a different review. BRAVO Bungalow!

Yelp
Amazing amazing amazing! Best/ nicest/ cleanest/ most comfortable hotel I've ever stayed in down the shore. It's not beachfront, but it's absolutely worth it. My boyfriend and I fell IN love with the whole layout of the room (which, apparently, is the only type of room in the hotel)- there's a kitchenette with a very new mini fridge, a double vanity bathroom with a separate toilet and white tiled shower, a big screen TV over a gas fireplace (so amazing), and of course a California king bed. Book it now for one night, a couple of days, or a week-- you won't regret it!
