Wow. What a perfect place. Incredibly beautiful spot, so private, pristine, magical. Very clean and pretty rooms. Much nicer than the website. I looked at so many places to stay in San Pancho and I’m so grateful we chose Lydia. So much more beautiful, relaxing, awe inspiring than the bustling places in town with no ocean view or beach access. Plus Lydia’s family was so welcoming, made us feel so safe and welcomed.

Fortunately i fell in love with the view online and didn't check the reviews or I wouldn't have booked it. The bad reviews are wrong but....! Don't expect a five star room that is up to date, everything is a little old and used like the doors and looks that some mentioned. The service is at a minimum and no there is no Starbucks as some expected. the "resort' is super cozy with the pallapa style, the pool is an infinity pool that is not heated but nice and clean. You want to come here for a few days to relax, hear the waves that some people were complaining about and bring what you need. Shopping list: coffee, milk some breakfast stuff you like, some bread and other bites you might be craving while staying here, bring your beer, your wine (if you are a snob bring nice wine glasses) and i had to bring a baguette and some cheese as a European spoiled kid. We are spending right now probably one of the most beautiful and peaceful time drinking a wonderful wine, some snacks and enjoying the sunset and the noise of the waves that is so relaxing and peaceful. for me i couldn't have chosen a better place to spend with my Mariana its just breathtakingly gorgeous and peaceful. If you expect a Hilton room with tea, coffee and many more amenities this is the wrong place spent 1200 dollars and go to the Mayan but if you want to spend a romantic evening and come organized I guarantee you that you will spent a wonderful unforgettable time - forget the bad reviews, read mine and come prepared

Gorgeous hotel with incredible ocean views. Private beach but surf too strong for us reasonable swimmers. Lots of stairs.

We enjoyed 11 days in San Pancho, but finished up with 3 days at B Lydia. What we love is the peace and beauty of the setting. We like San Pancho a lot, but the town can be noisy, and smokey from people grilling outdoors and burning. In contrast, B. Lydia is a full -on nature experience: clean air, quiet, beautiful trees and shrubs, in a gorgeous garden, magnificent quiet beaches. If you don’t have a car, you will need to be organized around self-catering and arrive with all your groceries, or pay 150-200 pesos for a taxi ride to town. Our room was not properly cleaned when we arrived, but Lydia quickly remedied that when I told her. The owners clearly love this family treasure so it’s a very personal and special place. There were minor maintenance issues but we enjoyed our second visit very much.

This is a little slice of heaven on earth. It’s removed from the town so it’s very peaceful. Each room is equipped with a kitchenette and has a view of an outdoor space. Aside from the room and the small pool, and the views, there are no amenities. Come prepared or be ready to make trips into town for coffee and food. This place is family run and they live on site therefore it’s not suitable for everyone. In this part of Mexico, cash is king, be prepared to pay with cash at most places, even hotels and lodging prefer it. This is not an American, five star hotel. It’s a set of bungalows on a cliff side where everything is cared for and loved by a family and their employees. There is no room service or turndown service or concierge. If that’s your vibe- check out the st. Regis in punta mita, a few towns over! For peace and tranquility, Lydia’s is the most special place. I know I will be back for years to come.

Bungalows Lydia is all about an AMAZING location with spectacular views and authentic Mexican architecture. We had a 180 degree plus view of the ocean and magnificent coastline from the panoramic room. We watched the whales spouting and breaching every morning over coffee, watched the waves crashing onto the rocks like fireworks, watched gorgeous sunsets, lines of pelicans skimming the water, and almost always had the two private beaches to ourselves. It was very hard to leave and we can't wait to return. It is a two mile drive on a windy cobblestone road through the jungle to San Pancho, which (for now) is a low key little town full of hippies, skate boarders, dogs, restaurants, shops and a lovely beach. $5 mexican meals at Maria's (not to be confused with Maria Bonita). Ammenities at Lydia's are minimal, so if these things are important to you, bring them: shampoo, coffee, hair dryer, cork screw, wine glasses, cooking oil, salt/pepper, dish soap. There are two hot tubs and an infinity pool with gorgeous views, but they are not heated. Probably very refreshing on a hot, humid day, but just pretty to look at on cooler winter days. Also, no air conditioning, although the ocean breezes are lovely. There are lots of lounges, a few hammocks, and cast iron garden furniture to go hang out, read, or have romantic sunset dinners (many people have meals delivered from town. ) Lydia and her sister, Mayte, are very helpful with suggestions and/or finding what you need for the room. Overall, it was a LOVELY experience!

I stumbled on Bungalows Lydia online and we weren't sure exactly what it as going to be like. We were so pleasantly surprised. The views are incredible. Perched on a cliff, our room was like a wall of windows so you could see the incredible views from anywhere in the room. We had a private sandy patio and spent the whole first day there, not wanting to leave. We watched the sunset and saw whales in the distance. Access to the private beaches are very accessible, and you feel like you have the place to yourself. The pool is amazing, perched over the views. Our room had a kitchen and it was all in great shape. We had one problem with our bathroom and they fixed it right away. We found the owners Mayte and Lydia to be a joy to talk to, and Mayte pointed out places we could eat downtown. Highly recommend this hidden gem. We will definitely be going back.
