You'll almost certainly be using this B&B as a sleeping option to visit Zion National Park, and by all means, do. It's only about a 10 minute drive from the park's (canyon) entrance. Sure, the town of Springdale offers somewhat closer access, but mostly at much higher prices. The Bunk House is run by the incredibly nice Megan and her husband. They are very much into sustainability, low-impact, eco-friendly and all that, and I mean this in the best possible way. Just have a look at their website and you'll understand. Now, don't be put off by that. The rooms and amenities they offer are very nice and equipped with all you'll want and need. They have two rooms to choose from, one with a queen bed and one with a sofa bed. You can combine both rooms - I did - at a slightly higher price, in which case you get the shared bathroom to yourself. In fact, because of their commitment to the environment, they made sure that the guest rooms are very well insulated, which makes them nice and cool in the desert heat. Rooms do not have a TV, but really, who needs that when you’re visiting southern Utah? Wifi connection, however, is available and pretty good. This is a ‘true’ bed and breakfast, meaning you’ll be sharing common spaces with the owners, which I always think is a plus. Megan will prepare a nice (organic of course) breakfast. Since I rose early (Zion National Park is quite popular), she put some stuff on the table so I could head out before 7 a.m. I felt sad I had to leave after two nights. I really enjoyed my time at the Bunk House, a home away from home, clean, affordable and I tremendously enjoyed talking to Megan and her husband.
