Our stay at the bungalow was amazing! The place was so spacious and felt very private, which was exactly what we were looking for. Being so close to the jungle made it feel like a real getaway—we could hear the sounds of nature all around, which was so relaxing. The bungalow had everything we needed: a good air conditioner (a lifesaver in the heat), a coffee machine for morning coffees on the porch, and even private parking, which made coming and going super easy. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully set up, so we didn’t feel like we were missing anything. If you’re looking for a comfortable, peaceful spot right by the jungle, I can’t recommend this place enough!

Rooms are cramped and lighting is not great. As the bungalow was left open for cleaning, on the first night there were already at least 5 mosquitos inside the net, so we got bitten many times during the night. Shower water pressure is very low, and not much hot water. The location is right next to the national park. You are surrounded with nature. We saw animals such as toucans, agouti and coati on the property. You can hear howler monkeys throughout the night which is nice. 5 minutes walk away from the main street of Cahuita. WiFi was very good and reliable. As advertised, fan is in the room but no A/C. If you are sensitive to heat and humidity this is difficult. The bungalow gets unbearably hot in the daytime but it does cool down later.

The wildlife around the place was amazing: howler monkeys, spider monkeys, birds... It was nice being close to the National Park.

Stayed 4 nights in the cozy house at the end of the road. Only 1 house past this one so it’s super quiet, secluded and really nobody walking by unless they are at that 1 other house or going for a night hike in the back entrance to the natl park. Excellent place to stay. So close to the park and town and lots of wildlife right in the yard. Had the best capuchin experience walking from the house to the road, a fam of prob 30 of them were interacting with us and our children. Lovely house, ac when you need it, hot water on demand. Outdoor shower to clean up before you use the indoor shower. Hammocks. Good enough kitchen. Really beautiful home to stay in. Host helped us quickly when we needed anything, but didn’t need much. We love Cahuita, it stayed much the same as our last visit in 2006. Better park infrastructure and new grocery stores but it didn’t seem to have changed as much as the pacific areas we went back to. Don’t skip Cahuita, an absolute gem on the Caribbean.

This was just okay for us - really nice setting but the beds were super hard and the rooms were very sparse. There was super strong cigarette smoke smells coming in since some windows don’t close, just screens. This might have just been someone staying nearby but it was kind of a deal breaker for us. The hammocks were nice and we saw monkeys right in the front yard. Great location for the NP but I wouldn’t stay here again.

This is our 8th town we visit in costa rica and by far our favorite. If you are visiting for wildlife this is the place for you!! As we laid on the hammock on deck of bungalows we saw 6 howler monkeys about 15 capuchin monkeys including a mom breastfeeding her baby ...then a bunch of them taking a nap in front of us in the trees ..what an incredible experience got to get up close so many times in the 2 nighta we stayed here ..also in yard was crabs 🦀...birds..butterflies..agouti...iguanas..lizards...so much to see was amazing..way more then in NP which is its backyard and the entrance is next door 3 min walk Leandro the owener was super responsive, helpful and answering our 1000 questions with a kind face and patience.5 days before arriving here we were in tamarindo and I got heat stroke so was worried about not having ac in the unit however with the fans in the room it was good. I especially also loved the mosquito netting around the beds which i will miss the rest of my travels ..being able to go to bed without worrying about bugs/mosquitos..like in every other town we visited felt so good!!! Book here at Bungalows Ache it was the highlight so far of the last 20 days visiting CR and is located in the middle of town. On the 2nd day I actually felt bad for tbe other air conditioned cabins in town who did not have such an experience with the wildlife!!! You will not regret. It's a wooden simple cabin and there is a central kitchenette where you can use toaster microwave stove and utensils as well as other things. Thank you so much for this amazing experience.

Lovely wooden bungalows in a garden setting that attracts wildlife. On the edge of Cahuita national park this was a great location too. Less than 5 mins from the park entrance and shops/restaurants. Leandro was a great source of local and wildlife information. The bungalow was open plan, clean, sturdy (even through a quake) bed were comfortable with nets and a nice modern hot shower. There was free coffee, fridge and plates/utensils. Outside was a lovely seating area with hammock and chairs. We saw Sloth, capuchin and howler monkeys, iguanas and Agoutis while we were there. Plenty of birds too. Perfect place to stay a few days.|

Phenomenal bungalows! The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. Leoandro and the staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. They were extremely accommodating!
