When we first arrived at the hostel, I actually had high hopes. We had booked one of the Deluxe Rooms, and at first glance, it really did look nice — spacious, modern, and with a private bathroom. The room itself was definitely the best part of our stay and probably the only thing that lived up to the photos online.
Unfortunately, that impression didn’t last long. The room hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived, and we could tell right away that the bathroom was in terrible condition. The sink and shower were dirty, and the toilet was honestly disgusting. I went to the reception to mention it, and while someone came up to “clean,” it didn’t really make a difference — it was just as gross afterward.
To make matters worse, the Deluxe Rooms are located directly above a bar that plays loud music until around 11:30 p.m. So if you’re a light sleeper or looking for a quiet night’s rest, this is definitely not the right place for you.
After spending some time in the room, we decided to check out the common areas — and that’s when things got even more disappointing. The shared kitchen was in an awful state: dirty counters, unwashed dishes piled up, and a generally unpleasant smell. The communal toilets were no better — they were filthy and really uncomfortable to use.
Overall, the hostel had potential, especially with the design and layout of the Deluxe Rooms, but the lack of cleanliness and poor maintenance ruined what could have been a great experience. It’s such a shame, because with proper cleaning and management, this place could actually be quite nice.
